@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE thank you...

I had a 19weeks private scan last week as we wanted to do a little gender reveal.
We popped a confetti cannon on Sunday, and it's a...... BOY!!
Was so shocked as I was expecting pink confetti to fly out haha. Over the moon though 🥰🥰
Lots of boys coming through on this thread!

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 02/03/2021 08:06

Lots of boys! I'm guessing a lot of our surprises may be girls!

I started pulling some of the baby clothes out of storage yesterday, found quite a bit of 3-6 month stuff but none smaller yet. Also browsed Next, they have some cute bits! Realised while looking at 3-6 stuff how small babies are Grin

Anyone having DC2 who currently has a baby / toddler i would like to pre warn you that once your baby is born DC1 will seem like an actual GIANT!

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 02/03/2021 08:20

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE congratulations!

You’re right loads of boys being announced! Congrats everyone who has found out!!

Anyone else getting shooting pains in their bum cheek? It’s driving me mad- just the right cheek randomly have a pains in it and it really hurts, don’t know if it’s maybe when the baby is laid at a certain angle or something! I don’t have a big bump or anything yet so i wouldn’t put it down to weight gain! Xx

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 02/03/2021 08:22

Does it go down your leg @TiredAlreadyOhDear? Sounds a bit like sciatica

xoxochellexoxo · 02/03/2021 08:36

Oh can i join this thread 😁 Due my first 11th july, currently 21+2 with a little boy 💙

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 02/03/2021 09:55

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE it doesn’t it’s just directly in the bum cheek but it’s driving me mad! I’ll mention it to the midwife I think next time I go! I’m going to try and do some stretches and yoga to ease it. Xx

isadorapolly · 02/03/2021 10:09

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE mine are back next week, I can’t wait tbh! I’ve e hours having them at home but the homeschooling drives me mad and is pretty impossible with so many, I also own a very busy florist and we have been so busy through all the lockdowns, so juggling that, the homeschooling, the running of a big house and the care of 7 children (and two dogs!) has been hard work!

isadorapolly · 02/03/2021 10:10

Sorry that should say I’ve enjoyed having them at home!

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 02/03/2021 10:23

I have (partly) enjoyed having mine at home, partly looking forward to the peace and how tidy my house will be but can not help worry about all the 'bubbles' we are now being exposed to!

How old are yours @isadorapolly

CoffeeAndCaramel · 02/03/2021 12:05

I'm not sure why, I'm having a boy but Says girl on the list 🤣🤣

Anyone having loads of nose bleeds!!?

When did you guys start getting a 'proper' bump - enough that someone could tell without you pointing it out? I'm 19 weeks and my bump is still tiny, I still can do up my skinny jeans (although not super comfortably when I'm sitting down!) and am looking forward to having a proper bump. Can't wait to show it off when everything opens up again in May/June time! We're planning a pre-baby big garden party in late June, can't wait to see everyone again!

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 02/03/2021 12:39

Woops @CoffeeAndCaramel sorry about that Blush will edit it after!

Welcome @19Sarah85! First week in July is looking pretty busy!

@notalwaysalondoner i'm 22 weeks with a proper bump, i can't even look at my skinny jeans! But this is my sixth so my stomach is fucked anyway!

CoffeeAndCaramel · 02/03/2021 13:53

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE no worries haha! Bless you with the pressure of the list lol

@notalwaysalondoner Is it your first?? I am 20 weeks and have a massive bump already ( not exaggerating, people noticed weeks ago) but this is my third xx

Luckyelephant1 · 02/03/2021 14:16

@notalwaysalondoner I'm 21 weeks (FTM) and close friends and family would able to tell I have a bump (if I could see them) but a regular person on the street probably wouldn't be able to. I still feel like I look like I've gained weight rather than pregnant as my bump isn't very high rounded yet. Can just about fit into my skinny jeans using the hairband trick for comfort!

I really want to start shopping but no idea where to even start tbh, starting to feel a bit overwhelmed Confused do I try to get big bits out the way first or start getting little bits here and there? I know I won't buy pram or car seat until I can see them in person when shops open.

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 02/03/2021 15:08

@Luckyelephant1 I’m the exact same not a clear bump to strangers.

I’m think I’m going to start buying bigger things once I have done the baby’s bedroom which I hoping to start in April- then at least I can put them away properly.

Hoping April I’ll be able to decide on a pram too :)

pinkgin8 · 02/03/2021 15:32

@Luckyelephant1
I've bought his Moses basket, and some clothes. A ewan sheep and some more clothes again today online , things like prams etc I will get further along!

mariebaby3 · 02/03/2021 15:34

Can I join please? Due 19th July, and have my scan on Friday! This week is going soooo slow waiting. Already have a boy and a girl and so can't wait to find out this time around and start shopping!

PinkGiraffe1 · 02/03/2021 16:22

Thank you @THATbasicSNOWFLAKE

I'm 20 weeks tomorrow and it looks like I have a football up my dress - I feel huge! Which I'm glad I now know is normal with 2nd pregnancies. Scan is next week and hoping to find out the sex.

Can I ask a slightly off topic question? Has anyone here had the covid vaccine yet? I wonder what will happen when the 30-39 age group (my group) is due to the vaccine and whether I'll be able to have it? Is it my choice or not? I'm worried about catching covid via my DD (age 4) who goes back to school on Monday. But then I'm also worried about the lack of testing as to whether it's safe and I'm better waiting til after baby is born (and just hope there aren't any side effects).

Mar00 · 02/03/2021 17:45

Hello all, I am due July 19th - is there a way to connect to others in the same area (I am in NE London) who are expecting around the same time?

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 02/03/2021 18:49

@PinkGiraffe1 I was told that they won’t vaccinate pregnant women against COVID so we might need to wait until after we’ve had our babies.....but things change all the time so they might have changed their minds in a month or two!!

azul3 · 02/03/2021 18:53

Oh sry I meant after the birth - hopefully by then we'll be able to meet up, even if socially distanced.

FemaleLady · 02/03/2021 19:16

@TiredAlreadyOhDear i had the same recently, on my left but cheek,, hate it,,, the pain when yu try walking,,, ai ai.. mine went away after 2 days, i was told i might have pulled a muscle on my butt..

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE you forgot me.. i am having a baby girl.

Blossom428 · 02/03/2021 20:56

@TiredAlreadyOhDear I've had this sort of pain but it's been right in my coccyx- it's literally when I move it feels like an electric shock- awful. I rang the midwife and they said it was jsut because of the hormones released are relaxing our pelvic area and causing bones and things to move around. Said to try a birthing ball- so I've just ordered one. And she also said if it continues they can refer to physio. But may look online for some exercises too.

Since finding out it's a boy I've saved soo many cute clothes on H&M, Zara and next. I just try to resist buying too much haha 🙈🙈

Devonfirsttimemum93 · 04/03/2021 11:22

Found out today that we’re having a boy! So excited, was amazing to see him again.
