Anyone else expecting their first child in November? So excited, yet nervous at the same time.

@Haylbop yeah mine wasn't the best..... I didn't even know what to say was just like ermm I'm pregnant and I don't know what I do and when and she was like okay name please? I was like oh okay wow quite a military procedure haha. She then just said you'll get a text and then a letter from midwife. She definitely wasn't there to chat or congratulate me haha.

Haylbop · 23/03/2021 18:41

@pineapple2021 it's bizzare isn't it I was kind of expecting at least a congratulations! I think her attitude just really got my back up. At least I found out from the Dr's that yes I should carry on with my iron tablets and go for a blood test early next month to check my levels and to make sure I ask them to check my BP while I'm there and to avoid antihistamines if possible... I can't wait for the spring hay-fever season to kick in Flowers
How long do you have to wait for midwife appointment did they say? I'm booked in for 13th April

Haylbop · 23/03/2021 18:51

Is anyone else super bloated? I've had to go out any buy some bigger jeans for work today before the button on my current ones fly off and take someone's eye out! Shock

Vickster2002 · 23/03/2021 19:53

@pineapple2021 @haylbop I'm still yet to actually speak to a medical professional at all. Tried to ring my GP last week and they were engaged, so I filled out an online form. Got a text saying congratulations go to this website and self-refer to the midwives. Went to the site but they didn't want me to apply until I was six weeks. So filled out their form on Sunday once I was 6+1 and got and automated email telling me to wait to hear from them. Still waiting. Feels odd that I've known for over a week and haven't spoken to a professional about it!

@Vickster2002 I haven't heard back from mine either, they said allow 10 days but it's been about 2 weeks. I think some areas are maybe having a baby boom due to lockdown 😅

That's awful. Surely someone should acknowledge the referral?

@vickster2002 @dizsquiz that's terrible and I had thought mine was bad! There should be some sort of service where you can get advice immediately in terms of supplements and lifestyle etc. Anything else medical they say don't Google it, it would seem for pregnancy it's a case of Google being the only option!

Mariex1989 · 23/03/2021 21:00

My doctors were useless as well, told me to ring them back at 8 weeks to book in with a midwife 🙄.

Anyone getting cramps still? Keep getting random feelings like AF is about to appear and it’s terrifying me 🙈 x

Yes I've definitely been getting cramps on and off, I'm hoping its just everything stretching

Awake tonight - had insomnia for 4 nights now which is most unlike me!

pineapple2021 · 24/03/2021 06:22

@ElmtreeMama I keep waking up around 1 and am wide awake for a good two hours..... so annoying!

Haylbop · 24/03/2021 07:30

@elmtreemama I've been getting cramps still to but they do feel a little different to menstrual cramps. More stretcing across rather than twisting if that makes sense. TMI but I'm also a lot more gassy than usual

Mariex1989 · 24/03/2021 08:54

@Haylbop yeah same they do feel slightly different, it’s like it cramps and then tingles/pinches for a bit after. Glad it’s not just me then and seems normals 😅.

Hahah agree with being extra gassy also.

Feel like a zombie today!
@mrsbg1990* sorry to hear the lines are getting fainter - as *@Cinderellashoes says it might be the tests being inconsistent. Maybe try a digital test if your period doesn't arrive when it should? Fingers crossed for you.
Sadly I started my period this morning @Cinderellashoes good luck to you all x

ElmtreeMama · 24/03/2021 16:23

I'm sorry to hear that! I know that can be hard :(

Floryella · 24/03/2021 16:24

@Mrsbg1990 I'm really sorry to hear that, sounds like a possible chemical. Must be really disappointing, thinking of you x

ELMcg · 24/03/2021 16:54

Hello ladies can I join? Just got a BFP after a MC just before Christmas. Excited, but also super nervous!

Current due date is end of November! 🤞

I'm in exactly same boat Keeping everything crossed for both of us!
SaoirseinSussex · 24/03/2021 17:05

Also due 23rd Nov! Extremely cautious about getting excited (1st pregnancy ended in MC in December), but feeling positive and have early scan booked for beginning of April.... Crossing fingers and toes until then and relishing the sore boobs and exhaustion as they remind me things are happening in there!

Hi all! I’m due mid November, and almost 7 weeks but feeling scared as had ectopic last year. Was feeling very tired and queasy until today, feeling more energetic and now worry hormones are dropping Confused anyone experience morning sickness that comes and goes??

l16bxt · 24/03/2021 19:50

@Floryella hey I just noticed your post and it's strange cause we've been trying for 13 months after a miscarriage so we was about to book ivf and I did a test and it confirmed I was 2-3 weeks with a cb. Congratulations to everyone. I'm due around 22/23 nov :)

Cinderellashoes · 26/03/2021 19:56

I had a scan today at EPU and all is well!!! Little peach measured 6+1 and had a strong heartbeat and healthy looking sac!
I do have a small blood clot but they think it’s unlikely to cause problems.
