No advice but hugs and good luck

StaceySlayer · 23/10/2007 13:49

Just wanted to say good luck and best wishes.

pooka · 23/10/2007 13:50

No experience of this myself, but just wanted to wish you luck for the scan. I did have a friend who has an early scan because of a suspected ectopic pregnancy, but the scan showed all was well. Re: the brown blood, I am sure that I lost a small amount of brown blood when pregnant with ds, at about 4-6 weeks after conception, so at about the time would have ordinarily have had a period.
Fingers crossed.

lucykate · 23/10/2007 13:51

fingers crossed its good news for you

similar things happened to me with dd, lots of pain and bleeding, i'd had 6 scans by the time i made it to 23 weeks when the bleeding finally stopped, so it doesn't always mean a sad outcome, hope its the same for you, x

bumptobaby · 23/10/2007 13:52

Hope you get on ok pepperpots

Big hug and positive thoughts from me

fruitymum · 23/10/2007 13:52

Fingers and toes crossed that you get good news after your scan.

spookthief · 23/10/2007 13:53

Obviously the only way of knowing is your scan, but if it's any tiny comfort in the meantime, I had dreadful pain (couldn't sit still) in the early stages of pg with ds and a small amount of bleeding. Early scan showed all was well.

I hope you have a similarly happy outcome. Will be thinking of you.

pepperpots · 23/10/2007 13:56

Thank you all so much. I just can't see this being good Stupidly i took another test and although its positive its not as dark as 2 days ago (admittedly i have drunk a lot of water)

Pepperpots - will pray for good news for you. Would you like me to post about your situation and need on the prayer request thread?

beeper · 23/10/2007 14:03

I have also had ectopic pregnancy.

I am sorry that you are having to go through this.

The most important thing is that you are being mananged properly.

I lost my tube in 2001. They will give you a trans vaginal scan and they are pretty accutate at diagnosing ep's. They may also take bloods for HCG levels.

The earlier they get it the greater the chance of saving the tube. Then again it could be a m/c or you could just be having some early bleeding.

should you have a ectopic and would like support or very up to date medical advice all about ep anc concieving after eps go to

www.ectopic.org.uk

best wishes

beeper · 23/10/2007 14:04

Also some ectopics are self resolving and need little medical intervention.

pepperpots · 23/10/2007 14:04

Northern - would you? I just feel so hopeless right now and scared and lonely as DH is in work and there is no way he will be back in time

I thought I had an ep with my second. It was an IVF pregnancy and I had agnoising pain on one side, I was convinced it was an ep but it wasn't. Sometimes I pregnancy can produce strange pains but the wait is agonising. Good luck.

PanicPants · 23/10/2007 14:09

I had an ectopic with those symptoms several years ago, had to have tube removed. But if I had gone for a scan early on they could have saved the tube. What I'm trying to say is, IF you do have an ectopic it can be dealt with much easier if they catch it early.

Since then I have gone on to have a ds, I also had similiar symptoms with that pregnancy and went for an early scan, and all was well.

So fingers crossed and good luck. Let us know how you get on xx

NorthernLurker · 23/10/2007 14:13

It's done Pepperpots - will be thinking of you all this afternoon.

podglet · 23/10/2007 14:55

Thinking of your pepperpots, will try and link to prayer thread for ease

MaryAnnSingletomb · 23/10/2007 14:56

good luck pepperpots - thinking of you

bluebell82 · 23/10/2007 14:59

fingers crossed it will be fine. I have had a previous ep and with this pregnancy I feared the same as lost a bit of blood and had very bad period pains up until I was about 8 weeks.. all fine though, hope the same for you x

chunkypudding · 23/10/2007 15:00

pepperpots - don't let the 2nd pg test make you worry any more than you are already. I did a 2nd one after a week or so and it seemed much fainter than the first which had been really bright blue - I'm now nearly 30 weeks so it didn't mean a thing.

AitchTwoOh · 23/10/2007 15:00

i've had two ectopics and one successful pregnancy (after the eps). i had brown bleeding and no pain with ep no 1 and brown bleeding and terrible pain with the successful pregnancy, and red bleeding with pain with ep no 2. there's no way of knowing how this will turn out, pepperpots, it could be anything, truly. i hope we'll hear good news when you come back, but if not we'll be here. there are a lot of us that this has happened to.

chunkypudding · 23/10/2007 15:00

sending lots of hugs and postitive thoughts xx

hunkermunker · 23/10/2007 15:03

Thinking of you, PP. Hoping for good news later.
