@2020mc yes cramps are normal :) mine feel lighter than period cramps, more that I'm just aware of my uterus rather than pain :) it's doing a lot of stretching and work at the moment

wrensandrobins · 30/12/2020 14:51

I was cramping but that seems to have stopped I have also been really itchy!

KitQ · 30/12/2020 14:52

I was getting a lot of pains and stretching every day last week. Nothing really today though. I think it’s just your uterus and everything making room for baby.

Ralala · 30/12/2020 14:52

Yes cramping and pulling here too. I remember this from last time and I got it until
About 10 weeks when it disappeared and then I freaked out until my scan and then it came back with a vengeance at 14 weeks!

Scaredycat101 · 30/12/2020 15:46

I've not had anything today really, even boobs are less sore! Trying not to think the worst, as I think it's normal at 4-5 weeks for symptoms to come and go? No tiredness or nausea either!

Jules2210 · 30/12/2020 16:16

Anyone else panicking and looking for blood every time they go to the toilet? After my chemical last month I’m just sort of waiting for it to happen again..

Darklava09 · 30/12/2020 16:20

See my pains are awful. Really strong and worse than my endo and period pains together which believe me are terrible most of the time. I don’t know if it’s down to my uterus being generally inflamed. I am
Nervous. I’m going to book a scan for another few weeks time. Fingers crossed for everyone Smile
No other symptoms apart from cramps and sore boobs.

leftitlate37 · 30/12/2020 16:27

hey all!
@2020mc how far along r u? i had just this before got a BFP the day after AF was due, and still getting a bit although not nearly like last week.
defo know what u mean its a bit unsettling but i think this is normal. thats gr8 u have a scan bookedfor 6 weeks, not long to go hopefully!
After a MMC in october, still not quite believing anything here and waiting for AF to arrive but trying to relax about it and know that what will be will be.

Noornie · 30/12/2020 16:33

Just to say to all those worrying about cramps - with my first I remembering literally sobbing to my DH on the sofa that I was so convinced something was wrong because I was having cramps that were quite sore and quite regular.

My midwife at the time said it was really normal and just things moving - she was totally correct and I had ‘period’ like cramps all the way through to 15 or 16 weeks along. I know they feel worrying but more often than not it’s nothing to worry about!

leftitlate37 · 30/12/2020 16:52

thanks @Noornie that is reassuring! and sorry all - i think i posted to you @2020mc having missed the most recent page of everyone elses comments!

felicityheather · 30/12/2020 17:40

@Jules2210 I did that EVERY time I went to the bathroom when pregnant with my now son. We'd had several losses before and it became sort of ingrained? I was even checking for months post partum! I'm trying to be better this time and act more positively.

Also, second that I had tonnes of light cramps through first trimester with my son. Often if I stretched it felt like I pulled something? Have been noticing the same in the last few days. I'm not concerned about it.

2020mc · 30/12/2020 17:53

Great that it seems to be a universal symptom. Thanks ladies 😁

Everstorm · 30/12/2020 18:04

Sorry to hear those with cramps and spotting. Can understand why it would be worrying! I'm the same with checking for bleeding every time I pee! 🙈
Hopefully lots of good news to come to help ease anxiety.

I was doing ok, but today I've been hit with tremendous lightheadedness and dizzy spells. This morning was worse as it felt like my brain did a 360 when I turned to get my phone off the bedside table while in bed. I later nearly fell over while standing still 😬 Felt a little unbalanced all day so getting plenty of rest with regular snacks and keeping hydrated.
Anyone else experienced this?

Guessing it may just be low blood pressure or blood sugar...?
Hoping to have a midwife appointment through soon so will make sure to mention it.

DiamondsInThe · 30/12/2020 18:36

Hey all,

I hope everyone doing okay today, a lot of you have mentioned cramps, I think minor cramps are completely normal as long as they don’t get really uncomfortable where you feel the need to reach for the painkillers.

Thanks for asking @eb1989 I’ve just off the phone to the gp who’s referred me to EPU, just waiting for them to call me most likely tomorrow now. My doctor is usually lovely, but he wasn’t very reassuring and kept reiterating ‘oh yes must be a miscarriage’ without actually hearing me out, I’ll find out more when I go in I suppose just trying to remain positive for now

Jules2210 · 30/12/2020 19:02

@felicityheather good to know that I’m not alone! I’m just trying to make it to 5 weeks without any hiccups..
I’ve had light cramping too but nothing like last month where I cramped really badly for three days and then had an early loss. That cramping was much more than my normal AF cramping.

Raffie13 · 30/12/2020 19:59

@felicityheather my DH is the same! This is our first and unfortunately came the day after the death of a close relative of his. He says he's excited and happy but he's obviously also sad due to his loss. Because of the timing I never did any cute reveal to tell him, I just shoved the stick in his face and said IS THIS A LINE?!

I think for guys the excitement will all come later when it starts to become real

Raffie13 · 30/12/2020 20:02

Had my Dr appointment today, just went through a few Qs, asking if I drink, smoke, take folic acid etc. Really straight forward. She filled in a referral form for the midwife who will contact me for a booking appointment in the next few weeks.

2021mumma · 30/12/2020 20:17

Hi all congratulations on your BFP I also tested positive last few days think I’m just over 4 weeks and looks like due date of 5th September. Can’t quite believe it was 3rd month of trying and it’s baby number 3. I feel really nauseous already, napping in the afternoon, sore boobs was cramping loads but calmed down, vivid dreams and keep waking up at 3am think with everything flying around my mind. Only my husband knows am going to get harmony test done at around 10 weeks and then tell close family all being well. Dreading telling work very nervous about that!

Jules2210 · 30/12/2020 20:34

@2021mumma congrats!! How and when are you planning to tell work? I think I’ll try to leave it ass as late as possible, I’m the only female in my team and I work in finance so they won’t be very excited...

Hi! I'm 4+4!

I'm nervous. I just constantly worry something is going to go wrong. I don't even dare to tell anyone. I feel like being so anxious is making me not enjoy anything because I'm so worried!

Congratulations to everyone though. It is really the most exciting news. I couldn't believe it when I saw them two lines.xx

2021mumma · 30/12/2020 20:40

@Jules2210 I’m going to wait till 4 months we are all wfh till April so hopefully can hide it for a bit longer than if we were in the office that’s the plan. What are you thinking?

Dan3i · 30/12/2020 20:41
@Keyboard91 it’s understandable you feel anxious. I feel anxious but never have experienced a MC.

I’m proper paranoid though as I’ve got really bad cramps, I’m half expecting AF. I’ve gone off my food a little and feel a bit meh.

Hopefully the next few days will take our minds off of it for a while x
Hi I feel exactly the same. I'm struggling with cramps tonight and petrified it's a MC. I just wish there was a way to have a scan as soon as you know. I'd pay for one every week if I could lol xx

Dan3i · 30/12/2020 20:44

@Scaredycat101

Hi all!

Had a bit of a anxiety spiral earlier, worrying about whether morning sickness will be horrendous and what other joyous symptoms will arrive in the next few weeks (4 weeks today).

Has anyone else had any cramps and lower back pain or other symptoms? I've been having these on and off today and ended up overthinking everything whilst DP watched the football! I shouldn't be left to my own devices I swear, feeling very silly! 😭

I'm exactly the same don't worry. I'm sitting here with a hot water and cramps praying it's nothing bad.

Xx

Jules2210 · 30/12/2020 20:46

@2021mumma same here, think might not be in the office before April but was hoping to wait until 5/6 months if possible (if I can hide it this long!) so it doesn’t affect work too much. Let’s see how this works in reality as I work very long hours in a tiny team

Dan3i · 30/12/2020 20:46

@Rice1992

Hi all, just found this thread and thought I’d join after getting my BFP at 12DPO last Tuesday (have also tested every day since and the line has got stronger so I’m pleased about that). I waited until Christmas Day to tell my husband though and although hard, it was an amazing surprise for him 🥰

Now though the anxieties have started. This is my first pregnancy and I have no idea what should feel ‘normal’. I kind of have what’s like a sensitive spot down my lower right hand side, and can kind of feel on and off that it’s there and pulling. But don’t know if it’s muscular or what. Going to book an early test next week for when we reach 8/9 weeks, but just praying everything is ok in the meantime. Hoping you can all put my mind at ease!

If all is well though, I’ll be due somewhen between 31st Aug and 3rd Sep according to a few different sources! Will be so nice to speak to others who are at the same point in their journeys, so I’m so glad I found this thread. Wishing you all healthy (and speedy if you like) first trimesters 💛

I'm exactly the same. I have a slight pulling on my left lower belly. I'm hoping it's nothing bad and just my body changing. We've booked an early scan at 7&a half weeks. Don't know how I'm going to last that long tho lol. I'm only 4+4 today and every day I'm worrying Xx
