Congrats to everyone who's had their little ones. I went in for a sweep yesterday couldn't do it cos babys head isnt engaged yet, got another booked for tomorrow but I dont think much has changed. Got induction booked for Saturday when I'll be 11 days over. She doesn't look like she's coming before then, just a waiting game now and saturday seems so long off.

I had my sweep today. Baby is 3/5 engaged. They said my cervix was softening but still closed. I've been booked in for my induction on the 2nd March, no time given yet as they will contact me on the 1st for this. I will be having a Covid test on Sunday and then can't leave the house ahead of the induction unless I go into labour before going to hospital. I feel very crampy and that I'm going to explode so hopefully these are signs but he seems too content to remain tucked up inside atm

I had a lot of blood/mucus around 3/4 which im assuming is my bloody show, still ongoing now when I wipe but very inconsistent cramps nothing else exciting. Dont want to get my hopes up that something will happen soon though, just been flat out on my ball ! Dont know how long it takes for the show to stop coming though 🙈 Anyone any experience of the show that can enlighten me

For everyone who’s getting frustrated (I feel for you all!) and trying anything they can I found something on a more American forum called the miles circuit which a lot of them raved about, i YouTubed it and it’s basically a handful of positions you do to supposedly engage baby more and bring on labour. I did it twice the week before I went into labour, not sure if it helped but thought I should mention it as id never heard of it before. One of the positions you can nap whilst doing as well which was fine by me 😆 keeping everything crossed for you all!

Its due day!!

Well, l called the Labour ward this morning as the pressure in my back was unbearable. Midwife told me that lm not even close to Labour and to carry on as normal.

Still losing my mucas plug.

@MissKhan1990 sounds like baby might make an appearance soon due to the pressure in your back

I've given up I'm not even close...really wanted a February baby but I think March is when it will happen. I've got no signs...no pain whatsoever...sometimes I don't even feel I'm pregnant...oh well... baby can come when he/she wants too...

@MissKhan1990 mucus plug is a good sign for baby to make an appearance.

I had a bit of blood last night following my sweep but other than the odd cramp no signs of anything so I'm thinking I'm joining the March club too @faithfulbird20

I had my baby boy today (3 days before due date) weighing 5.7lb. Had a whirlwind of contractions that started Tuesday 4am. Triage was not believing me at first until I started crying in pain. When they agreed to check me at 5am today, I was 4 cm dilated.

I Was badly in pain. They were taking too long to get epidural so I had a natural birth, without any pain relief and many tears. Gas &air was making me sick. I was 4cm at 5.30am, 5cm at7am and fully dilated by 8am. MW was shocked at such a quick progress! I was pushing as I was contracting in pain and all the while MW was asking me not to. I told her I couldn’t control. They’ve kept me in tonight to assess as I list a lot of blood but not enough for them to give me a transfusion. Hopefully I’ll be out tomorrow morning/ afternoon!

Just caught up on the previous thread and I'm gutted to read about Saff - has anyone heard from her? I tried to leave my message but the thread is, rightfully, closed now.

It was nice to come on this thread and see lots of you having your babies, and reading through all the names and weights. Congratulations to you all, I hope you are all enjoying the newborn bubble.

Congrats to everyone who have already had their babies! I’ve been quietly following the thread for a while but only finished work on Friday so not really had much time to post. I’ve had 2 weeks of contractions and thinking things have started for things to just stop after an hour or so. I’m pretty fed up as I am due on Friday and both my other children arrived at 39 weeks, I was totally convinced I was going to be even earlier with this baby with having signs so early, but no! I’m so frustrated and I’ve not even reached my due date! I have been spotting today which I’ve never had with my other pregnancies, but google says it could mean labour is imminent or weeks away 🙄.

@Newmumfeb2021 congratulations! Hopefully you'll be able to leave tomorrow. I lost around 650 of bloods and they kept me in 2 full days and one night. Wasn't too bad but was definitely so pleased to be home yesterday. Take the time to recover whilst your there and you can use the MW support 🥰

Well after thinking Id be in the March Club too baby is on her way! Having contractions since midnight, and waters broke around 3 - all assessed, only 2cm but there keeping me in and im laid up in a wee room on my own hoping for a sleep soon! I had no signs at all yesterday so ye never know what could happen ladies!

Good Morning, Ladies

After a relentless night of pain and no sleep. I ended up legs akimbo on the toilet as this was the only place the pain was manageable. And got a bit of sleep while rocking back and forth. Just had a warm bath and pain relief.

Praying that this is over soon for all of us still waiting. Xx

Yay!! Fingers crossed for you

Getting ready for another long walk.. I don't think it'll help anything move along but I'm bored lol

I'm getting angry, upset and frustrated because I guess I'm dealing with the fact that my baby is going to be overdue (maybe I've done something for it to be overdue) and people are questioning me any progress? Any progress?

So no more sex, no more eating dates, pineapples, papayas or whatever, no more walking or eating spicy food. It's actually quite stressful. Just going to chill and get on with my normal routine.

I'm in early labour midwife confirmed. My baby is back to back which explains the pain in my bum!! Her spine is pressing on my pelvis. Midwife recommended some exercises to get her to rotate. I'm going to do the miles circuit tonight and as much as possible.

Midwife said that she will book me another appointment but doesn't think l will need it. God willing.
