@WensleydalewithCranberry welcome! How are you feeling? Not long to go for you until your due date. Have you got everything ready?

I can relate to being irritated sometimes I take it out on DH especially when I'm in a lot of discomfort and he's fast asleep snoring away 😂 not his fault but idk why it just irritates me. I've put it down to hormones too.

WensleydalewithCranberry · 20/11/2020 17:03

@LRHRN thank you for the welcome! Second baby, DD is 2.5, and don't know what we're having this time. DD was born at 39+4 but I know that doesn't really mean anything for this pregnancy although I am hoping for tomorrow...

@Asianchick6693 thank you! I feel like we're generally ready, feel fine really. In the day when we're covered in mud and the house needs sorting I feel various cramps and think "this is it! Hope we have time to finish dog walking and get home and clean" then by evening once we're showered and the house is reasonable it all goes away and I feel like the baby will likely stay put until 42 weeks 🙈

@danielasummer I'm sorry you are going through this and empathise completely. I still worry a lot about DD and she's a toddler now. She has an op coming up and it's on my mind a lot. I think worries and intrusive thoughts are very common but do keep talking about it and speak to your midwife as it's not nice at all and important to be aware of especially for after birth when you feel very vulnerable (I remember having lots of worries and intrusive thoughts just after birth although thankfully all manageable)

LRHRN · 20/11/2020 17:08

@WensleydalewithCranberry sorry I clearly didn't read your first post properly 🤦🏼‍♀️
My head is up my bum slightly at the minute 😂
Fingers crossed for tomorrow for you 💕

excitednerves · 20/11/2020 17:15

I think I’m just super on edge, every twinge or cramp is labour starting, every quiet spell means somethings wrong, everytime DH asks me to do something I’m super exhausted (lol), so many emotions and hormones and anxiety and just feeling ready to get this baby out.

lc86 · 20/11/2020 20:26

I keep thinking I want him to arrive and then I think no I'm not ready for that pain again yet! xx

kkr168 · 21/11/2020 08:10

@lc86 I'm the opposite & want labour to come asap, at least the pain goes as soon as the baby's out. At the moment I'm struggling with carpel tunnel, a bad back, babies feet constantly wedged in my ribs making me sit funny (probably what's causing my bad back) & knowing I could potentially still be like this for 3 weeks is hell.

@LRHRN best of luck with your induction today x

Welcome to the newbies x

I feel exactly the same!!! Word for word
Asianchick6693 · 21/11/2020 08:54

@LRHRN all the best for today lovely!

3rd night having contractions except I've been having them all through the night not progressing from having them once every hour. This is so exhausting. I don't really know what more I can do. Do you guys think this is a cause for concern? It's physically and mentally draining me because the pain is still significant. Would it be worth getting checked out?

LRHRN · 21/11/2020 09:06

Thanks Ladies, the nerves are kicking in slightly now 😬 I'm not scared of giving birth it's just because I'm not 100% sure of the process yet.

@Asianchick6693 I'd phone up and explain what's happening and just ask for advice.
Are you still feeling baby move? Doesn't need to be a certain amount of times just what's normal for you and baby.
Hopefully it's early labour and things will happen very soon. As far as I'm aware BH contractions shouldn't really hurt and are totally irregular and will subside if you change position whilst having one xxx

Babyhope98 · 21/11/2020 09:10

Good luck @LRHRN 💕

Asianchick6693 · 21/11/2020 09:13

@LRHRN I think it's natural to be nervous, not too long now until your LO is here!

Baby does move, contractions seem more painful when she does. That's the problem, they're not regular really like they're roughly about an hour apart and sometimes they're every 30 minutes there's just no pattern to them. Sometimes so painful other times, painful but not as intense. I don't know what to do because it feels like one way it sounds like early labour but then if that's the case why aren't things progressing or losing mucus plug etc. It feels very very longed out :(

PipTed · 21/11/2020 09:29

Good luck @LRHRN - so exciting you’ll have your baby so, so soon! ❤️

Thought things were ramping up a bit last night as I was getting some stronger sensations - like in my cervix area- but they’ve not really amounted to anything. Just trying to trust the process and seeing any sign as a good indicator that things are progressing.

@Asianchick6693 I would just call triage and see if it’s normal, it probably is just a long drawn out latent phase. But worth checking. 😊

LRHRN · 21/11/2020 10:03

@Asianchick6693 not everyone loses their mucus plug before labour so I wouldn't worry too much about that.
It's worth just checking then at least you know either way and it will put your mind at ease xx

LRHRN · 21/11/2020 10:05

@Asianchick6693 I was in early stage with my last daughter for 6weeks. 2cm dilated and contracting regular but nothing was happening. I lost the plug 2 days before I gave birth and that was on her due date.

Babyhope98 · 21/11/2020 10:25

Just spoke with the midwife as my liver levels haven’t gone down for a while now, I will have further blood tests next week but if they’re still the same I will be induced next Saturday on my due date. I hope she comes before then naturally, but if not it means I haven’t got long to wait now 😆💖

LRHRN · 21/11/2020 10:32

Hopefully the liver levels don't cause too much of an issue but Yey @Babyhope98 not long then 😬 it's all very exciting xxx

viixie · 21/11/2020 10:33

Anyone gone in with reduced movements before? I always worry about hassling them. Currently 36+3. This little one has never been a big mover anyway and to be honest I do struggle to find a pattern. However, she normally moves in bed before the alarm which she didn't yesterday morning and I'm sure I felt her during the day but was busy but in the evening when I sit on the sofa she normally has a good fidget but didn't. I felt a few light movements but not as strong as normal. Same this morning a light movement or two. I'm hoping it's just a change in position or something. I'm just having a bath and guessing I'll need to phone in 😬

danielasummer · 21/11/2020 10:37

@viixie I've been in 3 times with reduced movements. I absolutely would phone in. They are so reassuring and always tell me that they'd rather I go in every day and it be fine than not go in and something be wrong. Let us know how you get on x

danielasummer · 21/11/2020 10:43

@Asianchick6693 thank you so much for your reply and I'm sorry you're feeling this way too. I definitely will speak to my midwife about this, our next appt is at 39 weeks, which is a week on Monday. It just seems to come out of nowhere then I panic so much and swear I haven't felt him/her move for a while when really I have and I've just got no concept of time! My husband is good at reassuring me but honestly now I just feel like I want him/her out so I know they are safe. x

@Babyhope98 I think it's a mother's protective instinct really kicking in isn't it... I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriages, you're right it does seem so unreal so be so close, it feels almost too good to be true and that surely something could go wrong. I'm so glad to hear your baby was fine after monitoring. They do like to scare us don't they x

@LRHRN I definitely think it has something to do with hormones as I've been so positive and tried to be so chilled throughout. Now I'm a panicked mess! Thinking of you today, do update us when you can! x

@WensleydalewithCranberry hi, welcome to the group x thank you for your reply, I hope everything goes well with your little girl's op and sending you loads of positive wishes. I guess I need to get used to worrying about little one as I'm sure it doesn't completely ease when they are here, earth-side! But I will definitely mention it to my midwife at our next appt. When is your little one due? x

Nic2908 · 21/11/2020 11:28

@LRHRN good luck for today. What time are you going in??

viixie · 21/11/2020 11:51

@danielasummer thankyou I phoned thanks. Anyone else's triage refer them locally now? I was expecting to have to go the hospital but I've got to see the midwife at my GP surgery at 1

PipTed · 21/11/2020 11:55

@viixie I went in for reduced movements just over a week ago and it was a no questions asked kind of thing-they just said to come in and they’ll hook me up! Everything was ok in the end!

The midwife did say that if I went in again with reduced movements at this stage (I was 38 weeks + 1) they would need to review things, but not sure if that’s because I am classed as term and could possible imply distress. Assume the review would be to perhaps offer induction or something.

But if you’ve never been in, i don’t think they’ll do that (unless there’s an issue -sure there won’t be) and they’re super nice! I even got a brew! X

viixie · 21/11/2020 12:20

@PipTed I just find it odd I'm being seen at my GP surgery

LRHRN · 21/11/2020 12:23

@viixie I've been 3 times with reduced movements hence why I'm being induced early today. Don't leave it. If it's not normal for you phone them xx

LRHRN · 21/11/2020 12:24

@Nic2908 I've got to be there for 2pm so probably won't have a baby until tomorrow but I'll keep you all updated xxx
