Anyone else expecting their first child in November? So excited, yet nervous at the same time.

@Floryella

Is anyone else obsessively testing? I need to stop doing it every day but I like seeing the line progression. I used a CB digital weeks one today and got 2 - 3 which is where I should be. Basically everything looks good... I wonder when the anxiety will start to go away?
Haha yes me 🙋🏻‍♀️ so exciting and soothing seeing BFP congrats to you x
TTCinAm · 21/03/2021 17:59

Hi everyone!
Got my BFP today and due sometime in November (bit hard to predict as my cycles can be anywhere between 27 and 48 days!) So far only got really sore boobs and mild cramping. How's everyone doing?! It feels almost unbelievable to actually be pregnant!

Haylbop · 22/03/2021 07:13

We've told my parents OH was worried that if something happened and no one could get in touch with him that as my second ICE he wanted my parents to be aware. He also insisted on me telling my manager so that I am not given any heavy duties also as I am currently only working 2 miles from the hospital and they are restructuring in work they will hopefully leave me where I am. I was actually glad to talk to my manager as we are close and she has 2 young children so was able to give me a bit of advice

Mariex1989 · 22/03/2021 18:29

Has anyone got any glaring symptoms yet? I’ve hardly got any at all, slightly uncomfortable boobs but that’s about it. I’m 5 weeks today and anxiety has well and truly kicked in already 🙈😩 xx

Vickster2002 · 22/03/2021 18:42

I have been so exhausted today. Feeling totally drained and against a wall of tired. Apparently it means everything is normal, but I felt like I wanted to go to bed at 5pm and stay there.

I’ve got a chest infection Sad I’ve had a bad cold and now I have crackles and am short of breath. Starting antibiotics tonight. Worried about the baby but guess I need to treat my infection too

Lizbb · 22/03/2021 21:23

Hey guys can I join please. I'm so happy but anxious to have got bfp at 11dpo. I'm 4wks today. Baby due nov 29. My bday is nov 15. Good way to save money and throw one party. 🤣. At the moment the nausea and back pain has gone down but now I'm having lower abdomen feelings not painful and just tried. Congrats everyone. 🥳

maggsieB · 23/03/2021 08:53

Is it normal to have minimal symptoms? I'm 6+0 today, my boobs are tender and had intermittent cramping but that's it. No nausea or vomiting etc. I've had another bfp this morning just to make sure, I'm such a little worried

Cinderellashoes · 23/03/2021 09:02

I’ve woken up and realised my
Sore boobs abs nausea have completely vanished. Trying to get a scan currently at the EPU because of some cramping Sad

Floryella · 23/03/2021 09:21

I'm having the same symptom anxiety!

My boobs are much less sore today and yesterday and have had the odd cramp, and it's freaking me out. I did another Clearblue weeks yesterday which said 3+ so that's a good sign, but jeez it's so stressful isn't it! I think at this time in the pregnancy there are so few signs that it's actually real, so it's really easy to get obsessive about the ones we do have.

I thought about going for an early scan but I heard a few stories where people didn't see anything as it was too early and it worried them even more. I'm going to wait a few weeks and have one when I'm a bit further along, about 8 weeks. It's just so hard to wait.

@Cinderellashoes hope everything goes ok for you at the EPU, let us know!

DizSquiz · 23/03/2021 09:27

@Cinderellashoes symptoms do come and go, unfortunately. Most people have cramping I think the only concern is cramping with bleeding?

I second @Floryella a lot of people end up worrying more after an early scan as there's not enough to see!

Cinderellashoes · 23/03/2021 09:28

I just don’t ‘feel’ pregnant though. And this is my third pregnancy so I have experienced two normal healthy pregnancies already. Sad I’m 6 weeks today, if I could just see SOMETHING I would be glad.

pineapple2021 · 23/03/2021 09:48

@Haylbop I think we are due around same time and also first for me so no clue what I'm doing......

With everyone on the symptom anxiety..... feel totally normal today just slightly sore boobs and it makes me panic but trying to just go with it and enjoy these no sickness days.

Mrsbg1990 · 23/03/2021 12:23

Hey all, I got a BFP 6 days before AF was due with a clear line. My AF is due tomorrow but the line has weakened and barely there. I have only been using Frer. Can anyone advise. Is this an indication of a possible chemical or maybe the egg was fertilised but unable to implant. Anyone with a similar experience? Please help

Cinderellashoes · 23/03/2021 12:35

Have you been testing at the same
Time of the day?

Mrsbg1990 · 23/03/2021 12:37

Yes pretty much. First thing in the morning. I just thought with my period due to start tomorrow the hcg levels should be going up rather than down. This was second pregnancy after mmc at 10 weeks in November so was really excited but feel quite upset now.@Cinderellashoes thanks for responding x

Vickster2002 · 23/03/2021 12:53

Welcome and congrats to all new joiners! We're getting quite a crowd - how exciting!

My symptoms are still pretty mild, with the exception of the exhaustion. My friends with kids say this is normal. But it does seem so strange that this early bit is so quiet.

@cinderellashoes - hope your infection clears quickly. Xx

Have you been using the same brand if test? Do you have a pic? It could just be that the tests are slightly more or less sensitive, even if they’re the same brand

I am going to the epu on Friday when I’ll be 6+3 🤞

Mrsbg1990 · 23/03/2021 13:32

@Cinderellashoes same brand same timing I will attach photo when I’m home

Floryella · 23/03/2021 14:30

@mrsbg1990 sorry to hear the lines are getting fainter - as @Cinderellashoes says it might be the tests being inconsistent. Maybe try a digital test if your period doesn't arrive when it should? Fingers crossed for you.

Ahh I see what you mean. I hope that's what it is-definitely making me hold on to a bit of hope. I will take one tomorrow morning as AF is due tomorrow. Will defo let you lovely ladies know. Thank you x
Ps more advice on this welcome x

Had a miscarriage at 7 weeks in December which was first pregnancy and now this Smile
I am 5 weeks today

Had terrible stitch like pain today and also insomnia for last 3 nights

Floryella · 23/03/2021 15:53

@elmtreemama congratulations! I'm 5 weeks today too.

5 years is a long time, you must be so excited!

I'm really sorry to hear about your previous loss but hopefully all will go well this time.

ElmtreeMama · 23/03/2021 15:56

Thank you!!!

Soooooo excited and also so nervous!!

Hard not to be anxious isn't it?

Haylbop · 23/03/2021 18:00

@pineapple2021 how was your experience of phoning your GP? My GPs receptionist could not have been less interested if she'd tried she told me I didn't need to speak to my Dr she'd just put me in the system she honestly spoke to me like I was a child ... She got a right mouth full back from me! Had to tell her I apologise that I've never been pregnant before and I have no idea what I need to do then asked her was she medically qualified to discuss my low BP and current anaemia since its 3 weeks before my first midwife appointment. My poor Dr had to ring up and apologise for her. Good job I love my Dr otherwise I'd be having to look for a new one Smile
