@LRHRN sounds like it’s systems go! I would maybe phone the maternity ward and let them know what’s happening if you think you’re waters have broken (sounds like it!) soo exciting! Xx

peachypetite · 17/11/2020 22:19

@PipTed I don’t blame you, no way I’d tell mine either! Would just rather announce the birth!

NaomiB79 · 17/11/2020 23:21

@Pinktruffle just catching up on the thread now, huge congratulations on the birth of your beautiful baby boy 💙. You will find yourself just staring for hours in wonder at him xx

LRHRN · 18/11/2020 06:24

@kkr168 28th but I'm being induced Saturday.
The pains have eased off in intensity and I have leaked a slight bit so I'm going to phone my midwife this morning and just check with her.
It literally made a very slight pop sound and then trickled out maybe enough to fill a cup and when I looked in the toilet was totally clear so I don't think it was wee.
I shall keep you updated xx

LRHRN · 18/11/2020 06:54

@PipTed hahaha no, they were a waste of money 😂 just trying to get through to the PAU now

jalu47 · 18/11/2020 07:12

Good luck @LRHRN hope all goes well!

Has anyone else suffered with seriously itchy soles of their feet? I'm being monitored for cholestasis but liver function seems to be ok for now. However the itching is actually driving me insane, not sure I can cope with a few more weeks of this. Slept for about 3 hrs last night... any tips would be much appreciated!!

loobeelou · 18/11/2020 07:12

@LRHRN that sounds like how mine went with DS. Best of luck x

EithneBlue · 18/11/2020 07:58

@jalu47 - you're going to think I'm mad for suggesting this but have you tried putting vicks vaporub on your feet before bed? (Normally I would suggest tiger balm but can't find a reliable source for whether that's ok in pregnancy although it probably is fine) -- something about the way that it burns/tingles slightly on the skin stops itching for a little while :-)

Kj1010 · 18/11/2020 08:42

Morning all still overwhelmed at the thought I could be having a csection in few weeks also overwhelmed that I have been offered having my tubes tied at same time and I have to make a decision by the 1st so they can put it on the csection form sounds mad but I know I deffo dont want anymore kids 42 with 3 already then this little one but just the thought of if I do it theres no going back scares hell out of me lol but I know 100% no more babies after

Asianchick6693 · 18/11/2020 08:46

Morning everyone, once again haven't been on here in a while but I have a feeling either my labour is round the corner or it's going to make its way over the next couple of days. I'm 37+3 but had awful back pains which radiated towards the front and my belly hardened. Did this 3 times last night and since have had non stop period type cramps. Also just had diarrhoea which they say could mean labour is on its way. Haven't rung the MWs yet as nothing feels established but I'm going to try get some sleep before it all kicks off because I didn't sleep a wink last night! I'll keep you guys posted, could be nothing for the moment too but just have a gut feeling!

PipTed · 18/11/2020 08:51

@LRHRN good to be prepared though and maybe you can use them for emergency changing mats soon! Keeping everything crossed! X

peachypetite · 18/11/2020 08:59

@Asianchick6693 that does sound like things are progressing for you too. Definitely try and get some rest! Good luck.

lc86 · 18/11/2020 09:13

@LRHRN please make sure you call your midwife or triage, as if it's your waters you will probably need to be induced 24 hours after they've gone if you haven't gone into natural labour due to the risk of infection. My waters went on both my previous pregnancies and luckily I went into natural labour a few hours later but both times was booked in for 24 hours later in case I hadn't xx

This! You definitely need to get checked.

jalu47 · 18/11/2020 09:32

Thanks @EithneBlue - I'm literally willing to try anything!! Heading to the pharmacy shortly so they can give me everything possible!

LRHRN · 18/11/2020 09:47

@peachypetite @lc86 currently hooked up to monitors and baby's HR is really high, they can't be sure wether my waters have broken as my cervix is behind her head as her head is slow low. They said everything seems wet but are happy to send me home to see if anything more happens today and I've got to come straight back if I have any more leakages or gushes. So we shall see, at the moment still booked in for induction on Saturday but baby is back to back so need to get her moving x

lc86 · 18/11/2020 10:07

@LRHRN how frustrating for you not knowing!! I'm glad you went in, hopefully you can relax a bit more at home and at least you know Saturday things will start moving along ☺️ fingers crossed things start before then for you x

EithneBlue · 18/11/2020 10:59

@LRHRN - baby is certainly keeping you on your toes there! Fingers crossed she gets moving soon!

... my boobs have not leaked once during pregnancy... Today I have a nasty, crusty t shirt 😳

Asianchick6693 · 18/11/2020 12:11

@peachypetite I ended up ringing MWs for some advice. They said could be start of labour but to look out for the obvious longer, more painful and frequent contractions. I've had a warm shower and taken some paracetamol and things seem to have sort of settled. Just feeling low on energy. Have zero appetite today as well! Honestly can't tell at this point. I've told my mum and stuff so I hope they don't get their hopes up too high only to be disappointed lol!

peachypetite · 18/11/2020 12:20

@Asianchick6693 try to eat something, even if just something light, you might need your energy soon.

@EithneBlue I leaked a couple of times in trimester 2, nothing since then!

LRHRN · 18/11/2020 13:00

Back home now ladies, bouncing on my ball.
Baby is back to back so is more than likely the reason things aren't progressing quickly. My daughter was back to back and I was 2cm dilated from 34weeks and spent 6 weeks with strong contractions (she came on her due date)
Midwife is happy for me to stay at home and look for any obvious signs as I'm back in on Saturday for induction

viixie · 18/11/2020 13:56

@LRHRN how did your back to back labour go with your daughter? Mine was awful. Will do anything to turn this one

LRHRN · 18/11/2020 14:41

@viixie absolutely horrendous!!
I had contractions for 6 weeks and went into established labour (4cm) on the 27th at 5pm and gave birth on the 29th at 6.10pm
I swore I'd never have another baby again and low and behold this girl is following suit 😭

The worse mistake I made and my midwives let me make was lying down because once I was flat I couldn't move as my body felt like it was in half, I've told my husband this time to try and keep me upright as much as possible even if I threaten to break his nose 😂😂 it's in my birth plan too

Asianchick6693 · 18/11/2020 15:56

@LRHRN wow can contractions go on for that long? I've been getting them on and off since last nice just had about 2 in the last hour. I just feel extremely tired. Everyone keeps checking up on me, feel like I probably still have a long long way to go. They're also not unbearable, but painful nevertheless.

LRHRN · 18/11/2020 16:07

Unfortunately yes @Asianchick6693 and mine weren't doing anything. I'd be hooked up to the monitors and they would show that they were intense but not long enough to be changing my cervix. It wasn't nice.
