Hi everyone,
just hoping to get as many people in one thread as possible. More scope for sharing knowledge, concerns or worries. Wishing everyone the best of luck on this journey.
When I've a minute I will try and tag everyone across the three threads.

6+2 today and managed to get an early scan (we are in Asia so Xmas not such a barrier). Heard a heartbeat and had confirmation it's viable. Merry Christmas all :)

Hi all please can I join, I’m due 29/08 by lmp but I think it should be a bit earlier than that by my dates, got my 3+ on clear blue today at around 22 dpo. Definitely feels like an amazing Christmas present, at the only good thing about not seeing family is not having to hide the fact that I’m not drinking! I already have two wonderful dds. I registered with my midwife a couple of days ago. Wonder if it will be a virtual booking appointment this time around.

Champson · 24/12/2020 09:11

@Threecouldbefour Thanks so much!! Will defo do. I guess first question is how much exercise is everyone doing?! I can’t seem to get a good answer from anywhere 🤔

BrandyM · 24/12/2020 10:42

Hi all, can I join please? I'm 5+6 today and due 20th Aug. I got pregnant for the first time after trying for 6+ years and with the help of IVF. Really excited but nervous about my 6 week scan on Wednesday. Really hope the baby is in the right place xx

Nimie · 24/12/2020 11:19

Morning all Merry Christmas Eve! I'm 5+3 Weeks today but hugely bloated, by the end of the day I look like 4 months pregnant. It's my second time, so might start showing earlier but how early? Sort of glad not seeing family as would be hard to hide the bump already🙈 at least on zoom calls I can keep camera above belly 😂 x

MumToBeMaz · 24/12/2020 11:26

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! Hope you all have a lovely time with your family. I managed to find a 2l bottle of caffeine free coke that I'm going to binge on, hahaha.

buckingmad · 24/12/2020 11:32

@Nimie I was horrifically bloated around 5-6 weeks. Happy to say that has now passed unless I eat pasta. I just have this new layer of stomach fat that definitely wasn’t there before but it is at least squishy rather than rock hard!

Applecrumble24 · 24/12/2020 11:52

@Nimie
I'm 6-7 weeks and have an obvious bump already too! This is my third but I've shown early with all of them. Think it's a mixture of being slim pre-pregnancy and bloating i guess!

FeelingBlessedx · 24/12/2020 11:52

Hi all I'm due Aug 11th from online calculator I have my private early scan next wed feeling hopeful as this all day feeling sick seems to be a good sign

tiinab · 24/12/2020 12:15

I spent my morning googling as woke up to barely any breast tenderness and a little discomfort on the left side of my stomach but every Google result I got said it is most likely gastric distress and it is normal not to have the feelings of boobs exploding every day. Planning on booking a private scan just after new year to help me stop worrying but I don't know if I ever will.
At least my nausea is coming back again.
Any suggestions on how to stop googling every single thing? It is driving me and my husband nuts

buckingmad · 24/12/2020 12:21

@tiinab how far along are you? My boobs calmed down after 6 weeks.

Nimie · 24/12/2020 12:24

@buckingmad @Applecrumble24 I'm hoping the bloating goes down soon, the extra Christmas food will just make it worse 😂 I lost a lot of weight since DS was born 2 years now, so any little weight on me is suspicious 🙈🙈

tiinab · 24/12/2020 12:26

About 6+3 right now by what to expect app. Was thinking if booking the scan around 8 week Mark that should help with nerves. Found a highly recommended place what has a few locations easy for me to access from central London.

Merry Christmas to everyone though! Hopefully we can all stay calm and not freak out over everything.

Alittlexmasmagic · 24/12/2020 12:33

@Firegirl35 thinking of you x

Threecouldbefour · 24/12/2020 12:38

@Champson I would take it easy personally but some people just carry on whatever exercise they have been doing every day. I just feel that you can suddenly start feeling really tired and grotty so any reserves you can build up before then is a good thing, I don't think there is a right or wrong really.

Threecouldbefour · 24/12/2020 12:38

Thanks @Destineyy and @BertieBotts xx

Ballen · 24/12/2020 14:07

I bought some alcohol free wine and bubbly (0.0%) so as not to raise suspicion tomorrow for not having a glass of wine, but at this rate my heightened sense of smell is going to give me away. I've just prepped the turkey and the smell of it is making me gag (dh says it doesn't smell of anything). Do you think anyone will notice if I wear a nose peg whilst I cook tomorrow?

Threecouldbefour · 24/12/2020 14:40

@Ballen I hear you. Everything smells revolting to me at the moment. Including things I usually love like fabric conditioner!

FeelingBlessedx · 24/12/2020 14:51

I'm so glad it not just me, everything makes me feel sick I feel sick all day and if I fancy something to eat I have to have it there and then otherwise I go off it. Has anyone had this b4 and is there light at the end of the tunnel I have had 2 previous babies with no sickness at all but this time its knocked me off my feet.

BertieBotts · 24/12/2020 17:37

Yeah, I'm not doing any cooking tomorrow! DH is doing it all. He had to do everything 3 years ago when I was pregnant with DS2 as well! Can't cope with smells at all.

I've ordered some sea bands off amazon so will let you know if they are any good. I've found sipping coke helps (but not too much as it's too sugary!) and DS1 has taken to appearing with a gherkin when I say I feel sick and that seems to help too :o

FeelingBlessedx · 24/12/2020 17:48

Did it last long with your last baby? Yes please let me know about the bands my friend mentioned those thank u

BertieBotts · 24/12/2020 17:58

I really can't remember when it stopped last time, sorry!

BertieBotts · 24/12/2020 17:58

I know most people find it improves by the end of the first trimester (12 weeks) hoping it settles down quicker than that.

FeelingBlessedx · 24/12/2020 18:24

Thank u I really hope so🤞🤞

tiinab · 25/12/2020 00:17

Anyone else with feeling fine pretty much the whole day and now at night I am having a really bad nausea and boobs getting sore again?!? Can't really fall asleep cause of that now 👀
Back ache was pretty much gone all day and kinda confirmed my thought that I sleep still at the worst positions 🙈
