It’s a little early but thought it would be nice to have a thread for those of us due babies in October.

I’m due DC2 on the 9th (according to online calculator) and only found out yesterday.

Anyone want to join?!

@Leonberger thanks for your reply. Hope all is well with you x

icecreamsundaesprinkles · 12/02/2021 06:18

@DappledOliveGroves fingers crossed for you, I'm very anxious about it now 😞

imisscoffee · 12/02/2021 08:55

Hi all, please can I tentatively join? I'm due 18th Oct. Hope all is well @icecreamsundaesprinkles and @DappledOliveGroves x

crabette · 12/02/2021 11:06

@Peachesavent Yes, definitely still PM me your facebook email address, and same goes for anyone else who wants to join our (very private and very hidden!) facebook group.

I think I'm the same as you in terms of telling people! I've told my immediate family and my two besties already. It's a totally personal decision, but I'm so close to them it just felt impossible keeping that secret for two months! And I was trying to figure out why, when if - god forbid - the worst happened, I'd tell them then anyway. So not really sparing them anything πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ It's really nice to have support and not feel like you're doing it alone just now - I know I have OH! But nice to have some girl talk about it too. Especially in lockdown!

Ellyr08 · 12/02/2021 11:07

Hi all. Congratulations to everyone Smile I'm due 18/10 with first baby. Feeing super anxious as I had a MC at 6 weeks around Christmas time. Hoping the next few weeks pass by quickly and safely! Would be great to chat and share the journey.

crabette · 12/02/2021 11:07

@DappledOliveGroves and @icecreamsundaesprinkles - sending you both lots of love. I think spotting can be normal, but totally get why you're anxious. Hoping everything is ok for you both!!

DappledOliveGroves · 12/02/2021 11:22

Thanks @crabette and @imisscoffee

Just so anxious. Other than sore breasts and tiredness I don't have many symptoms. My first pregnancy (admittedly 20 years ago) was so full on. Vomiting daily for 22 weeks, I had a bump by seven weeks. I did, however, weigh only about seven and a half stone in those days, whereas now I'm a good three stone heavier. No idea if that makes a difference and pregnancy hormones have a greater effect if there's less of you?!

I just can't deal with another miscarriage.

Good Morning!!
We found out on Tuesday 9th Feb, with a BFP on two tests and then a clear blue saying 3+ weeks! Its our first, was kind of planned due to my implant being removed on the 10th December and then this happens!! (feeling grateful and very blessed as to me we thought we were going to take over a year!!)
Im presuming I will be October, but until I have an appointment I am doing a guessing game, as haven't had a period since implant coming out!! Can I ask how long from finding out do you normally reach out and speak to someone to start planning and finding out the exact due date as im itching!! Many Thanks guys, looking forward to speaking with you all! Much Love & Good luck everyone !! XxX

icecreamsundaesprinkles · 12/02/2021 12:09

Hi @HarrietFlorence

This happened to me and they have had to go off the date my implant was removed 15th of dec as last period I have already spoke to midwife and had my booking appointment.

HarrietFlorence · 12/02/2021 12:13

Ahh so we are in same boat, did they suggest an early scan to see how far you were, or just presuming on that date, as we have moved I have just called up my new surgery to have new patient forms and they are sending them to me and I haven't even received them yet, so im thinking im wasting about 2 weeks for that to get sorted! Do you suggest to just ring up my maternity unit and get an appointment rather than through gp since im on fence at the moment with awaiting paperwork lol!? xx

HarrietFlorence · 12/02/2021 12:14

@icecreamsundaesprinkles < sorry forgot to add your name to the message above!! ^^ xx

icecreamsundaesprinkles · 12/02/2021 12:19

@HarrietFlorence personally I called the gp who has a midwife there who I saw in the practice. I know the gp said they don't do anything until 8 weeks so maybe try there first. They did say they needed me to get an early daying scan however the appointment is not till 3rd March.

HarrietFlorence · 12/02/2021 12:28

@icecreamsundaesprinkles
Thank you , yes my closest friend said you don't seem to do a lot until you are around 10-12weeks as its way too early, which I guess as its my first my thoughts are like get planning, want to know a date and get sorted!!!!! probably no harm then in awaiting my gp to switch over then give them a call!! many thanks! x

Lostatsea10 · 12/02/2021 12:28

Hi all, hope you don’t mind me joining, I found out on Weds. I can’t remember the exact date of last period so I estimate tree around 09/10. This will be DC2- DS is 3- will be 3.9 when due. Have done my self referral for midwife and got my first appointment 04/03. Hope everyone is well

Aozora13 · 12/02/2021 12:40

@Leonberger I felt mostly just premenstrual at 5 weeks. Morning sickness kicked in at 6 weeks and symptoms now in full swing at 7! But everyone and every pregnancy is different. I was only sick once w DC1, puked most days from week 8-14 with DC2 and have been sick twice already this time around. Lovely.

@Peachesavent I told my parents and my closest friends whenever I next saw them (mainly as I wanted sympathy from my mum and couldn’t be arsed to lie about not drinking!). That was about 8-9 weeks both times. This time as we’re not seeing people I think I’ll wait til after the 12 week scan. But it’s such a personal thing there’s no right or wrong!

I’m currently feeling sick as a dog and testing my DH who is trying to negotiate the weekly shop around my whims and aversions...

Aozora13 · 12/02/2021 12:42

Oops just missed a whole page! Congratulations to all the new joiners 😊

crabette · 12/02/2021 12:53

@DappledOliveGroves If it makes you feel any better I'm 5+5 and don't really have any symptoms apart from sore breasts and tiredness! Think every pregnancy is different

Leonberger · 12/02/2021 12:57

@Aozora13 that makes me feel better. I felt a bit Ergh this morning but I’m fine now.

I’m only 5+2 so counting down the days until 6 weeks and then I’m going to try and do week by week until I hit 12. The stress of thinking I have to wait another 7 weeks to find out if I actually have a baby in there is too much Blush

AlexLeah · 12/02/2021 19:14

Hi everyone!

Congrats all. Got my BFP a few days ago and due October 21st. Feeling a little nervous as I have a subseptate uterus and this would be my first baby but everything crossed for a positive outcome!

Anyone else having to fight the urge to POAS every day and Google every single symptom or lack of symptom? 😬

frols · 12/02/2021 21:52

Hey, i got my bfp on 6th Feb, online calculator says im due 17th October with 1dc. So excited but nervous, i think i'm going to book an early private scan to put my mind at ease. Havent contacted doctor yet but will do that next week Smile

icecreamsundaesprinkles · 13/02/2021 15:03

Hi could anyone put their best guess on how far along I am?

Implant removed 22nd of December
Unprotected sex 9th 13th 14th 16th and 17th of jan and positive test on the 26th however quite faint then a clear blue digital on the 1st of feb 2-3 week.

So tricky due to never having a period since implant

Ze123 · 13/02/2021 15:44

Hi ladies!

I found out last week, I’m due middle of October! Wishing you all the best! Has anyone had any symptoms? X

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 13/02/2021 16:23

Hi everyone, can I join please? I’m about 5 weeks today but I’m only just starting to let myself believe it might be real. This is #3 for us but after a chemical and a miscarriage last year I didn’t think this was going to happen for us.

XNicoleX · 13/02/2021 18:42

Hi all! I am at 6+6 today. I felt mild cramping today. My first basic symptom was sore boobs. I checked pregnancy on 7 feb. Due is 9 oct according to some pregnancy calculators. I haven’t tell anybody yet not even my doctor yet lol. But i told my partner on the same day.
On some other days since starting of February I felt weird taste in my mouth, hot flashes, little cramping. So far i tested just once, i am thinking to test again to kill some time and to maintain my hopes. Sending baby dust to all the mum!!!

frols · 13/02/2021 19:43

Well update on my first post yesterday.. cramps today and bleeding. Passed what looks like tissue so think I'm having mc sadly. First ever time being pregnant so I was really excited and looking forward to october. Have been wanting this for a long time and everyone I know seems to be having babies so i think the next month or so till we can ttc again will be tough.
