Miss Hollie arrived today at 5.27pm after emergency c section weighing a big 8lbs 12 oz , long day and night of labour but so worth it ❤ 5 days overdue so everyone still waiting i hope youse arent too far off ! X

@MissKhan1990 don't worry my baby was also back to back I got some intense labour pains but was able to turn her a bit whilst I was in labour. She still needed some guidance to get out but was fine xxx I. Understand the back pain though, keep strong you've got this! Xxx

@faithfulbird20 bless you, it’s really frustrating but hang on in there! I think relaxing is the best thing you can do, sounds so simple but it’s the most difficult thing to do! Just think in less than 2 weeks you will be holding your baby

Had my 40 week midwife appointment this morning, so sign of baby making an appearance anytime soon so they've booked me in for an induction on 11th March with a sweep next Friday. Hoping she arrives before then but looks like I'm going to be March whatever happens. Feeling pretty frustrated as I didn't really want to go down that route 😔

Congratulations to you.

After a horrible night of intense contractions and more in the morning. I went to the labour ward and am only 2cm dilated.
On a positive note, midwife said she expected me back in 24hrs. I really hope so, the feeling of having a hot poker in your bum is not something l want to continue with.

Hopefully you wont be too long in coming back, I was only 2cm when I got checked in hospital after my waters went! Got to 5cm quite quickly so fingers crossed!! I managed to get to full dilation by the afternoon but thats a different story, she was never for coming out that route! Currently waiting on our pharmacy to come so we can go home ❤ Underestimated how sore trapped wind would be after section lol. Fair play to youse who this is their 2nd/3rd child, I could keep it at 1 after these past couple days lol

Had bloody show on Wednesday evening & been contracting since 2am went to the hospital this morning and she was only able to get a fingertip in 😳 it's my second so was hoping it would have been a lot faster! Contracting regularly and getting longer but just feel like I have no idea when it's going to happen 😳 my first was only 14hours so I wasn't prepared for the long haul 🤣 xxx

@LBoz39 i had my 40 weeks appointment today too. After a depressing crying weeping day of hell yesterday (my due date). I've got a sweep next Friday and induction on the 9th I think. COVID test on 6th too. It doesn't matter. Good luck to you ... looks like we're going through the same thing ❤️

@jbx10 I have not bothered to read my report because of my experience as I don’t want to overthink what happened but what I heard was I lost little less than 1litre of blood. I stayed for 1 night but the night shift MW also gave me a horrible experience. I was in tears at about 2am when I was ringing the bell for help and one of them came in and said - don’t ring the bell I’m sure you can walk up to the desk and ask whatever you want.

@Ariana87 yes absolutely- wonder why some of them won’t believe us! 🙄

On another note- I’ve been feeling very sore down there with all the stitches. Perhaps also got a rash from the pads. Only cleaning with warm water is not helping.
Any helpful tip ladies as I’m unable to sit. 😟

@Newmumfeb2021 that's out of order from them! Sorry to hear you didn't have a good experience, But glad you didn't have to stay in more than 1 night,!hope you have a speedy recovery ❤️ I was pretty much begging to go home I think one more night there would have sent me over the edge! my stitches have also been really uncomfortable and not much I can do to relieve it, trying to lay down where possible. The gel/ wash the hospital gave me also seems to help a bit xx

@Newmumfeb2021 they wanted me to stay in another night too because of the awful labour/section experience but i just wanted home. The nightstaff were brill and helped clean me up and Hollie and offered painkillers constant but the daytime I was just left, and I was waiting quite long on painkillers - which she kept apologising for and obviously i work as a nurse in the hospital I could see she was so busy, it wasnt her fault but i just thought I could be at home dealing with my own painkillers and my OH can be helping with baby for the MWs just dont have the time for every lady!! So definitely glad to be home, i think we will recover better in our own environments.
But i DEFINITELY underestimated the pain of a section.

What stuff extra things would you suggest to put in your hospital bag for an induction?

Well I have joined the new mum club, baby girl born yesterday afternoon 7 pounds 7.

After a failed sweep last thursday and being told at my sweep this thursday that my cervix hadnt chaged at all in a week and still just one cm, went in to natural labour saturday morning 3cm when I got to hospital, they tried to send me home but contractions where back to back and I started bleeing from somewhere, went to 6cm within 40 mins and 9cm an hour after, ended up needing a cut and assisted birth and had a big bleed behind the plecenta so not been able to leave yet but hopefully be home soon.

Good luck to all the mums still waiting as in my case it can happen anytime dont get dishearterned.
