Hi everyone!

2 days ago i found out I was expecting baby number 2! Super excited but as we all know the first trimester is not easy and I really found it helpful to have other women going through the same thing to chat to at this crazy and difficult time!

Would love to chat to some of you guys due around the same time! ❤️

@Char1803 Oh goodness sorry to hear about the sweating. IBS is tricky. A couple of weeks ago I kept thinking that I was having a contraction and losing the wee one but then I started lightly rubbing the sides of my belly up and down and then I could feel the air move... I am past feeling embarrassed about this. hahaha I read yesterday that lying down on your left side can help with wind too. I can't remember the site but it was reputable.

Don't forget to eat a good balance of protein. I don't love fish but I definitely have less air when I eat shrimp, cod, salmon. Just makes sure it is low in mercury and nothing raw. I think because the fish is either low fat or healthy fat and high in protein. I am considered high risk so I got an early scan and got to see the sac last week! It doesn't seem real! Sometimes I don't feel like anything is going on but my doctor confirmed that is normal for symptoms to come and go.

rusticpink · 11/11/2020 09:57

Just received confirmation of my 12 week scan which will be on Christmas eve 🤗 also a relief that someone is allowed to attend with me so my partner can come! I would assume it will be the same at all hospitals xx

MaryLola · 11/11/2020 13:31

@Char1803 oh that's promising. How lovely to get to see baba on Christmas Eve 🎄

MegsJane2793 · 11/11/2020 13:47

Luckylola12 · 11/11/2020 15:07

@char1803 why is it so painful! I really didnt know it was a symptom either! It was actually what made me test...i had it really bad before my positibe test. Not having it as often now but when it happens....ouch!
Also congrats!

Char1803 · 11/11/2020 15:25

@Luckylola12 I know its really horrible. A few weeks ago we were at a restaurant and I had to go and sit on the toilet almost in tears because of it 🤣🙈

bubblybrit · 14/11/2020 17:46

Hi...I hope you don’t mind me joining...I’ve just found out today that I’m pregnant with baby number 2!

Feel a little she’ll shocked as only came off the pill in August and wasn’t actively trying. I was hoping that my cycles would regulate over the next few months with a view to start TTC early 2021....guess that didn’t work out!

Seems that I am around 7 weeks (at least that’s my estimate from the date of my first period after coming off the pill). Due date would be early July but I’ll need to get all that confirmed...planning to call on Monday to book initial appointment and then I’m also planning on getting the NIPT once I reach 10 weeks.

I can’t believe it’s al happened so quickly. Took around 8 months to conceive our first baby 😬

h164 · 14/11/2020 19:04

Hi everyone, hope you don’t mind me joining! I’m currently 6+6, found out on 23 October I was pregnant with first baby after waking up with strange taste in my mouth and deciding to do a test. We had been trying for 2 years so felt massively overwhelmed when I saw pregnant come up on the clear blue test! So sent DH to get a mix of different brand tests to be sure.
Feeling so nauseous all day, every day.. other than that it feels so surreal! How does everyone else feel? X

DUE JULY 2021
bubblybrit · 14/11/2020 19:41

Hi @h164. I’m feeling good at the moment thanks. My symptoms are tiredness, light cramping and sensitive boobs! No nausea so far....touch wood! I didn’t get nausea with my first baby but appreciate that this might change. Hope your nausea isn’t too bad and that it passes quickly. Congrats on your first pregnancy 😀

JK20 · 14/11/2020 20:02

Hi all,
I think I'm 4 weeks 5 days... Hoping all goes well for everyone but like you all, I have my worries! 😬

h164 · 14/11/2020 20:39

Thanks @dippyegg32 I’ve just joined x

Verrucapepper · 14/11/2020 20:52

Hi all, am 5 weeks today due 19th. This is baby #2. Is anyone having Harmony test?

bubblybrit · 14/11/2020 21:16

@Verrucapepper. Congrats 😀 yeah I’ll be having the harmony test. I had it with my DD and it put my mind at ease so worth the money to me and DH. Going to call on Monday to book an appointment although will need to wait a few weeks until I at least reach 10 week!

Lala4 · 14/11/2020 22:09

Yeh, I've booked a harmony test but I'll be 12.5 weeks by then... I have a private scan booked at 9 weeks too. Still early days though and this will be #1 so although we're over the moon, we're anxious!

Verrucapepper · 15/11/2020 09:09

Researching Harmony showed a more detailed test called Vision, anyone had that?
