I am I've just got a grazed knee from where my leg went under me and a grazed and bloody elbow, I feel a bit achy at the bottom of my stomach but I don't know whether it's in my head or not I just hope I haven't hurt her

Starfish762 · 30/01/2021 16:15

@ew1990 oh gosh how scary! Sounds like she’s okay if she’s been moving, but def push for monitoring just for extra peace of mind xx

ew1990 · 30/01/2021 20:44

I've read all the messages but can't for the life of me remember who said what,

@jennym I didn't realise you lost a twin so late on, so sorry.

Hope everyone else is OK.

They monitored baby for a while and were happy with it so set my mind at ease. Had to wait like 3 hours for the anti d injection to come from pharmacy, home now and being very careful coming down the stairs!

On the plus side I got to hear the heartbest for the very first time this pregnancy!

Oh whoever posted about the Ds and the pencil grip they do the dough disco with the kids at DDs nursery, they said its really good for strenghting their hand muscles and DD loves it.

DanceM1 · 30/01/2021 20:48

@bubblybon20 I know exactly what you mean about rolling of the limbs across your stomach! So funny isnt it!

@ew1990 bless you! Im so glad all is OK! That must have given you a right fright!

JennyMY · 31/01/2021 07:32

@ew1990 Thankyou ❤️
Wow, your fall must have been really scary - so relieved for you that all is ok. My partner is terrified of me falling downstairs - he's a bit obsessed about about it! Good to know baby is fine and hope you're not too achey! Xx

ew1990 · 31/01/2021 11:34

@jennym my bums a bit sore and my elbow but that's it. Baby still jumping around x all I could think was omg I've made it this far please don't all go wrong now.

Hope everyone's had a lovely weekend

Lollol86 · 31/01/2021 16:13

I've finally hit 28 weeks. Hello 3rd trimester. I hope this one goes a bit quicker than the last one. It does feel like a massive milestone ❤️

Simmy20 · 01/02/2021 09:31

I had my scan this morning. I'm only 5 weeks so not much to see but my ob-gyn showed me the little specs that were the yolk sac and fetal pole. He wants to see me for a scan every week for now. Makes it easier as just a week to get through at a time. He said we should see the flicker of the heartbeat next week. Had a lot of scanxiety last night before the scan though.

SkyBlue20 · 01/02/2021 09:34

Morning ladies! Happy February - and happy 'baby's coming' month to some of you! And a few of us can now say we're due next month, argh!

@DanceM1 How're you getting on? Glad everything seemed to settle and be ok. I haven't written my birth plan yet - have a few videos left to watch on my Positive Birth Company course then want to read back over my NCT notes and get on with compiling one. My midwife asked me if I'd thought about birth preferences at my 34 week appt but that was about it.

@Sakura54 Glad your parents have been vaccinated now, such a relief, isn't it? My mum has been due to her job but I'm desperate for my dad to be now.

@ew1990 Hope you're ok after your fall, must have been so scary! Are you in pain? Glad baby is ok ☺️

@Lollol86 Yay to the third trimester, not long to go now!

I think pesky little madam has moved back in to a transverse position (from head down) and as a result, I'm hardly feeling her again, cue lots of anxiety and worry all weekend (and this morning). I'm trying to just really concentrate on her as much as possible and am noting down every movement I feel but I've gone from being able to see ripples over my tummy and really strong movement last week to feeling what I can only describe as tickles yesterday and today (and a couple of big rolls last night). I just want her to be here now, I'm sick of all this, it makes me so anxious. It's annoying as my pregnancy is perfect in every other way but this one thing is just a huge black cloud over it all.

Moan over!

Hope everyone else is doing ok. A lot of us are getting so close now, it won't be long until the first little one is here and that's plenty to be joyful for 🥰

Oh that's fab, congrats @Simmy20! So good that they want to scan you weekly, too - such lovely reassurance to have. The next scan will be here before you know it ☺️
Lollol86 · 01/02/2021 09:39

@SkyBlue20 these babies are such a worry aren't they. My little lady has a few active days then she goes really quiet. It's been the same for weeks now.

NI101 · 01/02/2021 10:17

@Simmy20 congratulations! I’m touching 5weeks today as well and considering booking an early scan. Though I'm a little unsure as I wasn’t sure what I should expect to see at this stage.

I had an awful day full of anxiety yesterday. I woke up to very light pink spotting when I wiped. Which I tried to ignore as it was barely anything. Before I went to sleep, I had a lot more when I wiped but still of that light pink colour. I couldn’t sleep all night thinking I had lost it and that my period was going to start. When I did sleep I woke up to nightmares about the whole thing. Eventually I got up at a sensible time to use the toilet and this time the colour had changed to a deeper brown which suggests it has stopped right? I was still so panicky, I took another pregnancy test which still showed a positive result.

I’m feeling a little calmer now, still monitoring the situation. Did anyone here have a similar experience in their early pregnancy which didn’t impact the rest of their journey?

Thank you 🙏🏻

SkyBlue20 · 01/02/2021 10:28

@Lollol86 That's exactly like this one - she has I'd say two days a week where she goes really quiet, I like to think they're her growing days! Makes me worry every time though - how are you meant to know when it's not normal?!

@NI101 I'm so sorry you had some bleeding, it's so terrifying, isn't it?! If it helps, a lot of us here had similar. I personally had a bleed (red blood) around 8 weeks, went to EPU and had a scan and baby was there with a little heartbeat. Now 34 weeks and haven't had any more and there was no obvious reason for it, just one of those things. Brown suggests that it's old blood so hopefully nothing to worry about but know it's easier said than done. Sending love xx

Simmy20 · 01/02/2021 11:07

@NI101 sorry to hear about the bleeding. I hope everything is ok. I wouldn't recommend getting a scan this early as there really isn't much to see. I'd wait another week if you want one as you should be able to see something by then. I'm high risk so my dr had to get me in.

Lollol86 · 01/02/2021 11:11

@SkyBlue20 mines exactly the same and I said to my husband maybe she is having growth days which tires her out. It's just so worry. I don't recognise a pattern yet.

Just home from my GD test, I feel shattered now.

ew1990 · 01/02/2021 11:51

@N101 I had a gush of red blood at 9 weeks pregnant everything was fine, and I had bleeding with DD.

@simmy glad your getting weekly scans.

@skyblue20 no no pain today I'm OK now. Hope baby moves soon for you, was it you who's having weekly monitoring? If not and your still worried I'd give triage a ring

DanceM1 · 01/02/2021 12:47

@SkyBlue20 I'm doing ok thank you. Baby has been very active over the last couple of days so that has kept reassuring me. Im really nervous about my scan tomorrow in case they say my fluid levels are too high and I've had GD or worse all this time and not known. Having said that, I've been reading a thread about women with really high fluid levels and all of them were fine and had perfectly healthy babies so im trying not to freak out! My scan is at 8.30am so at least I don't need to wait long in the morning! Im sorry your little one has gone a bit quiet again! Its such a worry...im certain you will be right about her position etc.. you tend to be right about these things I think. But as ever, just head back to triage if you are worried at all. Its worth it isn't it!

@Lollol86 Happy third trimester 🥳

@Simmy20 that sounds great! And brilliant that they're keeping a close eye on you.

@NI101 Sorry you've had a bleed its so scary. Im afraid I don't have any exact experience in your case but I did have a bit of a bleed nearly 2 weeks ago at 34 weeks which terrified me but after monitoring they were confident it was "just one of those things". Bleeds can happen for all sorts of reasons!

JennyMY · 01/02/2021 19:34

Had growth scan today and baby is still on the small side - just 13th centile for weight, so they are moving delivery date forward to 38 weeks. Will find out date tomorrow but looking like this Friday or next Monday! Which means I'll be meeting my little boy within the week! 💙
Hope everyone is ok. Will catch up on posts this evening xx

DanceM1 · 01/02/2021 19:53

Ahhhh @JennyMY this is sooo exciting! And 13th centile is still within the average range isn't it?! so I wouldn't worry. So exciting!! Im jealous 🤣🤣 First baby in the group 🥳🥳🥳

Workingmama1 · 01/02/2021 20:20

Wow @JennyMY he will be here so soon! Are you all ready?

Baby has been very active today, the kicks and punches were actually a bit painful! I registered the baby at my daughters nursery today which felt weird...

@ew1990 glad your not feeling too bad after your fall.

I hope the scan goes well tomorrow @DanceM1

@skyblue20 have her movements picked up yet? Its so hard differentiating a different position vs reduced movements bad enough to call for!

SkyBlue20 · 01/02/2021 20:30

Ahhhh @JennyMY that’s so exciting!!! How’re you feeling about it? The first baby of the group, I can’t believe we’re here already! 🥰

How was your GD test @Lollol86?

Good luck with the scan @DanceM1!

@Workingmama1 Wow, registering baby at the nursery is exciting! I keep getting told there are a year to two year waiting lists round here but asked a friend who searched for a nursery for her DS near here not too long ago and she said I have a few months yet but to do it early. So much to think about!

Have been super tuned in to baby today and she has been really active after her quiet morning! The movements feel different but they’re there and she’s no less active than usual so I’m not worried, reckon she’s just lying differently. Eager for my next MW appt to see what position she’s in but it’s not until next week so she could have moved again by then 🤷🏻‍♀️ Based on where I’m feeling movement and where my tummy is harder, I have a feeling she’s transverse again but we’ll see!

Lollol86 · 01/02/2021 20:37

I've been diagnosed with gestational diabetes tonight 😭😭

Starfish762 · 01/02/2021 20:57

@Lollol86 oh no! So sorry to hear that. From my limited knowledge it can be managed & no risks to baby, just very annoying for you!

@JennyMY oh wow how exciting! Hope you’re feeling okay about it xx

I’m 23w today & movements are still very light, but have felt SO much lighter the past 3 days. Didn’t think I felt her at all over the weekend but I barely sat still so could be why, have felt today/tonight but so light 😫 DH said I should ring but Im sure before 24w there’s nothing they can do, does anyone know?

Lollol86 · 01/02/2021 21:07

@Starfish762 very annoying. I didn't have this with my first 2. How am I going to cope with chocolate 😂

DanceM1 · 01/02/2021 21:10

@Starfish762 I'm not sure they would bring you in before 24 weeks but maybe they can reassure you if you call? I think I was told not to worry about regular movements until 25 weeks.

Thank you @Workingmama1 and @SkyBlue20 I'm feeling really nervous.

@Lollol86 sorry to hear about the GD. Best that they have diagnosed now though and it can be under control. My growth scan tomorrow is because baby's fluid levels were looking a bit high last time.. they said if its gone up it will probably be GD. I was tested for it but didn't have the full test after the drink because of covid so now I'm worried ive had GD all this time without it being diagnosed. Hopefully not!!😫
