@Smilingdonkey My consultant last pregnancy asked me if I was finished having children and if I would like my tubes tied, but when I said no he just dropped it. This guy was a bit rude. I'm wondering whether I can ask for a different consultant.
There is no continuity, it's very stressful isn't it. I wouldn't have said 80th centile is particularly massive. My consultant mentioned my first being a small baby, but that's never come up before, so I'm a bit confused.
So exciting so many of you are packing hospital bags!
I'm very impressed with all of you being so organised with drawer organisers and things. All my things are always just messy and split across several drawers (in different rooms) to fit in.
Re birth plans, I had an epidural with my eldest and wish I hadn't. I got confused and thought the midwife said I had to have it now or not for hours (I was very dehydrated and had been in labour a while), and I'm sure it's why I ended up with an emcs for failure to progress. It is definitely worth being prepared for all possibilities, and make sure your birthing partner knows what you want so they can help advocate when you're a bit occupied. Also my first I found the gas and Air made me feel really sick, so with my second I was reluctant to try it, but it was great that time.
@rosiejess glad your dad is home! How is he feeling? Not sure about the tummy time for your son.
@DanceM1 we are busy clearing out to try to make space too. I've never heard that about movements, I think I'd be wary about that if I wasn't getting any other movements to be honest.
@Pugprincess sounds like the nursery is really coming on, how exciting. Love the snow mama pic!
@ workingmama sorry you had reduced movements again, and that the dr was rubbish. Glad the midwife sorted him out and they are keeping an eye on you. How are you tracking movements? I've not had much movement today, but I'm only 21 weeks so I don't think they do anything. Going to have a rest and a cold drink to see if I can wake him up. If you're worried, go in is always the best plan, the worst that can happen is nothing - midwives would rather see you for nothing than not see you and something be wrong.
@Lu91 lovely scan pic! See what the next measurement is, they're not always very accurate at measuring.
@skyblue20 lovely that your mum got to go to your scan. We got given a piece of paper for the front of our notes to write our birth partner on, and they're the only one allowed into scans. Sorry you've hurt yourself.
@NI101 congratulations on your bfp! I think we've all spent our pregnancies worrying, as others have said little milestones, one day at a time.
@Simmy20 blood results sound good.
@Sakura54 sorry you had reduced movements too, glad they were nice at triage and all was ok.
@bubblybon ooh, thanks for reminding me I need to book my whooping cough vaccination. I hope you manage to get booked in soon.
