It’s a little early but thought it would be nice to have a thread for those of us due babies in October.

I’m due DC2 on the 9th (according to online calculator) and only found out yesterday.

Anyone want to join?!

Ahh interesting! That could do yes. But I think that’s definitely a question for the midwives. Please keep in touch after your first appointment! I’ll be intrigued to know how it all goes :)

birdbybird · 03/02/2021 17:51

I will do @Nineteen88 . And you too!

Moonstone12 · 03/02/2021 19:34
@birdbybird oh wow interesting! You are literally in the exact situation as myself as I did too! I’m actually a Nurse (lol!!) but still feel like I want to ask everyone so many questions! But I sneakily grabbed the midwifes at work today and asked. They said obviously you can never rule out β€˜you know what’ BUT it’s fresh blood they are more concerned with. And being a nurse this makes sense to me. So when doing smears sometimes I still see old brown mucus blood from previous period. So I’m wondering- because a chemical pregnancy can cause heavier bleeding than normal- with all the changes happening now- is discharge bringing with it old blood? The midwifes agreed with my thought process and said this absolutely could be the case.

So that helped me! I hope it helps you too. But they did say still have to monitor and go to an early pregnancy unit if gets worse etc xx
This is really helpful thank you. I started spotting brown blood today and have been worried sick. Especially with my concerns over lack of line progression on frer tests.

Such a stressful day today :(

Hi everyone, I've been loitering and thinking of joining in (seems like very chatty thread!) but barely feel pregnant, only 3+6 but had 3 BFPs this week so think it might be time to stop lurking. Can't believe some of you ladies are so far ahead you're on scans already!

Great to hear everyone's stories though, not ready to tell anyone irl and the waiting is so hard!

babybumpfor2021 · 03/02/2021 21:10

3+5weeks, got this tonight! Congratulations everyone!

Congratulations @babybumpfor2021! It feels like October is a busy baby month. How are you feeling?

Aozora13 · 03/02/2021 21:38

@Peachesavent I think it varies between trusts but in my area you self-refer direct to the midwife service. I got a call to confirm my booking appt and told I’d get a scan letter through the post. But sounds perfectly possible your doc referred you and you’ll get a letter. I find this early bit is all a bit weird with lots of waiting and wondering if I’m actually pregnant...

Bas27 · 03/02/2021 22:39

Hi everyone - I hope it's ok if I join! It's very early days for me at 4wks and estimated dd of 14/10/21 This would be 2nd baby. My first is almost 2.
For those worried about cramps - I had them so badly with my son the drs. Thought the pregnancy was ectopic. It as very very painful and he is a healthy little boy. I'm trying to remember this now I'm getting them again (although not as badly!)

Can baby brain set in this early? I think it's certainly a symptom I'm having- far more dopey than usual.

I am very interested in the Facebook group, if someone could please add me! :)

DappledOliveGroves · 03/02/2021 22:46

@Moonstone12 I'm also worrying away. Spotted last weekend then had a tiny blob of brown CM when I wiped today which has given me an evening filled with anxiety and googling. Praying and keeping everything crossed for things to go well.

Moonstone12 · 03/02/2021 22:56

@DappledOliveGroves keeping everything crossed for you xxx

I think my journey is over this time. The bleeding has got heavier and it's like a normal period now. I guess this is a chemical pregnancy?

So sorry Sad. Sending hugs.

PumpkinEverything · 03/02/2021 23:59

I believe the first October FB group is full now. Anyone up for making another one for those that missed out? 😊

SRyellow · 04/02/2021 00:56

Hi, I woke up tonight with stomach ache (almost like needing the toilet pain), feeling sick & hot. Has anyone had this? It’s easing off now but worrying me!

babybumpfor2021 · 04/02/2021 03:24

Thanks @sandsandwiches we have all been busy 🀣 symptoms wise ok cramping abit on and off, and I have insomnia already (used to get insomnia really bad, only the last 2yrs I've managed to get a good night sleep). I'm nervous, excited, shocked can't believe it!

How about you? Any symptoms?

Dreamingoutloud7 · 04/02/2021 06:38

Congratulations to all the new ones joining! It’s nice to have a few more people, we haven’t told anyone irl yet so I need an outlet!

@Moonstone12 so so sorry

@SRyellow I’ve been getting that a bit, although tmi, but my toilet habits have been all over the place and major gassy pains πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

LunaDreams · 04/02/2021 07:06

@Moonstone12 I'm so very sorry to hear this. Have you been in touch with the EPU?

Sending big hugs xx

SRyellow · 04/02/2021 07:16

@Dreamingoutloud7 maybe that’s it! I woke up in the morning feeling really nauseous but ended up with an upset stomach instead! Currently trying to stomach some biscuits.

@Moonstone12 sorry to read this, sending love xx

Hey.

Yeah I spoke to the midwife yesterday. They said to stay at home unless I have any severe pain or shoulder tip pain (?) Or if the blood loss is so much I feel compromised. She said if it is the worst case it's better to be home than in hospital. A scan wouldn't show anything as I'm not quite 5 weeks yet. So I'm going to wait for the bleeding to stop and test again. But I'm coming to terms with it being the end this time.

Thanks all for all the support. I may hang around this group for a little longer to see how you all get on :) if that's ok. X

crabette · 04/02/2021 07:29

Hi all, would it be ok to join this group?! I'm due mid-October - various apps / sites are telling me 10th-15th! I'm 4(+4) today.

This is my first pregnancy so no idea what to expect! And I loved the conception thread I was on so looking for similar.

@PumpkinEverything I'd love to be involved in a FB group - can people see you're a member though? We obviously haven't told people yet, I know most here will be the same! We could do a FB Messenger chat or something?

crabette · 04/02/2021 07:30

@Moonstone12 I'm so so sorry πŸ’” xxxxx

PumpkinEverything · 04/02/2021 08:36

We’re quite similar @crabette I’m 4+3 and two apps have me at either 10 or 11th October!

No a FB group shouldn’t do! They can be set up as secret and named as something that no one would know. I was in one before and am in one currently and they’ve been fine. Just not sure how to go about setting one up if anyone else is able to?

crabette · 04/02/2021 08:42

@PumpkinEverything Awww nice to be in a similar boat!! I'll have a look on Facebook and see what I can do lol x

summerhillgang · 04/02/2021 08:44

@Moonstone12 sending you love, so sorry 😞

PumpkinEverything · 04/02/2021 08:50

So sorry this is happening to you @Moonstone12 and I’m sending you lots of love ❀️ I think the shoulder tip pain is a sign of an ectopic pregnancy so they would need to see you as surgery could be required if that’s what it was.

DappledOliveGroves · 04/02/2021 09:00

I'm so confused - if anyone can help that'd be great! Despite this being my third pregnancy I seek to have a mental block in calculating how far along I am.

LMP was 9 January. I have short cycles of around 24 days. Each of the pregnancy due date calculators is giving me the same due date (12 October) but different information as to how many weeks' pregnant I am.

NHS is saying 4 weeks. What to Expect is saying 4 weeks and 2 days. Other sites are saying 3 weeks and 5 days. If I go by just the date of my LMP then I'd assume I'm 4 weeks this Saturday. But then why are the other sites giving me different information Confused.

Any help would be much appreciated!
