Just to add - I actually can't think of a single person I know born in September, must be a unique birthday!

VNttc · 31/12/2020 15:37

@birchtree4 Congratulations! How exciting! Is it your first?

I'm 15dpo today and officially 2 days late for period. I told my parents, siblings and partners parents last night :)

meagain2021 · 31/12/2020 16:43

@Birchtree4 hello and congrats! Exciting times for everybody! This is my second baby, and think i will hang on and tell people at the 12week mark again. I seem to be more relaxed this time around, only done two tests where as before think I had done about 10 🤣

Birchtree4 · 31/12/2020 16:48

@vnttc thats awesome, congrats to you too! Yes this is my first! How about you?
Oooooooh are your families really excited?!

AliClaire777 · 31/12/2020 17:03

Hello! I’m also looking at a September due date . The 9th is my predicted date from my little tracking app (Making me 4+6 I think? Still learning all the lingo!! :-P) so I’m crossing fingers and toes it all goes well! It’s agonizing waiting and I’ve only known since the 27th Dec! Xmas Grin This will be our first pregnancy so I’ve got all those normal anxieties and I’m trying to be super careful but there’s also another part of me that still just doesn’t believe it as we had only been trying for two months (and I am fully aware how lucky we are for it!). Looking forward to the coming months and how exciting how many little ones there will be then . xxx

VNttc · 31/12/2020 17:18

@birchtree4, it is my first, we've been trying for around 6 months so I was starting to get a bit worried! My family are so excited - they didn't know we'd be trying so it was a lovely surprise for them :) when do you think you'll tell yours?

@aliclaire777 just because you've only been trying for a couple of months you shouldn't feel bad! I'm so nervous as well, not had many symptoms which I know is normal at this stage but I want it to all start now so I know something is happening! Instead I keep peeing on sticks like a mad woman!

AliClaire777 · 31/12/2020 17:40

@VNttc that’s exactly me!!! I’ve had three positives and I just still can’t fathom it 😂!! I’ve decided I am allowed to use the last two tests but then I have to relax and try to enjoy the ride :-P!

Jules2210 · 31/12/2020 17:56

@VNttc and @AliClaire777 welcome!!
I also found out on the 27th and have been taking tests every morning to make sure I’m still pregnant 🙈 it’s my first so I’m extra nervous but just booked in a private scan I’m at 7 weeks for some reassurance, are you planning to do any early scans?

VNttc · 31/12/2020 18:02

@jules2210 I am planning an early scan, think I'll book mid-late Jan when I'm around 7. 5 weeks? Don't want to go too early and freak myself out if they can't see a heartbeat :)

@aliclaire777 I'm impressed with your restraint! I've already been through 2 FRER, 2 digital clearblue weeks one's and 4 online cheapies... And then ordered 2 more FRER and clearblue weeks :p I've set myself specific days I can test now though and it seems to be helping me 😂

AliClaire777 · 31/12/2020 18:23

@Jules2210 Ooh I genuinely didn’t know I could 😂🙈! I have booked my midwife appointment but I might do some research for the early scan... it would certainly put my mind at ease!!

@VNttc Hahaha I know if I had more tests to hand I would have done them :-P!!! I think my anxiety also comes from not wanting to waste anyone’s time given the pandemic - I’d be mortified to show up and find out I’d done something wrong 😅! But I’m feeling more confident each day 🤞!

VNttc · 31/12/2020 18:25

Just discovered this thread has a facebook group as well if anyone else wanted to join! It's September Babies 2021 and private so no-one can see you've joined :)

AliClaire777 · 31/12/2020 18:31

@VNttc Ooh excellent!! I’m a wee bit better at Facebook I think 😂🙈!

Jules2210 · 31/12/2020 18:34

@AliClaire777 yes I’m happily spending the 100 pounds if it saves me a month of agony! @VNttc I’ve got mine booked in for 7w+4 for exactly the same reason
Will check out the Facebook group, thanks!

Highfalutinlootin · 31/12/2020 18:47

I'm also pretty nervous about telling work. I manage a team and my manager already has too many directs to shadow manage my team while I'm out, so I genuinely have no idea what they'll do while I'm out. Part of me thinks that if my team can cope independently for 6 months while I'm out, am I really needed in my job at all?

My manager also has never had children, and the only other peer woman on my team finished having kids years ago, so I worry they will just be annoyed and not sympathetic that I'm disrupting the team. :( I think I'll wait as long as I can to tell.

Just posting the direct link for the Facebook group again if that’s any easier as it was a few pages back now.

Hope everyone is doing well!

In regards to the maternity leave chat - with my first I was so lucky to be able to take 14 months leave in total. I finished work a month before my due date (as I had annual leave needing using too) and then DD was 2 weeks overdue so I had 6 weeks off alone, which to be honest I did nothing with except watch Netflix! Then I went back a few weeks after her first birthday.

Financially though I don’t think we’ll be able to stretch to that this time, I’m hoping I’ll manage 9 months as least. I’m lucky that my Mum is childcare for my DD at the moment so it’s a little easier to go back as she sends me updates constantly haha. I really wish I could just not go back though!

Happy New Year to everyone, best wishes for the weeks and months to come!

wrensandrobins · 01/01/2021 09:02

Happy new year everyone!

Ralala · 01/01/2021 09:21

Happy new year everyone!!

I’m up and off to get a work out in . Gym is closed for the foreseeable so I need to make do with my equipment in the garage. Worst timing ever for gyms to close

Scaredycat101 · 01/01/2021 09:50

Happy new year everyone! 🥳 We've planned to go on a walk today up some hills and I'm hoping my breathlessness is calming down else I'll be trailing at the back 🤦🏽‍♀️.

@Ralala love your dedication to the gym at home! I need to get some light exercise in really as I don't want to be sat around for 9 months 😩.

Ralala · 01/01/2021 10:12

@Scaredycat101 I find the more active I remain the better I feel. Also trying to work off the Xmas excess!

JadaMarie92 · 01/01/2021 13:45

I got mind yesterday. After 3 previous mc I am pretty nervous but hoping this will finally be my time!

Jules2210 · 01/01/2021 14:37

@Ralala are you getting a prenatal program? I’ve started looking into it but there’s so many available that I’m sticking with my barre exercises for now...

ShireMama · 01/01/2021 14:41

Hello everyone

I’m 5 weeks with baby number 2, due date is September 1st.

A little overwhelmed as it happened quicker than expected and I have a 10 month old. Terrified about telling my work I’ll be taking more time off as I only just got back to work.

AHobbyaweek · 01/01/2021 14:48

Got a faint BFP yesterday and again although slightly darker today. Current due date 13th September! Feeling the flutters of excitement but currently haven't told DH. Want to do something special to tell him as last time with DD I just woke him and threw the used stick at him Grin.
I have a knitting obsessions atm so going to knit some socks up for DD with Big sis on them.

wednesdayrobyn · 01/01/2021 15:57

Happy new year! I got my bfp this morning so a lovely start to the new year. I had a chemical pregnancy last month so myself and DH are remaining a bit cautious. I also have a son that just turned 3.
