Hi
I did a post last night just don't know what to do :-(
I'm 4+5 I think. Clear blue yesterday said 1-2 weeks.
Last night had some red specks of blood then this morning pinkish and red blood. I've attached photos. Literally like my period is starting!

What do I do? I don't even know what to think!

Should I contact anyone?

Thanks xx

Sorry you're going through this. I didn't want to read and run. I'd wait until bleeding stops and then retest. Or wait a week and retest. I know it sounds like a long time. Hoping for the best outcome 🙏

Alonelonelyloner · 01/01/2021 14:39

After my miscarriages (6) it took at least two weeks to get a negative.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Be kind to yourself xx

SnooperTrooper12345 · 01/01/2021 16:34

I had this bleeding with both pregnancies between 5 and 6 weeks. It was slightly red/pink to start with and then changed to brown. And it was only when wiping.
If you feel worried, I'd ring the EPU
However, try not to worry too much as long as it isn't heavy bright red blood with cramping

SnooperTrooper12345 · 01/01/2021 16:36

Just seen your updates as I missed a page, sorry.

It took almost 4 weeks for me to get a negative test after my miscarriage so doing tests won't confirm anything unfortunately

Garman · 01/01/2021 16:51

I cam barely see a line on that test it's very very faint.

xem87 · 01/01/2021 16:53

@SnooperTrooper12345 mine went to bright red heavy filled a pad yday today just when wiping but still red very watery. Definetely lighter today tho for day 2 hopefully it's stopping. I was only nearly 5 weeks so maybe not too much blood to loose? I had bloods done yday not heard nothing but guessing GP closed until Monday xx

Sorry you're going through it! I was only 5 weeks with my first miscarriage and there was a loooot of blood and clots and a lot of pain. So that is a slightly good sign.
My second I was 10 weeks and had a similar amount of bleeding ect.
Hopefully you get your results back Monday!
Got my fingers crossed for you ❤️

Im 99% sure miscarriage / chemical pregnancy as I have no clue what else bleeding would be! I just thought I would have more blood! It's literally like spotting before my period, then day 1 really heavy now stopping? Did you get a weird taste like blood / metallic in mouth? I've had it last 2 hours awful xx

OP posts:
Funkypickle · 01/01/2021 23:05

So sorry you are having to go through this. The weird metallic taste can be a pregnancy symptom. If you are mc you can have pregnancy symptoms until your hcg bottoms out.

Bleeding with a cp or mc can vary and may be a slower bleed but over a longer time frame than a normal cycle in my experience anyway. Hopefully, your gp has alerted you what to watch out for. Follow advice.

Also, I highly recommend a hot water bottle if you have any cramping or backache.

Best wishes and kind thoughts to you and your dp.

Mummy2O · 02/01/2021 10:53

I am so sorry this has happened to you. Implantation bleeding can be heavy enough to be mistaken for a period, so it could be that. Only time will tell I'm afraid. They will likely do two blood tests a couple of days a part to check if your hormone levels are doubling or not. As that will give a good indication of what is going on.

If it is a MC it can take a while for your hormones to return to normal, so your tests may still show as positive for a while.

Sending you love. You must be so worried.

xem87 · 02/01/2021 11:26

Thank you xx
I just think miscarriage now feel really sad trying to just think positive tho and start trying again. Bleeding stopped today pretty much xx

OP I don't want to give you false hope, but with my first DC I bled really badly, clots, the whole shebang. All my symptoms disappeared but when i had a scan all was well.

To this day I don't know what the bleeding was but up until 10 weeks I did bleed on and off. He is now 11 years old.

I hope you're ok and it might be worth going to the epu if that's possible.

xem87 · 02/01/2021 12:15

@Sallycinnamum mine felt just like period? Was dark red heavy blood then red blood? Xx

OP posts:
Sallycinnamum · 02/01/2021 13:44

I didn't have any pain OP but I had a wierd dragging feeling in my stomach and back ache.

It's really hard for any of us to say if you've had a MC or not. Can you get to your local EPU next week?

I know it's an awful time as it's the not knowing that's the hardest.

xem87 · 02/01/2021 15:03

I had bloods done Thursday at doctors and then I'm going again Monday. I'm expecting HCG to have gone and then I'm assuming that's it. My BBT temp gone down too so guessing that's another sign xx

Hi OP, sorry that you are in the dark as it's the worst place to be. With my miscarriages (that didn't involve surgical management) that was how it was yes, rather like a period and then ending like that.

xem87 · 03/01/2021 10:16

Thank you that's good to know xx

Update -:

Hi all,

We had a chemical pregnancy. Confirmed today with bloods by GP. We have only been TTC second baby for 3 months....

I have got CB ovulation tests to use. Dr said wait 2 months before trying again... said I didn't have too but give cycle chance to get back to normal. We did BBT monitoring and used conceive plus lubrication gel last month and got pregnant but the chemical. Does this increase risks of chemical does anyone know?

We are keen to start trying again... does anyone know that if we do is it likely to end in miscarriage again? Has anyone else who's had chemical pregnancy waited or started trying again straight away?

Sorry for all Qs
Thank you xx

I was told to wait but the only reason I've learnt is for your mental health to make sure you're ok and to get an accurate date from your period.
My DH was due to go away so we just tried and hoped for the best. I think I waited about 1.5-2 weeks and took a negative test and then fell pregnant straight away.
With my first miscarriage I was told that you're more fertile after and that certainly seemed the case with all of my pregnancies (1st = miscarriage, 2nd = fell pregnant the following month and had a boy, 3rd = miscarriage, 4th = fell pregnant the following month and now 17 weeks).
Good luck for the future and I hope it happens quickly for you.

There is no correlation between not waiting and the chance of miscarriage/chemical pregnancy. It is mostly just to give yourself time to get over it and also so you know when your periods are due ect with dates if you do fall pregnant
