@Leok83 your little guy is so cute 🥲😍

@scrumdiddly123 i know i am next. Well you and I really!!!! You might give birth before me :)
How are you managing the GD?

I am feeling ok overall tbh. But
Lots of mood swings. Doing lots of house chores daily. Obv physically huge and started to properly fatten up this week 😐
Still haven't had a BH or any sign of anything!
Only thing i am grateful for is i sleep very well. Despite the SPD and turning in bed which is painful i manage a good sleep every single night 🌙😴

DH and I are just so impatient to see our girl!!!!
These last days are dragging.
I made the birth plan and my MW reviewed it and we are all ready. I am not going for birthing pool after all. Chose dry land and possibly an epidural...

How ready are you @scrumdiddl123 ?

scrumdiddly123 · 19/03/2021 10:48

@SunnySideUp2020 I can’t believe we’ve made it to the top of the list! I’m managing the GD really well thank you- not needing any medication just diet controlled and I’ve lost 3.5lb so that’s a bonus!
I don’t really know if I’m ready?! I think I’m in denial this it’s happening so soon. My labour bag is only half packed still 🙈 I think because there’s some uncertainty about what kind of birth I’ll have that’s holding me back. I have my next growth scan and consultant appt on Monday and will hopefully get given a date for induction or section if the little monkey hasn’t turned! Then it will definitely feel more real!
Glad you’re feeling ok and still managing to sleep well! I’m the same- just painful turning over and needing a couple of toilet trips every night!

SunnySideUp2020 · 20/03/2021 08:55

@Ejb86 i love the name of your girl btw. Mabel Rose is 👌
Shame my DH is so picky 😅

MilsCookie · 20/03/2021 11:33

Wow... that list is incredible, only 3 more to go! (Plus the ladies on the TTC board ...🙏🤞🏻) thank you for doing it @SunnySideUp2020

The twins are doing really well thank you! Frankie is pretty much sleeping through the night now, last night she slept from 7pm - 4:30am, had a bottle and then straight back to sleep till 7am. Georgie (smaller twin) does the same but has an extra bottle around midnight so can't say she's 'sleeping through' yet haha. They had their 16 week immunisations yesterday and poor Frankie has had a bit of a fever and is not herself at all today; very whingey and needing lots of cuddles. Georgie on the other hand seems fine! Their reflux issues are all sorted as well now thankfully, they've been okay now for a couple of months. Think it's a combination of maturity and the formula they're on. Most of the time they're absolutely delightful babies, so happy and smiley and it's incredible to see them changing and developing every day!

Will be thinking of you @SunnySideUp2020 and @scrumdiddly123 over the next few weeks and wishing you both a safe and happy delivery! ❤️🌈

Leok83 · 20/03/2021 16:28

@SunnySideUp2020 @scrumdiddly123 ladies I'm so excited for ye! Right up to the top now 😊 can't believe only 3 left on the list so 🤞 some of the other ladies from the TTC group make it over here soon!

@SunnySideUp2020 I messed up his weight 😄 he was 3.34 KG which is actually 7lb 3!

@Fizzl ya I was the same with feeding mindset and DH was really keen to be able to do some feeds too. I know it's supposed to affect milk supply but if I need to do a formula feed once or twice a night/day long term I just don't see how it can reduce it that much as I'll always be supplementing anyways and I seem to have enough milk from what I can see using the haaka. The public health nurse was out and his weight is perfect..he's almost back at his birth weight already so although we are winging it she said whatever we are doing we're obviously doing it right and keep doing it!! So 🤞 it stays like that!!

BecsterG · 20/03/2021 19:43

Wow I love how many babies have been born in this group!! So amazing to see. 🌈 Can't wait for the other ladies from the TTC thread come over.

@SunnySideUp2020 @scrumdiddly123 not long left for you ladies! So excited for you!

Jude is going to be 6 months old on Thursday. I cannot believe it. He's is such a joy, such a happy chappy and so chilled. He's just started food and so far so good although really did not enjoy banana. 😂 I just want to drink in every moment as they grow up so fast. 💙🥰

Whiffle77 · 21/03/2021 11:05

That list is so incredible!! Just amazing. @SunnySideUp2020 @scrumdiddly123 not long at all for you now! Glad you are both managing to get some sleep, that's brill news - hope time doesn't drag too much for you!!

I think it would affect your supply @Leok83 if you wanted to go full BF and the formula was just temporary - it would take awhile for your supply to catch up. Or if you weren't putting baby to breast often enough to get your supply going, but it sounds like it is all going really well! Great news!

@fizzl I had to exclusively pump for the first few weeks which was really hard, but meant we shared feeds. Once he was heavier I went to BF but still pumped so my husband could do some feeds - we split the night so I went to bed earlier and he fed him pumped milk, then swopped and I would BF other feeds in the night. It helped massively but don't put yourself under too much pumping pressure at the start! It can just be an extra chore! Now his feeds are more regular, he has formula in a bottle if DH feeds him - maybe once a week or so. I have got a freezer stash of breastmilk though ready for when lockdown is over and I am abandoning them both to see the girls haha!

@BecsterG weaning is so exciting, I cannot wait!! Cant believe Jude is there already!

Great to hear the twins are doing so well @MilsCookie and you are getting much more sleep!

My little man is doing well too, growing so fast and starting to laugh! I keep thinking he is in a sleep routine and then it all changes again, but he is pretty good overall Smile I'm still finding things quite hard though, and went to the GP last week for PND. I've referred for some counselling, and given a prescription for anti ds but I'm going to wait to start the counselling before I decide whether to take them. I think spring and seeing people will help a lot too, I've found this past year so hard. Feel a lot better for having spoken up

BecsterG · 21/03/2021 20:18

@Whiffle77 aww I love it when they first start laughing. It's so amazing making your baby laugh and smile. I love it.

Jude is doing well with the food although did not like what I made him tonight! 😂

He's sleeping so well right now. Really hope it continues although last night he cried out on his sleep a lot and I think it was because he didn't get his third nap. So annoying when they're not awake but they wake you. I normally don't hear from him until he does his morning poo at 6:00/6:30! 🤣🤣 💩 cannot wait for his bowls to change their schedule. 🤣🤣

@SunnySideUp2020 all ok this end lovely. How are you feeling? Your the top of the list! Oh my god!! So exciting! 🙌🌈💜

ChampooPapi · 21/03/2021 20:57

Huge congratulations @Leok83 he is utterly beautiful 😍

So so happy everything went well for you @Ejb86 , you are amazing and she is adorable!

So happy for you both 🥰🥰🥰

Fizzl · 23/03/2021 10:53

@Leok83 haha I'm glad to hear the winging it approach is working because at the minute that's the approach I'm going to go for and just hope for the best 😬.

@Whiffle77 glad to hear you've also had some success with mixture of breast, pump and formula! I really hope this works for us as I don't really like the idea of being stuck with just one option as I can see pros and cons to all but I'm also just thinking what will be will be and so long as she is fed all will be well. I also like that you've planned ahead 😂 definitely making a note of that top tip! Already thinking about that first glass of wine in the summer 😆

Good to hear everyone else is doing well too!

Good luck @SunnySideUp2020 and @scrumdiddly123 - I'm sure you'll be meeting your little ones soon! Very surreal I'll be the last lady on the list then for now 😬 this pregnancy seems to be flying. Hopefully nuggetlover will feel ready to join us soon.

I keep thinking I've got about 10 weeks until I'll be 'term' and need to get my act together and sort some stuff out 😂. Anyone else got completely carried away buying loads of cute baby clothes they'll probably grow out of in a few weeks and will be a complete waste of money?! That's currently me...

SunnySideUp2020 · 23/03/2021 13:20

@Fizzl YES me. Guilty. But it's ok it's the first i have an excuse 😅

So had my MW today and no sweeps for me until at least april 1st so 39w5. But ideally she said she would do it only at 40w3.

Just waiting really 😑 the mood swings are a thing.

scrumdiddly123 · 23/03/2021 20:27

Thanks ladies- I can’t believe how close it is now! I had my final growth scan yesterday and baby is estimated 7lb 10oz at 37+3 so they are no longer concerned she’s going to be huge. I have a sweep booked for 38+5 and induction for 39 weeks! So not too long at all now- exciting!
How are you @SunnySideUp2020? Mood swings aside 😬 I’m with you on that front xx
@Fizzl your pregnancy is flying by too! I hope we get some more ladies join us soon 🤞🏻🤞🏻

mlax · 24/03/2021 08:27

Congratulations @Ejb86 !

SunnySideUp2020 · 24/03/2021 08:36

@scrumdiddly123

That's really good news! And you have a date 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 how exciting!!!!!!!!

ChampooPapi · 24/03/2021 08:48

@Whiffle77 your doing amazing and please don't feel on your own in these things, there are so many women who love being a mum but also have some level of depression post natal or otherwise! It's very normal, we are humans and in some ways I believe if you weren't a bit depressed sometimes there's actually something wrong with you! Life is a challenge a lot of the time, a beautiful, exciting charge, but a hard emotional one too. I really would consider the medication, I take sertaline and have for the past six months and it has helped so much ☺️

SunnySideUp2020 · 24/03/2021 09:54

I second @ChampooPapi

Never had PND but depression yes and going to the doc is definitely a good start but if you need sertraline or another AD that suits you might help on the short-medium term to cope. It just really helps when you are exhausted and can't really see clear.
You are definitely not alone in this 💗

Whiffle77 · 24/03/2021 20:31

Thanks lovelies @ChampooPapi @SunnySideUp2020, really appreciate it! It is setraline they recommended. I have a call with the counsellor next week so I will discuss it then. I've been on medication before so I am definitely not averse to them! Just want to make sure its the right decision, I had a better few days but today has been rough. Tomorrow is another new one though! Smile hard to not feel alone with lockdown etc but hopefully with everything easing up it will feel a bit easier.

Whiffle77 · 24/03/2021 20:33

Sorry to hear you have both had to have meds now/in the past though - life can be a hard slog as you say, its far more common than you would think i reckon.

Leok83 · 25/03/2021 14:06

@Whiffle77 aw I'm sorry to hear ur having a rough time at the mo with PND. I'd say definitely take what they're giving and accept all the help. It's so hard at the moment especially with lockdown..I had to have conversations with DH as he was reluctant to have my family calling (his are in another county so can't visit with restrictions but mine are close by) which is all well and good until he goes back to work but I've told him that me being isolated looking after a NB is not great so he's accepted that now. It had coincided with a bit of baby blues for me so I ended up pretty upset having to have that conversation as should be such a happy time and bloody covid puts a damper on that joy. Hope you start to feel better soon.xx

@Fizzl I was so worried I'd end up not being able to use all my NB clothes as they'd be too small but he fits great in them and I think we will definitely get the month out of them. It's amazing how much you fly through the clothes/laundry so don't regret any of the purchases and enjoy the indulgence!! I still have moments looking at him wearing the clothes in awe that he's actually here and wearing them!! Also when ppl get gifts they tend to buy the 0-3 or 3-6 month clothes I've noticed so all the NB clothes are the ones we bought him so very happy we got a good selection!
For the BF we've dropped down to 1 formula bottle middle of night that DH does and I'm doing just BF only rest of the day over the east 3 days which is keeping him full now, I'll do this for another 2-4 weeks until the milk supply has established and then I'll prob start pumping one feed so that we can have some for if we ever get out and about. He tends to cough a little and spit up after BF so part of me wonders if my let down is a bit fast. So I've read that pumping before supply is established can cause overproduction which can make that worse for him so that's why I'm avoiding pumping right now. He had another visit from PHN and he's above his birth weight now so they're still happy with what we're doing😊

@scrumdiddly123 aw that's so exciting you have a date!! Good to hear they're happy with size aswell! So we're on baby watch now for you and @SunnySideUp2020!!😁
