Hope everyone's OK.

How many people are feeling movements? I'm 17+4 and I know it's normal to feel boring yet, but I'm getting so impatient!

Also, does anyone use the mypregnancynotes.com site? Midwife recommended it when I said I'd like to see my 12 week scan notes. I've registered there and it has loads of information ‐ everything EXCEPT my scan. So annoying!

If anyone uses the site, please let me know if you can see your scan notes and which tab.

SantoPalo · 07/01/2021 17:20

@Dragonfly92 how exciting 😁

Fightingtobepositive · 07/01/2021 17:23

@Mackie2020 I’m glad your doing well, not long to wait now then.

My scan is a week Monday 🤞🙏. I’ve felt movement to, but paranoid again now because it hasn’t been as regular the last couple of days. The worry never ends does it 🙈 my scan feels like forever to wait at the moment.

Firsttimeconcerns · 07/01/2021 17:34

@nellle - I have all my notes on that app too. My scan notes are not showing on either. I had to call the hospital to update it at 10 weeks as I still didn't have results from my booking in bloods showing. I am going to mention it to my midwife next time I speak to her.

Nellle · 07/01/2021 19:57

Thanks @firsttimeconcerns must be a common oversight!

Sitchervice · 07/01/2021 20:00

I'm not sure if this is my little boy or just my skin but i feel tickles sometimes on my tummy. 🤔
It's not all the time though

Lovethatjourneyforme · 07/01/2021 20:46

@Fishingforhappiness sounds rubbish and very stressful!! We're also moving, should be completing in 2 weeks, solicitors have been a right pain in the arse and this week has just been ALOT haha. Currently trying to chill with a glass of non-alcoholic wine, trying to convince myself it's the real thing 😂

Welcome to the new additions to the group 😊

@maloney123 I think we must be the same EDD, the 8th? I'm also just feeling fat at the moment, haven't actually gained much weight yet but look like I've put on tons 🤣

Dragonfly92 · 07/01/2021 20:48

@Nesski @SantoPalo it was a really exciting day. He's finally home and we're having identical boys! 🥰

@Nellle I'm 17 weeks and felt a bit of popping/bubbles on Monday but not a lot since. Hopefully you start to feel a little movement soon.

Lovethatjourneyforme · 07/01/2021 21:09

@maloney123 actually ignore that, realised I read your weeks completely wrong. Can I claim baby brain as a thing yet?? 😂

Scarftown · 07/01/2021 21:12

I haven’t felt anything yet. I’m 17+4 but my sister said she was nearly 20 weeks before she felt anything so not worrying.

I’m in the anxious bit where no symptoms and no feelings and 2 weeks or so til the scan to confirm everyone is ok.

Fishingforhappiness · 07/01/2021 21:24

Thank you @dragonfly92 @malonney123 and @lovethatjourneyforme . Glad i took the day off. I feel rubbish and have napped all day. But my lovely consultant called today just to check in and felt a little more reassured. Still havent felt the baby, or maybe i have or maybe it was gas!

I hope your move goes okay, we manage to time it all well dont well! Enjoy the bubbles!!

Congratulations @dragonfly. I hope you are both over the moon.

My 16 week apt was cancelled, rearranged for next week (18+5) now need to cancel as isolating. So looks like we will need to hold on until 20 weeks to find out. My husband parents, inlaws and grandparents all want it left as a suprise... i'm a "planner" im so keen to know!

Waitingforbabypage · 07/01/2021 22:05

@Firsttimeconcerns hey, just seen that you haven't had any results from your booking in?
I had mine done at 8 weeks and didn't actually get the results until the 16week phone appt with a midwife so I shouldn't worry- no news is good news as they say. ie if something was wrong they'd let you know but seeing as it's all clear they don't feel the need to ring.

Hope everyone is doing ok.

AlRRRR · 08/01/2021 08:03

@Nellle My NHS uses my pregnancy notes too and it does show the last 2 events, booking in bloods, and scan at 12 weeks, alongside the screening tests results.

I did also get a piece of paper with babies measurements on.

AlRRRR · 08/01/2021 08:04

@Nellle sorry my midwifes uses pregnotes.net !

LBee2020 · 08/01/2021 08:12

Good morning everyone. I'm 16+3 and have my first community midwife appointment today at the GP surgery. Can anyone tell me what will happen at this appointment? I thought I read somewhere that she would listen to baby's heartbeat but not sure if I imagined that.

I've not had any private scans so the gap between 12 and 20 week scans is feeling so long!

AlRRRR · 08/01/2021 08:22

@LBee2020

Hey! I had my first one at 8 weeks in the GP’s surgery and there they took bloods, BP and any history, checked wee plus a little chat!

I had one yday at 16 weeks and she did BP, had a quick chat about scan at 12 weeks and then asked if I’d like her to listen to HB of baby and record it, which I did.

We also discuss birthing options, lasted about 30 mins :)

AlRRRR · 08/01/2021 08:25

@LBee2020

Next I have the scan at 20 weeks, and then MW at the GP at 26 weeks, she did say I could have another before If I felt I needed it x

PinkPlantCase · 08/01/2021 08:32

Those talking about movement I’ve found it’s really ramped up since turning 18 weeks!

Movement has been getting stronger each day and I’ve got from maybe feeling them them I’m lay in bed to feeling them at my desk whilst I work and all evening when I’m on the sofa Smile

MarshallCleo · 08/01/2021 09:59

@LBee2020 My 16 wk appt was unfortunately a bit rubbish, it was a cover midwife and she would not listen to the baby's hb when I asked (said not done anymore, I am in SW London) and didn't discuss anything about my 12wk scan or birthing options :( I left a bit upset, I hope yours goes much better x

Scarftown · 08/01/2021 10:38

@LBee2020 mine was on Monday. It was just a blood pressure check urine sample and a leaflet on birthing options.

She then tried to find the heartbeat and couldn’t. She explained all the reasons why that could be but still left me a little anxious. I have only had a 12 week scan and a tiny bump and no movement so if they offer it make sure you are in the right state of mind incase they can’t find it.

AlRRRR · 08/01/2021 11:17

My midwife also explained that due to baby being small they don’t recommend listening at 16 weeks anymore but mine just asked if I wanted her to try anyway and I had to say I understood that not finding one doesn’t mean anything negative x

AlRRRR · 08/01/2021 11:19

@MarshallCleo Can you call your usual MW and explain how you’re feeling, I have my MW’s mobile and she said I could ring any time and leave a message and she’ll get back to me when she’s available.

MarshallCleo · 08/01/2021 11:41

@AIRRRR mine did say the same, I just didn't want to come across as being a moany one straight away so I've left it for now. I do understand from both perspectives on attempting to hear the hb, it was more the fact she ticked off all the things she was supposed to be speak about with me and signed it when she hadn't mentioned any! Cheeky.

Emmie12 · 08/01/2021 12:17

@MarshallCleo I am feeling quite nervous about my appointment - my midwife (who I never got to speak to) has left and they still don’t have a replacement. So I will be having a cover too. I had a tough time even scheduling the 16 weeks because I didn’t know who I was supposed to speak to. So been left feeling rather unsupported! X

AlRRRR · 08/01/2021 12:21

@MarshallCleo I am sure she wnt mind!
