Anyone else with veeery early November positives who wants to hop on a thread and keep one another company?

I’ll start - I’m a MN regular posting under a new name. Took a test this morning and got a BFP! I already have DD(3) and last year we sadly lost her sibling to miscarriage - so I’m expecting a nervous nine months ahead. Sorest boobs ever and odd dreams the past few days but otherwise feeling ok (I know it’s very early though!). Oh, and DD gave me a hug yesterday and announced that there was a baby in my belly 🤦‍♀️

How are others getting on?

Does anyone else already have a bump? Well i breathe out I am noticeably pregnant! Not sure if this is because it's my second baby. I also weigh less than I started off with in my last pregnancy. I'm sure it's just bloat, but the roundedness looks very pregnant.

MissDaniB · 08/03/2021 13:50

@LikeSomeKindOfMadness I think I’m going to book a private 8 week scan too. I’ll go crazy waiting until 12 weeks to see if all is okay!

sheslikebutter · 08/03/2021 13:51

Thanks so much:) good luck in your journey too, its all very exciting! And nervewracking haha.

Strawberry0998 · 08/03/2021 14:17

@sheslikebutter congratulations - so sorry your lost your daughter Flowers

I too wasn’t taking folic acid but have started now I know I am pregnant, and I think as long you take it as soon as you can up to 12 weeks it’s better - but you could give your GP a call if you are worried?

Maya000 · 08/03/2021 14:22

@LikeSomeKindOfMadness Congratulations! Hope you are getting on okay. (I think my spotting has now stopped). Apart from feeling tired, I still feel normal and no other symptoms Hmm

@sheslikebutter I know quite a few ladies that did not take any supplements at all during their pregnancy and still gave birth to healthy children. I only started taking folic acid after I got my bfp in my previous pregnancy. I'm sure you'll be fineSmile

Maya000 · 08/03/2021 14:33

I wouldn't call mine a bump. Lol I still had half a stone to lose from my previous pregnancy so, I think it's just that. I had swelling and extreme bloating with my first and I looked 6 months pregnant in the first trimester. Some days were better than others

@LikeSomeKindOfMadness @MissDaniB
I was in two minds about booking a 8 week scan but, you're right 12 weeks feels like it's a long way to go. I think my epu might be able to offer me a scan considering my previous mmc. Excited but equally nervous!

sheslikebutter · 08/03/2021 15:04

@Maya000 @Strawberry0998 thank you both! The folic acid tablets are arriving later (good old Amazon) so I'm going to start this evening. Also have iron and vitamin D too, I was put on ferrous sulphate last time and they were horrific so I'm trying to avoid that at all costs! Lots of leafy greens for me 😂

I've attached my BFP but want to double check that you all see a line too? I'm not sure on dpo but AF is due Sunday. So I'm still very early, the line came up in the time and is pink. But I'm a worrier haha xx

Due November 2021 - anyone?
Nnovember · 08/03/2021 15:09

@sheslikebutter yes that looks like a line for sure to me.

@Maya000 I guess this is this is just swelling and bloating then, but I didn't feel this big the last time. Each pregnancy is different I need to remember.

Maya000 · 08/03/2021 15:26

@Nnovember. It's difficult not to make comparisons. But, they do say you start showing" earlier with your second. But, I was hoping I had a few more weeks before it became obvious iywim lol

@sheslikebutter yep there's definitely a lineSmile I'm dreading the iron tablets aswell but, I feel lethargic all the time I'll probably need them again Hmm

Maya000 · 08/03/2021 15:30

@Nnovember just thought I'd add most ladies had correctly guessed that I was having a girl because of my swelling and bloating. Apparently it is more common with girls. It was true for me. Do you have a preference

Looks a line to me! It’s faint but it’s there - it’ll get stronger as the week goes hopefully - keeping my fingers crossed for you! 🤞🏻

Hi all!

I’m jumping on too if that’s okay! 5 weeks pregnant today, due date of 8th of November, following a missed miscarriage in November.

I’m finding it so difficult to get excited at the moment, I was really happy for the first couple of days but then the fear kicked in. I’m just finding it so hard to stay positive :(

Is anyone else feeling the same following me?

Garman · 08/03/2021 15:51

@bookwitch13 I don't feel positive at all, it's completely normal. There's no rules about when or if someone should feel excited, society just makes us think we should be ecstatic from the second we get a positive test. After miscarriage that's definitely not usually the case.

Maya000 · 08/03/2021 15:54

Hi @bookwitch13 congratulations! I experienced the same so, I can totally relate to your anxiety. I feel scared to be happy or openly discuss it with my dh but, I am trying to remain positive and keep myself busy (I know it is easier said than done). As I mentioned earlier, I might just book a scan in 2 weeks time to see if everything is okay inside. Wishing you a healthy pregnancy! :)

Ah I am the same, I’m so worried to make any reference to the future just in case! We have a private scan booked in a couple of weeks, after last time just being able to see something in the sac will be a bonus. Wishing you a healthy pregnancy too!

Definitely agree and thank you, it’s good to be able to talk to people who can relate!

sheslikebutter · 08/03/2021 16:03

@Strawberry0998 @Maya000 @Nnovember thank you 😊

@bookwitch13 congratulations - I'm feeling the same but I'm only early. I've already googled a million things. I wish you a healthy and happy pregnancy 😊

Same here. I’m approaching the gestation when I had my last loss and am a bit of a headcase at the mo. Add to that my odd work situation - I basically can’t tell anyone, am the only employee and have to risk assess myself - and it’s all a bit stressful for me. I hope things improve for all of us as the days/weeks pass.

Sunbird24 · 08/03/2021 17:28

@bookwitch13 exactly the same here too - I’m 5+1, and the previous attempt miscarried from 27 Nov, 11 days after I’d told my parents and let them get excited too. They’re not finding out until there’s a heartbeat this time!

Sunbird24 · 08/03/2021 17:32

I’m just back from work and absolutely knackered. I may have to refuse to book any meetings after 4pm and float the idea of more time wfh for the next few weeks.

Nov21 · 08/03/2021 18:09

I’ve got worse cramping today and I’m so worried:( hope it’s just uterus stretching

AlackAlasAlackaday · 08/03/2021 18:28

Gah, nov, fingers crossed.

OP posts:
squidlady · 08/03/2021 18:39

@Nov21 Does it come and go or is it constant? I get reeeeally intense cramps that last for maybe 20 seconds about 5 times a day, really hope it's stretching!

GSMCK · 08/03/2021 19:18

@Nov21 I am sure all will be ok. Have you got any bleeding? Try not to worry stretching and pulling is very normal. I have had lots of it on and off. X

jennytogether · 08/03/2021 19:30

@bookwitch13 I also had a missed miscarriage found at my 12 week scan (baby died at 10weeks) in November, and I’m pretty certain I’m pregnant again now (4weeks 5days) but I’m not taking a test yet... My period is 5 days late, feeling fatigue and some nausea and we’re trying, but a positive test result doesn’t quite have the same certainty it did last time. So I’m just rolling with it for a bit, and letting it sink in slowly... almost tempted to wait until 6 weeks so maybe when I have a test I can enjoy a bit more certainty with it.

The 12 week scan will be the big milestone though. I’m focusing on the end of each week meaning a bit less risk.
