Hi everyone

So I found out last week I’m expecting around July 2021. Currently 4 weeks + 5. YAY!

So excited and still in total shock but I feel any little pain/cramp somethings wrong and I already feel like the first trimester is going to drag because of the nerves.

No one actually knows I’m pregnant yet apart from my OH but it would be lovely to chat to anyone in the same situation for reassurance and make some new mummy friends for this incredible journey.

💙💗

Me! I'm 4+5/6 - not sure 🙈 So may have the same due date.

Congrats! I'm still in shock, came off the pill end of September after 12 years so really wasn't expecting anything any time soon.

I told myself I wasn't too fussed but now its happened I'm all panicked that something bad is gonna happen. My OH is desperate to tell our parents already (he's mega excited) but I'm wanting to wait until having a scan. I'm considering having a private one around 10 weeks maybe?

How long have you known? I've known a week and my god has it draggggeeeedddd

July21Baby · 02/11/2020 08:47

@AlexandraB2021 congratulations!!! Haha so yours was very quick!

I get cramps quite a few times in the day but I also think it could be in my head as I am a massive over thinker! Haha my OH is the opposite. He wants to wait till Christmas and I’m thinking no bloody way!

I found out last week and totally agree with it dragging! I can’t sleep as I’m so excited to get to the next day haha.

I’ve booked an early scan just to prove there’s a baby in there. Il be 7+5 then.

Look up window to the womb. They’re all over the place xx

Hey I’m 5+4 and due 30th June! I too only came off the pill end of september after being on the pill for 6 years and got pregnant straight away, which left me in shock for a few days! i only did a test because i felt moody haha and was a few days late.
It’s definitely sunk in abit more now and i have booked a scan at window to the womb this sunday (i will then be 6+4) which i think will make me feel better seeing that something is there! (hopefully) .. but i’m so excited! xx

Jodiexxx · 02/11/2020 10:05

Also congratulations all! 🥰

MamaToBeOMG · 02/11/2020 10:07

Hi im 24 weeks now and due 19th of feb after being told i couldnt have kids it was defo a shock. Ive also got autisum and a few health problems so yeah i was overly worried and i guess i still am now thinking is she kicking enough or what what that pain but i think thats quite normal to be honest. I even wanted a elec c sec at the start but ive now changed my mind and opted for a water birth (lets hope i get one) try not to worry to much and just think about your future child and think about what your going to buy them and how to set up your home it defo helps i wanted to go to prenantal classes but hello lockdown so i just talk to mums on here and that helps to i hope all goes well for you x

AlexandraB2021 · 02/11/2020 10:08

Oooh thanks for the tip, I've just checked them out and gonna go for a dating scan i think at like 9.

It doesn't feel real because nobody else knows and I also haven't had any symptoms at all, have you?

Although another lockdown is awful in a way I'm glad as it will allow me to keep it quiet from friends (I love a drink and it will be instantly obvious if I start refusing a glass of wine 🙈).

Luckyelephant1 · 02/11/2020 11:38

Hi can I join? Congrats all! I'm due around 11th July so I'm 4+(2 or 3 as different apps say different things Confused) and it's my first one.

I'm cautiously happy but also very anxious, keep googling to double check if I can eat a certain thing. I've also taken 1 or 2 cheapo tests every day since I found out on Friday just to check the line is still there/darkening and I keep expecting to come on my period any time now! I basically have no symptoms yet except feeling a tad more tired than usual.

Defo going to book an early scan before the 12 week one but not sure when is best. I don't want to do it too early for fear of not seeing much but not sure I can hold out so long either. I'm thinking around 9-10 weeks?

Jodiexxx · 02/11/2020 11:41

@AlexandraB2021 yeah i totally agree on the lockdown, it will be easier to hide it. The only symptoms i have are needing to pee often, really sore nipples and more tired than usual.. people keep telling me that the sickness starts from 6 weeks.. did you find that @MamaToBeOMG ? - congratulations also 🥰 x

olivetreemumtobe · 02/11/2020 12:55

Hi! I think I’m due on 30th June (according to the calculator on the NHS website). I came off the pill at the very end of August and let my body have a normal period in September before TTC from early October. I never thought for a moment that it would all happen so quickly!

I’m terrified to be honest. My husband is over the moon and I feel like I’m bringing him down a bit with all of my worries. It took about a week to get over the shock and it’s starting to feel more real now. We’ve decided not to tell anyone until we’ve had a scan.

I called my doctors when I found out but they said they don’t deal with pregnancy anymore, I had to fill in a form online and a midwife will get back to me. I’m still waiting to hear.

My BMI is 30 on the dot and I’m worried that I’m not taking enough folic acid (if you have a high BMI you are supposed to take a higher dosage) but it’s available by prescription only. I’m not really sure what to do about that, any suggestions?

Illy603 · 02/11/2020 13:11

Hi all and Congrats!!!
I got my positive last Wednesday, was not expecting it at all, just thought my constant crying at absolutely everything was due to AF on her way 😂 Over the moon though! I think I’m around 6 weeks but will need to wait for a scan to confirm, I might book a private one for the end of the month as I’m not sure I can honestly wait until mid December to see anything!

We aren’t telling anyone until after the 12 week scan, so thinking Christmas Eve as I won’t be able to hide it once the family start wondering why I’m not accepting a glass of wine!

I worry constantly in the morning as I have no symptoms. But the nausea hits me so bad in the early evening, lucky as I only work mornings and can definitely deal with the lack of sleep better than being sick!

It’s good to have somewhere like this to chat to people going through the same since I can’t just phone my mum or friends.

July21Baby · 02/11/2020 13:34

Congratulations to you all.

We haven’t told anyone yet but just had a team meeting in work about lockdown and working from home. He’s given us the option but would rather us in the office. In two minds to tell my boss I’m expecting as I’d rather work from home for the next couple of months to protect baby. Views?xx

Congratulations everyone!! I'm currently 9 weeks, have been worrying like mad since about 6 weeks. I'm not usually an overthinker but it hasn't helped that we aren't telling anyone (other than my parents) and every slight twinge I'm panicking! Have had horrible nausea for the last 2 weeks and could close my eyes all day every day...Ive missed my chance to have a private scan now but I would really go for it if you can!

olivetreemumtobe · 02/11/2020 15:03

Could you perhaps just say that you feel more comfortable working from home for now? I’m trying to hold off telling my employer until at least the 12 week scan.
Emj1993 · 02/11/2020 16:30

Congratulations everyone! Smile

Thought I’d join in as well, I’m 5 weeks today, or actually I think I’m actually 6 weeks! It’s difficult to figure out for me as I came off the pill on the 26th September, took a pregnancy test on the 18th October and it was negative, but then took one on 25th October and it was positive (so I think I was 4 weeks when I took my positive test!)

I haven’t had periods for years and didn’t have one before getting pregnant - I thought it would take months but pretty much happened straight away haha so I don’t know what they’re going to go off as my LMP Hmm

Think I may get an early scan but not sure when...can anyone recommended when to get one? My first midwife appointment isn’t even until 1st December and I don’t think I can wait until mid December/end of December for a scan - I’m too impatient haha!

July21Baby · 02/11/2020 19:39

@Emj1993 congratulations hun!

Oh wow yes that's a hard one to work out haha. You may have to wait until you see someone to determine your DD.

I have booked in for an early scan at 7 weeks with 'Window to the Womb'. Have a look online as they have quite a few places all over xxx

@July21Baby thanks lovely, congrats to you too! I honestly thought it would take us months to get pregnant, not weeks so was expecting AF before that happened, but ah well haha! It’s been a lovely surprise Smile

Amazing thank you! There’s one not far from me so think I’ll book one of them in too, hopefully by the end of November I’ll be far enough along see something Smile xx

MamaToBeOMG · 02/11/2020 21:52

Cressie2 · 03/11/2020 15:09

Hi @July21Baby, congratulations! I am also 5 weeks pregnant and due in July 2021. Have also had the odd few hours of cramping here and there too but booked an early scan for reassurance at the end of Nov. Let me know how you get on Smile

@Cressie2 congratulations hun!

How exciting! Yes will do! You too. Where did you book?

Have you heard from your midwife yet? Or got an appointment for bloods?xx

@July21Baby
Thank you! I used Ultrasound Direct

www.ultrasound-direct.com/mobile/babybond-pregnancy-scans/early-scan/

Had a telephone GP appointment today and have to self refer to my local midwife team who will be in touch about bloods and scans. What about you? When are you going to tell your mum and dad, OH’s parents? Told mine this week and they were mega shocked! X

July21Baby · 04/11/2020 08:21

@Cressie2 very exciting! The days will drag till then now!

Yes I had to refer myself to my local hospital and the midwife rang me two days later and I’m all booked in. My other friend is 8 weeks pregnant and hasn’t heard a thing!

Well I was planning on telling my family this weekend but now lockdown has happened we can’t Angry. So maybe in a couple of weeks once everything has died down and we have scan photos. My OH is in no rush as he’s nervous which is killing me!!!xx

@July21Baby hi hope its ok for me to join in this group. I found out on sunday im pregnant after 10 months of trying. Im 4weeks + 5days. So extremely early. First baby and very very much wanted. My husband is an only child so we decided we would tell just our parents. My inlaws are so so excited. My parents are too but they have grandkids so its not as exciting for them lol.

I have really tender boobs. The only symptom so far. I kind of wish the sickness would start so i can feel reassured that i really am pregnant lol still in shock i guess. We booked an early private scan with 'window to the womb' at 8weeks. So more or less have another 3weeks to go. The days are dragging in so much. I cant help but feel so terrified at this being taken away from us. Constantly checking for blood everytime i pee🙈 please tell me im not the only one?

Congratulations to everyone on their bfp's and a happy & healthy 9months to us all 🙏 xxx

July21Baby · 04/11/2020 08:43

@marsvar28 first of all, massive congratulations 🥳

I know exactly how you feel. I even said this morning I wish I could get some more sickness as I don’t feel pregnant at all. I’ve also booked a scan with window to the womb and il be 7+4 but my god will it drag!

Just so desperate for reassurance xxx
