@Sitchervice sorry to hear your going through similar, can you rest up and relax a bit?

I’ve been trying to rest as much as I can but it’s hard with an active 3yr old!

I hope all goes well on tuesday for you XX

BurningBenches · 06/12/2020 13:07

@viper84 and @sitchervice thinking of you both. It is probably no reassurance but the blood and the clot I lost on Tuesday was huge, followed by smaller ones as the day went on. I could not imagine how I could lose that much blood and baby be ok.

Good luck on Monday and Tuesday, I'm sorry you have not had the support xx

I’m around 11 weeks pregnant, I’m a Christmas temp at work and there is a very strong chance (touch wood) that I will be kept on and given a permanent position in January. By then I will be 16 weeks! I wear work uniform (T-shirt and trousers) and am worrying about how I’m supposed to hide it till then! I know it’s obviously illegal to get rid of someone whilst pregnant but I’m on a temporary contract anyway so if they find out I am before I get given a permanent contract there’s no way they will keep me on and I will be stuck! Any advice Confused

Hi everyone! Hope you don’t mind me jumping on the thread! Smile

First time mummy to be - baby due 1st June 2021. Anyone else suffering from the most disgusting pregnancy acne!? Feel like a teenager again!! Blush

Snally82 · 06/12/2020 20:25

@MummyLE congrats! First time for me too :) Due June 21st, 12 week scan tomorrow

MummyLE · 06/12/2020 20:42

Aw how exciting! Hope everything goes well for you! Have you seen the baby yet on private scans or not?

Snally82 · 06/12/2020 21:04

@MummyLE yes :) we had a viability scan at 6 week, and a scan when we had our NIPT test last Sunday! What about you?

MummyLE · 06/12/2020 21:13

I had one at 7 weeks, 2 at 9 weeks (I had quite bad cramps) and then the 12 week scan.

Clearly obsessed with seeing the baby Smile!

I'm going to sound really harsh, and I realise you want the permanent job but it's a bit of a dick move lying to management to get a job you'll be leaving in a few months for a year anyway. As a member of a management team, it is super frustrating. Had it done to us a couple of years ago. Got the job then the next week announced she was 15 weeks pregnant, she ended up only working for 13 weeks, left for maternity early, took the full year off then actually didn't bother coming back- we held her job open and struggled the entire time.

HOWEVER! As a pregnant woman who knows how bloody hard it is to get a job these days, I vote if you're happy to hide a little bump and it's safe for you to do so, then stick it out and get that contract before announcing. They will need to do a health and safety assessment and if needed, make adjustments. (They might not be too happy if it varies massively from the job you signed up to do...but that's not really your problem)

PinkPlantCase · 06/12/2020 22:00

Hi ladies, sorry I haven’t checked the tread as much this week.

Is anyone else starting to actually look quite pregnant? 13 + 5 and a very definite bump Grin

MummyLE · 06/12/2020 22:07

I have a tiny bump coming along! Not sure whether it’s lockdown weight or baby though!

Nesski · 07/12/2020 04:09

@PinkPlantCase I am with @mummyLE, however I have a rather large fibroid that sits on top of my uterus so that has been sticking out for what has felt like ages, waist is definitely thicker but just feel fat as opposed to preggers!! I am sad though, I hear so many first time mums not show until like week 20 and here I am at week 12 with a gut/bump.

Mackie2020 · 07/12/2020 08:10

I'm pretty sure my "bump" is just bloat! It feels/looks pretty flabby, although I've only put on 1lb so far in the second trimester. I also think it's bigger in the evening, which makes me think bloat.

Edelweiss2020 · 07/12/2020 08:20

No proper bump here yet, I can feel it kinda, and I have started to change shape a little bit. I am pretty tiny though so I think it’s going to take a little while. A few of my friends who are of a similar build took a fair while to start showing so I’m not too worried yet! Im 13+6.

Trying to decide whether to book a private 16 week scan or not. I’m not fussed about the gender really, husband is impatient to find out but we don’t mind either way. I’m just desperate to see baby again and make sure they’re doing okay! My anxiety calmed quite a bit after my 12 week scan but that little voice in my head is still saying ‘what if it’s not okay anymore’, even though logically everything is probably fine, and I still feel like trash so that’s also positive 😂 Pregnancy with anxiety is a fun game 🤦‍♀️

MummyLE · 07/12/2020 08:35

I know how you feel! Having a scan reassures me for a week or so and then the anxiety kicks again! Especially if I have a few days where my symptoms ease off. I’ve heard so many horror stories that I constantly think ‘what if?’.

I’ve had a few private scans though and I definitely think they’re worth the money for reassurance. Always a bonus to see little baba too Smile

PinkPlantCase · 07/12/2020 08:49

This is the ‘bump’ I don’t think it’s just bloat at it doesn’t vary much.

TTC1991 · 07/12/2020 08:54

12 week scan went well due date brought forward by one day (14/06/21) ... 20 week scan end of jan 😍

How many weeks are you?
PinkPlantCase · 07/12/2020 09:59

@MummyLE 13+6

First baby, every time I go for a scan I ask them to check there’s only 1 😂

SarahTTC2020 · 07/12/2020 10:09

Aw love hearing about the bumps.

I'm 14 weeks today and last few days have felt more of a bump in the evenings. Waist feels thicker and my belly is sticking out further than my boobs now despite losing a stone since getting pregnant!
I am overweight, size 14/16 so it is a bit hard to tell

MummyLE · 07/12/2020 10:18

@PinkPlantCase aw wow! You do have an early little bump! 😊

Lucky you! Can’t wait to get a proper bump. Will make everything feel so real! X

lucieloos · 07/12/2020 10:31

Oh my goodness my nipt test results are back 5 days earlier than expected!! What a scary phone call that was but it's all low risk!!!!! I really can't believe it. She said because of my age (41) my risk for Down's syndrome before the test was pretty high at 1/47 but now it's less than 1/10,000 and the same for the other 5 things that they tested for. I am so so relieved. And we found that that we are having.....a baby girl!!! What an amazing morning. We have our 12 week scan tomorrow morning and then hopefully we can relax for a little while 😊😊😊

Snally82 · 07/12/2020 10:56

@lucieloos Great news abs congrats on a baby girl! We’re sat in the hospital car park now waiting for a buzzer to go off to say they are ready for us! (12 week scan)

lucieloos · 07/12/2020 10:57

Good luck @Snally82 hope all goes well for you!
