Due November 2021 - anyone?

Anyone else with veeery early November positives who wants to hop on a thread and keep one another company?

I’ll start - I’m a MN regular posting under a new name. Took a test this morning and got a BFP! I already have DD(3) and last year we sadly lost her sibling to miscarriage - so I’m expecting a nervous nine months ahead. Sorest boobs ever and odd dreams the past few days but otherwise feeling ok (I know it’s very early though!). Oh, and DD gave me a hug yesterday and announced that there was a baby in my belly 🤦‍♀️

How are others getting on?

Yes, @Mysleepingangel, very

Rmd123 · 14/03/2021 20:07

@Mysleepingangel I'm the same! 3 weeks and 3 days and having slight cramping x

ktypage · 14/03/2021 20:14

5+6 today, I feel like my symptoms have really ramped up today!
No sickness but nausea and napping on and off, feel like I’ve been hit by a bus.
Does anyone else can random hot flushes too??

Sunbird24 · 14/03/2021 20:16

I’m only a day ahead of you @ktypage, I slept on the sofa practically all afternoon yesterday!

ktypage · 14/03/2021 20:28

@Sunbird24

I’m only a day ahead of you *@ktypage*, I slept on the sofa practically all afternoon yesterday!
That is exactly me today!!! And sorry for TMI, after not having TOO much sore boobage, my nipples really hurt arghhh. I’ve mentioned before but we had a MMC in October so I’m super anxious and it isn’t budging, but reading on here is super reassuring as I know I am not alone in this so thank you everyone
Mysleepingangel · 14/03/2021 21:08

@Rmd123 and @Aisforharlot oh thanks!
I'm really dreading the next 3 weeks at work (teaching) because I feel so tired but have so much work to do when I get home :(

Rmd123 · 14/03/2021 21:22

@Mysleepingangel hopefully the next few weeks fly by. I'm out of work due to covid til May (hairdresser) so hopefully if I have any morning sickness it's gone by the !

When is everyone planning on telling their parents? I was going to book in for an early scan at around 7 weeks and then tell them. I have dinner/drinks with my parents every weekend and they'll know!!

BlindMelon123 · 14/03/2021 21:29

Has anyone else had spotting? Mine started last week (5 weeks) and stopped, then seems to have ramped up again. I had a scan and was told it could be a subchoironic bleed outside of the sac in my uterus. It’s got worse since the scan so I’m getting worried Sad

Mysleepingangel · 14/03/2021 21:33

@Rmd123 I'm praying that they do!

I think I'll tell my mum after I've had my surgery mid May (cerclage for incompetent cervix). Hopefully by then I'll see her too because of half term so it should work out.

I just don't want to tell her now and get her heart broken if things don't turn out positive (I've had a late loss around 20 weeks :()

ktypage · 14/03/2021 22:06

This is probably a bit controversial but I told my mum when I found out and my husbands mum a bit later- no one else yet.

Mainly for support if something goes wrong again. Having to explain to someone you were pregnant in the first place and then miscarried is something that will haunt me forever and I don’t want to have to do again. It has also helped so much, they have been supportive without being overbearing and understanding. I’m so happy we did it. It’s such a hugely personal decision and it depends on the personalities of your families, but I don’t think there is ever a right or wrong time to tell your close family. I don’t think my anxiety could have dealt with not telling them this time round. X

I told mine today 😬 was gonna hold it in but I couldn't 😂 also figured if the sickness kicks in soon I won't be able to hide it either x

cupcakesandglitter · 14/03/2021 22:24

@ktypage I'm the same as you, I'd rather have that support and talk about it! I've had 7 MC altogether and family only know about 1 or 2. I'm done with hiding and keeping it quiet, if it's going to happen I'd rather have that support x

@Mysleepingangel that sounds so tough, sorry for your loss, what an incredibly brave and strong woman x

Happy Mother's Day to you all x

fglitter · 15/03/2021 00:05

Hi everyone! First time poster here, just got a BFP today. Early days - think I’m around 4 weeks although typically last month was the first time in forever I forgot to put my period dates into Clue and my memory is total mush thanks to lockdown so could be off! Potential (😂) due date is Nov 19th.

Positive test was totally unexpected as we were in the fence about another baby and just seeing what happened before drawing a line in the sand and declaring no more babies (oops). I usually take ages to fall pregnant (and I mean ages - 2.5 years first time and 4 years last time) so trying not to get my hopes up! This will be baby #3 all being well. I have a seven year old daughter and a 14 month son.

Any other third timers around?

AlackAlasAlackaday · 15/03/2021 07:00

Welcome @fglitter. I think there are a couple of thirds and even fourths (!) on the group, you're in good company.

@ktypage I agree, re support. I also think more generally the more open people are about MC the better - obviously when you're the one going through it it's not realistic to act as some sort of ambassador but the whole "oh, don't tell before 12 weeks thing" makes things so painful for people who have suffered losses because it can make it harder to open up. It's so tricky isn't it?

Aisforharlot · 15/03/2021 07:09

Yeah, I told parents immediately. I need support! Have told ds7, he was aware of my mmc and he understands the vague why. He will obviously see if I'm sad.
This preg feels pretty different so I'm hopeful.

DaenarysStormborn · 15/03/2021 07:29

I told mine yesterday too. She just looked at me and clearly it is written all over my face.4 weeks today and agree totally with cramping/bloating...I'm so tired as well! Booked an early scan, so hoping we make it to that date and then we can tell the rest of our families.

LikeSomeKindOfMadness · 15/03/2021 07:30

I told my parents and siblings. Also told a hand full of friends. Should I have a miscarriage I'd need their support so I decided to share.

Rmd123 · 15/03/2021 09:25

Morning ladies! I'm testing everyday until I miss my period and my FRER was the tiniest bit lighter than it was yesterday. However the control line is a bit lighter too. Should I be worried? I did wake up around 5am to pee so maybe it wasn't as strong.

DizSquiz · 15/03/2021 09:49

@Rmd123 no, I'd consider only testing every 2 days if at all otherwise you'll drive yourself mad

Rmd123 · 15/03/2021 10:18

@DizSquiz yeah I think that's the best option! They actually all look the same dried out so not worrying as much!

DauntedAF · 15/03/2021 10:20

You've no idea how happy I am to finally be able to post here!!

Our first ever BFP yesterday after 2+ years of ttc and 1 year of fertility treatment.

Early days - I'm officially 4 weeks and 1 day pregnant (hello poppy seed! :) ) and due 21 November.

In terms of telling people - we didn't tell family we were going through IVF. They're desperate for us to have kids and the thoughts that there might be issues would only make them more anxious. We're waiting to tell them at the 12 week mark.
However, we have told 2 other friends whove been through IVF themselves. We've our official test with the fertiliity clinic on Wednesday 17th so will tell those 2 friends once we get the official confirmation!

In the meantime, i'm so distracted!! For anyone thats just recently found out they are pregnat and are first time mums - how on earth are you concentrating at work??? Zero interest!!

AlackAlasAlackaday · 15/03/2021 11:14

That’s so lovely @DauntedAF FlowersFlowers Flowers. Welcome! Gosh, what a long road you’ve had.

rmd the HCG (?) hormone levels double every second day I read, so every day won’t tell you much (though I understand the temptation!).

I had lunch/ second breakfast at 10.30. So hungry!

Vickster2002 · 15/03/2021 13:01

Tested positive on Saturday and still reeling. First baby and first time on Mumsnet. My app reckons I'm 5 weeks. Told DH approximately 5 secs after the stick said pregnant. Told best friend. But no one else yet, still seems too new and surreal. Trying to focus on work but boobs are so sore and I slept really badly last night. Is that a thing?

Robyn101 · 15/03/2021 13:15

Can I tentatively join? I got my BFP this morning at 10DPO. FF has me at 3+3 with a due date of Nov 26th . It would be my first and I’m absolutely terrified of anything going wrong

Symptoms wise just been having the odd weird tummy feeling, backache and sleepiness

@Rmd123 ooo date twins!
