Also @MilsCookie how are your girls? Would be lovely to see a picture, even one from behind if you want to keep their faces obscured, one of my twins is now huge, must be a very high centile, and the other is still fairly small. But they are both thriving and sleeping well, it's just funny having two because you do compare them to each other a quite a bit. My smaller twin would seem completely normal size I think if I didn't have the vast podger to compare her too! Here they are , the first is little Jean and the second is v.m

ChampooPapi · 12/04/2021 09:45

No the first is Violet-May and the second is Jean 🤦

Also that balanced baby bath was for photo purposes only, this is not how we leave her teetering on a window ledge normally!

ChampooPapi · 12/04/2021 09:46

In the photos they actually look a really similar size but there is over 3 pounds difference!

Whiffle77 · 12/04/2021 10:26

Awwww @ChampooPapi they are gorgeous! They do look a very similar size on the pics, how funny that they are growing so differently! They look very content Smile how is your fella coping with such a big girl gang?!

SunnySideUp2020 · 12/04/2021 13:22

Amelia was born this morning 3.5kg of pure love.
Birth was express. Waters broke at midnight when i woke up to pee and immediately got extremely strong contractions.
Coped for an hour and then had to go to hospital as it was too much they were 4min apart lasting a min from the beginning. Hospital is 5min away so thank god for that.
Upon arrival i was already 5cm dilated. Over there within 30min received a sort of epidural where you can still walk about and feel contractions but without the pain. Was amazing but in 2 hours i only got to 6cm so they put me on the drip and in 30min i was at 10cm feet in stirrups and pushing. 8 contractions later she was out (about 20min). 1 stitch. Crowning was a little painful but felt everything and it felt surreal. We then had skin to skin and waited for clamping just looking at her. But then despite the injection had retained placenta. A doctor had to be called and he manually went inside for ages. It was horrendous. After that i went in shock unconscious having some seizures a temperature of 104 and blood pressure dropping. It was utter panick nobody knew what was happening. I was put under heating blankets and given lots of medications and came back to myself but then back into another state for an hour. They did bloods and scans and found i had an extreme reaction to chorioamnionitis (infection). After that i was put on proper drip of medication and monitored and was only moved to the room several hours later. Still can't take care of our baby or walk but i am out of the woods and feeling so grateful because i honestly thought i was dying. My husband was crying and people were so concerned it was very scary.
So there's the story. Amazing quick delivery but nightmare after!
I am being kept for 5 days with husband and baby we have a room for us 🙌

Congratulations @SunnySideUp2020 !! Oh my goodness your birth story sounds so scary, are you doing okay now? You poor thing having to go through that. But now you're a mummy!! Enjoy every second of it and take all the time you need to recover. Sending lots of love to you all! 💗

@ChampooPapi awwww wow look at them!! It's so lovely to see a photo of them. They've grown so much! How funny, there's a 3lb difference between mine too now! I might post a photo now but then ask MN to delete it once you've seen it haha 🙈 that's great they're sleeping well. We're currently going through the 4 month sleep regression which is hell! Did VM and J go through it? So lovely to hear from you! Xx

Beautiful babies all around 🥰🥰🥰

@milscookie your girls are so lovely! Its crazy that they are identical twins yet such different sizes! Easy to tell them apart atleast haha :D

@champooPapi haha I love love clarification of not letting the babyjuat hand out on the window ledge haha! They are both beautiful:)
On the ageing front, I feel the same about my next birthday......turning 30! Which isnt a bad thing but it's just another kick in a teeth that I wont be a mum untill my 30s now

@sunnysideup2020 huge congratulations to you - Amelia is just gorgeous! So glad to hear you are okay after your ordeal! It's crazy how it went so scary so fast:( your poor husband must have been beside himself

Leok83 · 12/04/2021 20:22

Oh wow @SunnySideUp2020 massive congratulations!! She's absolutely gorgeous! Your poor thing though what you went through..it's sounds horrific, so glad you are ok! I hope you start to recover over the next few days, it's so lovely your DH gets to stay with you and you have a room, that's should make it a lot easier on you😊

@ChampooPapi I'm doing really well thanks, Keelan's doing great and growing so quickly! He's generally a really good baby although he's a little dramatic at times😄 he does scream after feeds which always makes me think I'm doing something wrong but guessing that's normal and he'll eventually grow out of it cause he settles well then after. Your little girls are absolutely gorgeous 😍they've gotten so big!

@MilsCookie got to see your little cuties too before they're taken down..absolutely adorable and great about their weights, they're flying it!!

Leok83 · 12/04/2021 20:26

Hey @Annny27 👋 Hope you are doing ok lovely! I'm still checking g back on the TTC group all the time to see how you are getting on. Are you getting tubes checked this month?xx

Annny27 · 12/04/2021 20:29

Hi :D @leok83 yep tubes checked on the 22nd! Hope they are clear and we still have a shot at natural conception!

Glad Keelan is getting on well (bar the post meal time cry haha)

Leok83 · 12/04/2021 21:22

Best of luck with it @Annny27! I'm hoping all will be clear for you 🤞🤞!

Fizzl · 13/04/2021 20:50

Ahh @SunnySideUp2020 congratulations! Amelia is beautiful. Sounds like you had a really rough ordeal though! Hope you're recovering well? And it's good they're keeping an eye on your for a few days although I'm sure you're itching to get home!

@MilsCookie and @ChampooPapi lovely photos of your girls too! I can't believe how much they've grown already! Time is really flying.

MilsCookie · 13/04/2021 21:53

Haha thank you @Leok83 !! Glad to hear Keelan's getting on well! Just a thought, you don't think it could be silent reflux do you? Our girls screamed during and after feeds back when they were about 8 weeks old (that's when it first started) and it turned out to be reflux and also cow's milk protein allergy. Might be worth speaking to your HV if it continues? Fingers crossed it's not that though.

Good luck @Annny27!!! Thinking of you lovely 💗

Thank you @Fizzl!! Hope all is well with you too, not long to go now! 😘 xx

scrumdiddly123 · 14/04/2021 03:48

@SunnySideUp2020 huge congratulations Amelia is beautiful! So sorry you had such a scary time afterwards, I hope you’re recovering ok now and they’re taking good care of you xx

scrumdiddly123 · 14/04/2021 04:00

@MilsCookie @ChampooPapi lovely to see your girls! Can’t believe how big they all are now 😊
@Annny27 good luck for your appt, really hope all is ok xx

ChampooPapi · 14/04/2021 11:06

@SunnySideUp2020 oh my god! congratulations! So sorry I've only just logged on to check, Amelia is such beautiful baby, she is utterly scrumtious. Jesus you had a really horrible ordeal, that must still be playing a on your mind, it sounds so terrifying, you have been so brave. How is your recovery going? Are you alright?! Are you going home tomorrow then? Lots of love to you and your whole family 💜💜🌈🌈

ChampooPapi · 14/04/2021 11:08

Thanks @scrumdiddly123 , how are you getting on? 🥰

And all the luck in the world to you @Annny27, can't wait to see you on here 🙏🌈

ChampooPapi · 14/04/2021 11:08

@MilsCookie I'll respond properly when I'm not juggling a squirming Jean but your girls are brilliant! They are too cute! And like the same as mine lol!

Whiffle77 · 14/04/2021 11:32

Oh my goodness @SunnySideUp2020 congratulations!! What a gorgeous girl! So sorry you have had such an awful ordeal to get here though, how are you feeling? It sounds like your partner was able to stay with you? Really hope you are feeling much better now and adapting to newborn life

@MilsCookie they are gorgeous! I cant believe they are all 20 weeks now, isnt time just flying?! Its terrifying! DS is going through some growth spurt at the minute, feeding loads and sleep is all over the shop, I keep telling myself everything is just a phase! Your Frankie is bigger than mine haha! Bless her.

Hope everyone is ok, and starting to get out a bit. We have braved the pub with DS and I'm booked on for a baby class next week. All daunting after months of the same four walls!

ChampooPapi · 14/04/2021 19:07

@Whiffle77 he's coping well, he knows when he's beaten! I'm going back to work on Tuesday and he's being a house husband for a while untill he re trains, his business folded during the pandemic. So the full transition to 'Moppa' (mum/poppa) is complete as far as I can see 😉
How are you guys doing? Have you got any plans to return to work? I will miss the little ones but I've been a stay at home mum for 4 years so I may skip out the door at first 😆

ChampooPapi · 14/04/2021 19:08

Oh to use the toilet without a child on my lap.....

SunnySideUp2020 · 15/04/2021 06:05

Thank you ladies for all the kind words
Sorry not being able to reply properly
Overwhelmed with all the stuff and learning and omg it is hard! But so so so worth it when i look at my little burrito 🥰🥰🥰
We are all healthy but having some minor issues so still in hospital. Amelia is getting top ups of formula (yes i cried and felt useless) and i having zero bladder control among other things 🥲 if someone could reassure me that adult diaper isnt my future would be good...
But recovering well overall though and amazed at what our bodies can do !!

ChampooPapi · 15/04/2021 06:19

@SunnySideUp2020 the burrito is amazing and very pretty! Love her coy carp snuggle blanket, so chic. I will reassure you! It is really really difficult the first few weeks, and especially the first week post birth can be so unbelievably hard because of the trauma of labour and the interventions, especially the ones you've been through. Cross my heart you WILL NOT be wearing nappies forever, you will heal and get your control and pelvic floor back I promise, it feels so depressing to be in that situation, I know so many woman who have felt the same after having to wear those things, and it feels really frightening doesn't it? But you have only just had Amelia and you will be out of this situation soon , and out of those diapers. Give yourself time and give into it for now , knowing that all will come good 💜💜

Whiffle77 · 15/04/2021 11:09

Awww @SunnySideUp2020 she is so gorgeous! Sorry to hear you are still in hospital but its great they are looking after you. Dont worry about the formula, I know hormones make this hard but you are absolutely not useless! All that matters is that she gets the nutrition she needs, and that you get well soon. Its great to hear you are recovering well, def dont worry about your pelvic floor just yet, you've been through a big trauma and need to recover. You're a super woman!

Ah bless him @ChampooPapi thats great that you have both had chance to be the SAHP! Im sure going back to work will be both hard and great - a warm drink and time to think will be a revelation for you!! Yes i will def go back to work, originally planned to have a full year off but given how hard I am finding it I might go back earlier. Just going to see how the next few months go. Still feel like I am on a rollercoaster, had a good start to the week but he has decided he doesn't like sleeping at night any more so I feel broken today. Just trying to take each day as it comes!
