It’s a little early but thought it would be nice to have a thread for those of us due babies in October.

I’m due DC2 on the 9th (according to online calculator) and only found out yesterday.

Anyone want to join?!

Seeing the physio, not same hydro πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

angc30 · 02/02/2021 18:45

Hey all! Do you mind if I join?

So glad to meet a group expecting around the same time

I'm 28 and this is my first I'm due 6/10. I've had three early miscarriages in 2020 but every day I'm trying to get more confident and less worried. Still taking a test every morning though like a crazy woman Confused lol

Anyone else booking an early scan? I'm such a panicker so I'm booking as soon as 6 weeks happens

niagracey · 02/02/2021 19:13

Hi everyone first time poster and found out at the weekend I'm due on the 10th October already seen some have the same date! It's so nice knowing people are at exactly the same stage! 😍 we have a little boy who's two and I don't think it's really sank in yet! Just got my worry head on at the minute

seaswim33 · 02/02/2021 19:19

@summerhillgang Oh great! my date is just from my app so will see what happens at the dating scan :)

Tilly0756 · 02/02/2021 19:32

@angc30 I'm such a worrier too!! I want to book an early scan but last time I had an MMC the first early scan I went to heartbeat was strong and there but week after it was gone, it's scary how quickly it can go.... I'm a bit scarred from that so now not sure if I want scan or not πŸ™

Spillanelle · 02/02/2021 20:06

Really sorry to hear that @Tilly0756, that must have been so tough.

Welcome to @niagracey and @angc30 and anyone else whose recently joined in. So exciting to see lots of new people every day!

@angc30 I’m tempted to book an early scan, is it from 6 weeks they do it? Might try to wait for 8 weeks then it won’t be too long until the 12 week scan.

summerhillgang · 02/02/2021 20:41

Anybody thinking of home birth / independent mid wife route? Xx

I had the same - strong heartbeat at 8 weeks and nothing at 10 week scan. Just want to get to 12 weeks πŸ™πŸ€ž

angc30 · 02/02/2021 20:46

@Tilly0756 I'm so sorry that happened. I can't imagine what that would feel like. That's a good point and I definitely need to keep that in mind

@Spillanelle there's one here that does from 6 but I'm still working from the office so I'd have to do the Saturday. It would make me 6+4. I think we're going to book a couple before the 12 week. I suffer with anxiety a bit so we've talked it through and decided it may be better to pay out a bit if it means I can settle a bit. My GP has spoken to me about a referral for an early scan as well due to the anxiety and miscarriages

Just giving all you girls all my life story haha

@DappledOliveGroves I love your just trying be zen and accept what happens. I'm going to keep that one in mind! x

PumpkinEverything · 02/02/2021 20:54

Hi @angc30 😊 I remember you from the TTC after MC group, I got my BFP yesterday! Which genuinely feels like it was about 5 years ago.
I didn’t test this morning as I’m trying to hold off until tomorrow, but I’m sitting here now thinking maybe I should as I’m like, what if I’ve imagined the whole thing!?
I’m going to book a scan for just after 6 weeks I think (only 4+1 so that’s a lifetime away), and then EPU said I could have an early scan with them around the time of my MMC to help me get through to the 12 week one, so that should be around 8/9 weeks hopefully. I too had a heartbeat at 6 weeks and then it was gone in two weeks.

Tilly0756 · 02/02/2021 21:24

@PumpkinEverything I'm so sorry!! How are you feeling now about the scans? It's actually quite calming to know others are in the same position so maybe I will go for a 6 week scan..... I'm so scared too it's all in my head I take a test every other day now πŸ™ˆ

Stupid question probably but if my calculator says 4w +4 can I book a scan in for when it will be 6w? Even though I know that's not 6 weeks since conception....? Would I be able to see anything ?

Tilly0756 · 02/02/2021 21:25

@DappledOliveGroves yes let's just get through to that 12 week point! Feels like the longest wait ever though

angc30 · 02/02/2021 21:27

@PumpkinEverything So sorry that you had to go through that as well. Breaks my heart thinking about seeing a heartbeat and then not. All of you are such strong women

I remember your name too, I'm so delighted for you! I took a photo of my positive so I could look at it through the day when I had a wobble. But I can't say anything about over testing because I've taken a test every morning for a week. Trying to wean myself off testing

PumpkinEverything · 02/02/2021 21:29

@Tilly0756 it’s awful that there’s so many women in the same position, but also quite comforting to know we’re sharing the same thoughts!
I think I’m going to take a test in the morning πŸ™ˆ just to check. I’m telling myself I’ll book a scan for just after 6 weeks, but I likely won’t actually book it until a few days before as I feel like it’s too early (even tho it’s only 2 weeks πŸ˜‚) I remember last time I was able to check their calendar and see easily when they had free appointments so hoping they have some good availability this time round.

Just you go by what your app says 😊 so book for two weeks from now when you would be 6+4. It’s supposed to be that you can see a heartbeat from around 6 weeks which is why I’m thinking then. When I went I thought I was 7 weeks, but measured at only 6+2, but I was able to see a heartbeat flickering away 😊 I had irregular cycles so my dates were always hard to work out. My last AF for then would have had me at 9 weeks at that appointment, but I knew when I ovulated roughly

PumpkinEverything · 02/02/2021 21:32

I honestly felt even sadder for my husband at the time @angc30 I had always had this horrible anxious feeling something would go wrong, so I’d mentally prepared myself for it. He was really positive however the whole time and I think he was really shocked, especially as he’d been with me and seen the heartbeat too πŸ˜”
I do the same thing too! I keep going back to look at my photo to reassure myself. The only reason I haven’t went upstairs and took a test right now is because I know I’ll freak out if it’s lighter in colour compared to yesterday since it’s the evening πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Ninetyfive21 · 02/02/2021 21:33

I just found out this evening, an online calculator puts me at 13th october!

icecreamsundaesprinkles · 03/02/2021 02:24

Congrats to all the new posters! I cannot shake off feeling anxious I dont really feel any symptoms at the minute except for tender breasts which was always the case tbh its really worrying me.

Tilly0756 · 03/02/2021 06:50

@icecreamsundaesprinkles morning! I woke up feeling the same. I guess symptoms come and go and some don't feel any at all during pregnancy. It's still super early and I read that morning sickness doesn't often kick in until w6-12 for example. Worrying and anxiety can be bad for both you and the baby so do try to relax, give yourself a break (pregnancy is super stressful!) and take some time to nap, read a book or watch some crap telly to try to get your mind off it.

brokenheart013 · 03/02/2021 07:04

Morning ladies, hope you all had a good nights sleep. Congratulations to the new posters 🌸.heartburn gone,no symptoms here too.time feels like it's at a stand still and l just want to reach 6weeks, then 8 then 10 etc .l can't help but google week by week baby growth lol

LunaDreams · 03/02/2021 07:49

@brokenheart013 I have downloaded a great app called Ovia pregnancy that tells you what new development baby is going through every few days and also what size it is...mine is currently a small peppercorn :). Also some helpful articles (although be warned it is American so lots of use of the word 'mom'!

summerhillgang · 03/02/2021 08:41

Using something similar called Pregnancy+, currently the size of a lady bird or grain of rice πŸ’•

Nineteen88 · 03/02/2021 08:50

Oh my goodness so happy I found this thread!!! I’m due October the 5th (according to online calculator) my fiancΓ© is away with work at the mo so doesn’t even know!!! I’m bursting to tell him but want todo it face to face. I have a go appointment booked for the 9th- so will find out the process from there.

Omg I’ve got SO many questiiiiiions!!!!! I also haven’t told my mum because I know my fiancΓ© would love to be there too. But I don’t know if I’ll be able to wait because I NEED HELP πŸ˜‚ seriously so many questions already.

What symptoms has everyone had? And how strong are peoples positive lines? Mines still not super strong. But taken 4 tests so far and all positive. Xx

Nineteen88 · 03/02/2021 10:03

Also- is anyone experiencing any form of bleeding? Mines not really spotting or fresh blood- it’s more like a pink/ brown discharge after I wee??

Emmalouise11 · 03/02/2021 10:20

@Nineteen88 I’ve been having some brown discharge for a while and I went to my epu and on the scan they said that they couldn’t see anything so could be implantation bleeding

Blessedbutstressed96 · 03/02/2021 10:22

Well ladies after all that worrying and stress since I found out because of the cramps etc I’ve been having. Just returned from my early scan and have a healthy little bean with a heartbeat
