When I've a minute I will try and tag everyone across the three threads.

@MrsB2019x Your DH and mine can create a club of lost and neglected husbands 🤣

Well, after the afternoon I've had, I feel like never having sex again, I feel utterly rubbish. I was sick for the first time, I burp non stop and can't stomach anything. I thought things were supposed to start getting better not worse around 10 weeks 😥

BananaHammock23 · 12/01/2021 19:47

@Champson I was told to take aspirin because I have a family history of blood clotting. I don't start until 16 weeks I don't think though!

Champson · 12/01/2021 20:41

Interesting answers thank you all!!

buckingmad · 12/01/2021 20:49

@PurplePansy05 I thought I felt bad from week 5-9 and then week 10 was a whole new kettle of fish.

BertieBotts · 12/01/2021 21:38

Oh no :o I have been feeling better the last couple of days!

MrsB2019x · 12/01/2021 21:46

@BertieBotts I’ve felt a bit better the last couple of days too and now worried it’s all going to crash back down and return with a vengeance! 😫 How many weeks are you? I’m 9+4

BertieBotts · 12/01/2021 21:54

I think I'm 9+1 now

ArchbishopOfBanterbury · 12/01/2021 23:10

Late joiner. Estimated 18th Aug but my cycles are up the creek since breastfeeding DS. He's 2 in April, this will be my 2nd. Hi all!

SS123456 · 12/01/2021 23:17

@PurplePansy05 @MrsB2019x mine can join the club too, we haven't dtd since I got my bfp at 3.5 weeks! I had a scan earlier and he asked me after if the sex ban can now be lifted 😂🙈

afictionado · 13/01/2021 00:30

@ArchbishopOfBanterbury Welcome! My DS will be 2 in May so very similar ages and age gap. Are you still breastfeeding? I'm kind of hoping mine will self wean when the supply starts to drop but so far he's just been more demanding. 😬

PurplePansy05 · 13/01/2021 07:11

I'm afraid the "I'm feeling better week" (or few days) has come and gone for me around 8-9 weeks, now at 9+4 I can safely say that yesterday was my worst day and today I've already woken up feeling sick, although at least I slept very well. I am finding that it's VERY important for me not to change my routine, I need to eat at certain times, something small every 2 hrs and definitely before 1pm. If I don't have lunch at 12-1, I feel awful in the afternoon. In the evening, nothing sugary. Not that I crave sugar anyway (opposite), but I now like sour sweets (?!) and if I have them late in the day, I'm v nauseous in the eve. Lots of water with ice and lemon throughout the day and one brisk walk per day. This has worked so far, although I am starting to see that indeed this is the whole new level compared to how I felt at 6 weeks, which I thought at the time wasn't great 🤦🏼‍♀️ It defies logic! My friend told me with one of her DCs she felt this way till the morning of her C-section, only 30 weeks to go if that's the case 🥳

LyraShaeLilly · 13/01/2021 07:58

I haven't DTD since I found out, then when I was in hospital the Dr advised that I don't until at least 12 weeks, I thought this was strange as I'm sure I read that its ok. When I googled it, I found that sex can aggravate pains and bring on Braxton hicks in later pregnancy so as seen as I was in hosp with pains that made sense.

However don't feel up to it anyway!!! I didn't expect nausea to be this bad, Im usually a massive chocoholic but haven't had any choc since I found out, there is so much left over from Xmas that I may have to donate to a food bank.

I find really plain, salty and savoury foods help.

Alittlexmasmagic · 13/01/2021 08:33

@Champson I was advised to take a small dose of aspirin (150mg) with my twin pregnancy just to reduce the risk of clots across the placenta. Might be worth checking with your consultant or MW. I didn't start these until 12 wks so don't worry too much just now x

Me again! Finally managed to get someone to ring me back after a few days of chasing. Turns out they had the first day of my last period as the 17th November not the 7th November that it actually was! So they were dating me as 7 weeks odd hence why no one had contacted me! Should have a phone appointment with the midwife tomorrow now luckily.

I’ve been feeling really nauseous as well, the thought of food makes me feel sick sometimes. I’ve got a DS who was two back in October and he is none stop. I have him in the day while his dad works and I work in a supermarket at night when I just want to crawl in bed. Sad I’ve also not told work yet, debating when too.

haidri · 13/01/2021 12:45

For me sour sweets are doing miracles.. they immediately stop the nausea but the issue is...

You've got to eat the whole packet to have the nausea fully wear off lol

Hahaha I was really craving fizzy sweets yesterday! My nausea only comes when I'm not eating! I'm going to be size of a whale soon!
MrsB2019x · 13/01/2021 12:58

Has anybody else been having period-like cramps? I’m 9+5 today and been having them on and off all day. Not super painful, just dull and noticeable

PurplePansy05 · 13/01/2021 14:41

@MrsB2019x I've had them on & off throughout (I'm 9+4). Less so this week but before they were very regular. It's like a periody feeling/tugging/pulling sensation in lower abdomen, is this more or less how it feels for you? It is your uterus stretching. Do you have tilted cervix? If so, you'll likely feel it more. It's because our muscles are relaxing due to hormones increasing. Unless you have any bleeding with that, it's nothing to worry about Flowers

LyraShaeLilly · 13/01/2021 14:49

Mrs B 2019 - Yes i have had these since 4 weeks and am now 7 week, I went to hospital with these. They feel like period pain plus a UTI without the urinary symptoms!!! After ruling out an ectopic as pain had moved to one side only, Dr told me some women are just more sensitive to a baby growing and can feel it more!!! They are worse on movement so just rest as much as you can.

LyraShaeLilly · 13/01/2021 14:51

Also interesting about the tilted cervix!!! I always have problems at my smear so maybe I have this which is why the pain so so much worse then other women!!!

Firsttimemumm31 · 13/01/2021 14:58

Hi everyone!! Had my scan today and I'm 11+4 so technically now due 31/07/21. Baby wouldn't flip the right way up and just kept moving but was amazing to see 💕 hope you guys are all well! Xx

I discovered my food heaven today - a sandwich: white bread with classic creamy Philadelphia and ready salted Walkers. Practically perfect in every way 😂

This is coming from a person who HATES ready salted crisps & loves travelling and eating local food wherever I go, and then I incorporate it to our menu at home. How times changed...

WinterBabyof89 · 13/01/2021 15:27

@Firsttimemumm31 pleased all went well at your scan

@PurplePansy05 that sounds delightful!
I had a bagel with ham today and I didn’t want it to end.

MrsB2019x · 13/01/2021 15:28

Thanks @PurplePansy05 @LyraShaeLilly, I haven’t really had many problems with cramps/pains etc til today. It just feels like a dull heaviness 😕 luckily it has eased up a bit as the afternoon has gone on ☺️

Pansy, that sounds LUSH! I’ve been eating Dairylea and crackers almost every day for weeks now 😂

@Firsttimemumm31 Congratulations! 🎉 x

PurplePansy05 · 13/01/2021 15:32

I didn’t want it to end @WinterBabyof89 you got me LOL here at this line 😂

@MrsB2019x Big fan of crackers here too, I usually have them with cheddar and a couple of grapes. Grapes, apples and blueberries are the only non-frozen fruit I entertain atm.
