Thanks all!

Home now and trying to figure out the lay of the land with a 2 day old.

Breastfeeding is hard! I have very large breasts so finding most of the positions hard to see what I’m doing, lying down seems the only one I can do and I’ve got about a 50% success rate so far.

I’m hand expressing a fair amount so he’s getting that a few times per day at least, but so paranoid that he isn’t feeding enough!

Well, 40+3 here and clearly the second sweep didn't work! This baby has no interest in coming earthside. Must have heard about how rubbish 2020 is and is waiting til 2021 haha.

Induction due to go ahead on Monday and have pretty much accepted that's what's going to happen now

Bouncing on the ball in a last ditch attempt to ring the baby in for new years eve haha!

Still with you @Katbaby, 40+5. I'm pretty sure we're heading for 2021 as well, being induced in the morning if we haven't started on our own.

Good luck for tomorrow @loobeelou we will soon meet our little ones ❤️

Really thought I wouldn't need inducing as I've had so many signs but I guess there is still time, but Ive accepted it and it doesn't make me too sad anymore

I felt the same way with DS, I had come to terms with being induced at 40+10 even though there were plenty of signs. I was booked in for 4pm but then my water broke at 6am and the contractions started!

I thought being baby 2 we would have started on our own by now but no 🤪

Best of luck for the next few days, there is still time 😊

You’ve both got this, every day seems like a lifetime so just take it hour by hour.

Sending love and comfortable vibes!

Gorgeous baby Sophia born on the 29th by planned c-section. Home now. Just like with my first two, couldn't imagine her at all before she came, and now she's here I can't imagine being without her. She is delicious and peachy. Sending labour vibes to those of you in the final days. So nearly there, keep the faith x

Congratulations @AuntLucy and happy new year all

I now have an induction booked for Sunday when I’ll be 40+11. Less than 48 hours for things to start on their own but 🤞

Hope everyone is doing well xx

Hi ladies, our baby girl arrived yesterday (1st Jan) at 5:30pm. We are doing well, enjoying lots of cuddles!

Thank you for the past few months, you all have helped keep me (some what) sane 😂

Good luck to the ladies still waiting, not long now x

Congratulations @loobeelou did you need the induction in the end or did she come on her own accord? I'm still waiting impatiently! Feel like I'm the last one left 😭😭

Congratulations @AuntLucy how gorgeous ❤️

Any movement @makingababy or are you waiting impatiently like me?

@Katbaby I was induced. Started on the drip at 10am, I had the dr turn on the epidural at 12:00 (I had already asked for one after being on the drip with DS) when contractions were getting more intense. They broke my water but was still 1cm at 3:30 and then at 5:30 she arrived 😂

I don't know if it was because it was 'planned' or because I'd had the drip before, I found it a lot more calm experience than with DS.

No more though!

Best of luck, I'm going to keep popping in to see how you're getting on. Can't wait to hear your news x

Did you ask them to go straight on the drop @loobeelou? My induction Monday is starting with a sweep and propess at the birthing centre then they send me home to see if that starts it within 24 hours then I can still use the midwife led unit if it does

Then if that fails I'll be booked into hospital for the 24 hours later for pessaries and then drip as last resort

@Katbaby no, when I had my check up on Monday (28th) my Dr decided then that I'd be straight on the drip. She did do a sweep at 8am yesterday because I'd been having contractions in the night.

Maybe because it's my 2nd, DD arrived a lot faster than DS!

@Katbaby still waiting impatiently too. Induction starting tomorrow afternoon but planning to do outpatient like you’ve said, I’m keen to be in MLU too. If they can’t get balloon in then will be pessary but we’ll see. Part of me wonders if I should just go for
Inpatient and get it all over with - if I could do that and manage to get one of the few rooms with a bath then might be a good middle ground.
I’ll be thinking of you and hoping you make lots of progress today and tomorrow! Xx

@makingababy I think I'm more likely to go into labour at home than in hospital as I'll be more relaxed in my own environment so think the outpatient option is best for me.

Even if it does take a day or so longer, I keep thinking well within 4/5 days baby will be here ❤️❤️

Hi girls!
I've had a pretty chaotic 48 hours!! Was booked for a sweep on Friday, my midwife did my blood pressure and was concerned how high it was so sent me to triage to be assessed.. turns out I have preeclampsia.. I got admitted that evening and told I wouldn't be leaving the hospital without giving birth - it was the most stressful evening, with them telling me I couldn't see my husband for an hour.. to then me totally breaking down on the ward in front and the s being sick everywhere in front of everyone and them getting my husband from the car to help calm me down - I don't know what happened but I isn't lost my calm totally.. anyway it did mean I got my own room until they had a slot for me on the induction ward.. fast forward a day or so and at midnight on Saturday I got the knock and both my husband and I are now camped out in an induction bay, I've had the pessery and I'm hoping this is enough to bring her on! It felt at some point yesterday like I'd never be going home. Keeping everything crossed we see our baby girl soon 💕
Hope all who are left waiting are feeling ok?? xxx

@djmbaker that sounds awful! So sorry you had such a huge shock and weren't allowed any support either, it's really insane that people have been allowed in pubs and shops but yet pregnant women are still being left alone. ☹️

How exciting though now you've got things started! Not long until your baby is finally here ❤️ I'll be checking back for news!

Aww @djmbaker I hope you are feeling a lot more settled and are close to meeting or even with baby now!!

I need to ring in the morning to get my appointment time to start the induction process. More nervous about the covid swab than anything else....

What a long weekend of waiting this has been!

Oh god the Covid swab!!! I had mine today... that was worse than the internal examination 😂😂😂

Well... it just carries on, my induction has been stopped now! The pessery has been removed as they have no space for anyone on the labour ward so they have cancelled all scheduled inductions and stopped all existing ones 😔😔😔 totally fed up!! xxx

Good luck @Katbaby hope it all goes well xxx

Oh @djmbaker that's so frustrating!! Will they let you go home then or keep you in?

Really hoping the initial outpatient induction kicks it off so they can't do something similar to me.

Thinking of you!
