Hi,

I was part of another thread and for some reason it got closed. I found it so helpful to be able to talk to other pregnant women, so I thought I would start a new thread where anyone pregnant is welcome!

I'm currently 10wks & my 12 wk scan is on the 22nd. I'm both excited & scared as having had a mc last year I'm worried everything will be ok.

How are you getting on with your pregnancy? Have you, like me, suffered badly with feeling/being sick?!

That's great @2021mumma! Really pleased for you with your results. I can't wait to find out if we're having a girl or a boy! Congratulations 😊

2021mumma · 23/02/2021 19:22

@AdventuresAwait thanks so much! How are you doing?

AdventuresAwait · 23/02/2021 20:38

I'm ok thank you @2021mumma. I'll be 12 weeks on Friday. Had a 10 week scan and waiting for my 12 week scan which is on Monday. In this waiting time, sometimes I don't feel pregnant at all! Keep looking back at my scan pictures. Praying all will be well at my scan on Monday. I'm looking forward to feeling the baby move, though I know it won't be for a while. I'm sleeping better but still have lower back pain. How are you doing? X

2021mumma · 23/02/2021 20:50

@AdventuresAwait aw that’s great! I’m sure all will be well but sending you good luck wishes. I’m 12 weeks today, but don’t have my hospital scan till next week Wednesday. I’m really looking forward to seeing the baby again and how much they’ve grown, I feel after having the harmony test hopefully I can go into this scan a bit more relaxed. When I had the scan for the harmony at 11 weeks it was moving around like a crazy thing- a sign of things to come! Like his brother! Can you see if you can find an online pregnancy yoga or Pilates course? I’m defo going to find one my hips got very sore last time would be good to build some strength before get bigger! I’m still struggling with sickness it passed last time at 16 weeks so hopefully only another 4 weeks to go 🤞🏼 Let us know how you get on at scan x

AdventuresAwait · 23/02/2021 21:13

Thanks @2021mumma- will do!
How lovely to see your little one moving around Smile. It's amazing isn't it?
I have nausea sometimes but no sickness, but my boobs are still very tender. Trying to walk every day but my back is sore so not finding it easy. Good idea about looking for yoga or pilates - thanks!

2021mumma · 23/02/2021 21:19

It’s so amazing! That’s good you are getting your steps in I’ve been so lazy since I found out. I just looked at my local yoga hall they are doing online pregnancy classes from 12 weeks so might sign up! X

AdventuresAwait · 24/02/2021 07:34

I was trying to @2021mumma as I'm conscious of my weight but had to stop. I tried to start again this week but my back is too sore afterwards. I will look up some exercises like you said x

AdventuresAwait · 24/02/2021 07:49

Is anyone else having lower back pain and have you found anything that helps?

How's everyone doing? X

Babynum1 · 24/02/2021 14:11

Hi ladies, can I join please?
I’m 10 weeks today with my first baby we have our 12 week scan in the 12th of March it seems so far away!
I’ve not “felt” pregnant the last 2 weeks, no nausea, no sore boobs and just generally feeling pretty normal.. so of course I’ve worried myself sick and we are now having an early scan tomorrow. Praying all is well x

GWhiteley · 24/02/2021 16:07

@AdventuresAwait no back pain so far, but I have scoliosis so it's bound to read it's head at some point. I have found I've had quite a few headaches recently, but I think that's the weather.

@Babynum1 welcome, of course you can join! I had my 12 wk scan on Monday & it turns out I'm further along than I thought & am 12+5. I know what you mean about not feeling pregnant sometimes, though I've had awful nausea so it's only been recently I've had times when I've felt ok. Don't blame you for getting a scan to reassure yourself, I'm sure everything will be fine & ive got fingers crossed for you. Let us know how you get on

@GWhiteley, I had a few days of headaches too but thankfully they've cleared now.

@Babynum1, welcome and congratulations! I had an early scan too as it was so long to wait to 12 weeks. Hope all goes well tomorrow- exciting x

Babynum1 · 24/02/2021 17:54

@GWhiteley congratulations and I’m glad your scan went well! Pregnancy so far just seems to be a minefield of worry and panic! I found out the day after I missed my period so it’s really dragged for me 😬 I had nausea from 5 weeks without being sick and then 6-7 weeks it really cranked up and I threw up a handful of times but since 8.5 weeks nothing! It’s not until 4pm tomorrow afternoon I will update then!

@AdventuresAwait thank you! I think we may have been on another thread together which has been closed now! Was your early scan internal? I’m hoping now I’m 10 weeks it will be external but would be happy either way x

AdventuresAwait · 24/02/2021 19:57

@Babynum1, I had two early scans. One at 8 weeks and one at 10 weeks. Both abdominal so no, I didn't have an internal for either. They said I could if I wanted to at the 10 week scan but I heard the heartbeat and could see the baby moving their arms and legs so I was more than happy with that Smile.

Babynum1 · 25/02/2021 10:18

@AdventuresAwait that’s good then gives me a little bit of peace of mind!

I think today is going to be a long old day of waiting and trying to distract myself..
hope everyone has a good day today! X

Babynum1 · 25/02/2021 21:48

Scan went amazing. Baby measured at 10+4 which is slightly more than what we had originally thought giving us a new EDD of 19/09/21 😄 there was one very wriggly baby in there and we are over the moon x

AdventuresAwait · 26/02/2021 07:32

@Babynum1, yay! That's great to hear! So pleased for you. How lovely x

GWhiteley · 26/02/2021 15:15

@Babynum1 so glad your scan went well, always a relief! Min was wriggly as well when I went on Monday & kind of makes it more real 🙈

RadDarwazeh · 26/02/2021 16:07

Girls I am excited for my scan now yay! I also booked a private one for reassurance too which is two weeks on Sunday. Also my DH can't come to the NHS one as they aren't allowing it yet :(

AdventuresAwait · 26/02/2021 17:27

@RadDarwazeh, exciting! My husband can't come to the NHS scan either. I would really love him to be there. It's a shame isn't it?

Babynum1 · 26/02/2021 17:43

@AdventuresAwait @GWhiteley thank you it was a huge relief! I feel like I can finally start to enjoy the pregnancy now 🥰

Such a shame your partners aren’t allowed to your NHS scans! It must be a regional thing as mine are allowing it subject to a negative Lateral flow test ( which in my opinion isn’t worth the plastic it’s made out of) seems daft really! X

GWhiteley · 01/03/2021 15:36

How is everyone doing? I've noticed a marked improvement on my nausea over the last 10 days, which is good!
Finally started telling family & it's definitely made it more real ☺️

OP posts:
AdventuresAwait · 01/03/2021 17:48

Hi @GWhiteley, me too! 12+4 today and have felt much better over the last few days. Still having backache but less tired and less nauseous.
Had my 12 week scan today so also told more people Smile.

GWhiteley · 02/03/2021 07:54

@AdventuresAwait I think the scan definitely made it more real for me! I'm a week ahead of you pretty much at 13+4 today.
We hadn't told anyone except my mum before the scan & we only told her cause I had a scare at 7 wks, so it's been weird calling people to let them know 😂

GWhiteley · 05/04/2021 09:25

Hi All,
Drama with friends has stopped me posting on here for a while, but wondered how everyone is doing now we're a bit further down? Is anyone else struggling not to sleep on their back?!
