Hi everyone!

2 days ago i found out I was expecting baby number 2! Super excited but as we all know the first trimester is not easy and I really found it helpful to have other women going through the same thing to chat to at this crazy and difficult time!

Would love to chat to some of you guys due around the same time! ❤️

@hobbschelsea18 I also have booked an early scan for 22nd November. Will be 7+2 so hoping the same but feel so nervous.

This was my first month TTC with baby #1 so I think I just feel like we have been so lucky and it was so easy that something has to go wrong 😔

How is everyone feeling? I've only had extremely sore boobs and tiredness and extreme wind/constipation but I suffer from IBS so expected it worse than most. Luckily no sickness or anything yet for me 🤞

MgW1 · 04/11/2020 19:40

Hi
Just had a faint positive , AF due Friday so fingers crossed I can join properly, just waiting to test again friday. I hope I get a stronger positive 🤞🏻 will be due 14th July ish - hopefully something to look forward after a pretty crap year thanks to covid!! Had a mc in August and got 2 older children 6&4 xx

MStaff20 · 04/11/2020 20:51

Hey everybody. I got my positive Sunday and I’m due with my first on 14 July

hobbschelsea18 · 05/11/2020 11:19

Congratulations to the newcomers 😊 how’re you both feeling? @MgW1 and @MStaff20 x x

MgW1 · 05/11/2020 11:24

Did you all do tests with first response tests ? I am due AF tomorrow and got 2 faint positives with internet cheapies yesterday. Just had a bad headache for about 4 days and very tired yesterday xx

hobbschelsea18 · 05/11/2020 11:31

Hi @MgW1 my AF was a day late I had a rather bizarre experience, I purchased a £1 test from my Pharmacy it was negative and only when I was going to dispose of it I noticed it was positive. Same thing happened again, another £1 test so I purchased a Tesco test and the lines were faint, I wasn’t sure if they were evap lines or a positive. The following day I did a Clear Blue and it showed as 1-2 weeks, I did another Clear Blue the day after and it was 2-3 x

severusfox · 05/11/2020 11:35

Quick jump on - am I right to assume this is positive? If so, due July 15th - no symptoms as of yet 🙈

hobbschelsea18 · 05/11/2020 11:40

Hi @severusfox looks positive to me 😊 Congratulations!!

I’m due July 5 and other than bigger boobs, a bit of tiredness and eating lots I don’t have any symptoms either.

Xx

severusfox · 05/11/2020 11:43

I didn't even have a bump until 8 months with my first 😂 so I'm not expecting much..

That wasn't done with FMU so I'm gonna get a CB later on, do it in the morning and then tell DH - who will be delighted

First go at trying so really pleased 💜

Sending good vibes xxx

MgW1 · 05/11/2020 11:51

@hobbschelsea18
Well i have some of the one step cheap flimsey one from ebay and looked at reviews and people say only gets darker days after their AF due. Last time I was preg I tested a full week late , this time I am too inpatient! X

04millie08 · 05/11/2020 13:56

hobbschelsea18 · 05/11/2020 14:06

04millie08 · 05/11/2020 14:13

I'm fine just still in shock lol! Had a funny feeling I was as my nipples where really itchy and I can smell everything from a mile off! X

MaryLola · 05/11/2020 14:41

I got my BFP last night and totally shocked as well @04Millie08. Just doesn't feel real yet. Rang GP this morning but they only take emergency apts today so will try again tomorrow. This is my first time so have no idea what to expect, v nervous. No real symptoms atm.

Hopefulmummie · 05/11/2020 14:41

Hope everyone doing ok today.
I had a call from the midwife earlier just checking about the dates I've put on my self referral form as she thought it was too early for me to have a missed period.
Not sure why as AF was due yesterday.

She said my 12 week scan will more than likely be after Christmas so thinking I will definitely book a private one

04millie08 · 05/11/2020 15:04

This will be my 3rd pregnancy I have two daughters aged 15 and 7. I suffered really badly from hyperemesis gravidarum last time I'm hoping i won't this time!

MaryLola · 05/11/2020 15:32

@04millie08 so did my mum with all her pregnancies so hoping its not hereditary. I read somewhere it affect younger mums so hopefully won't affect me

04millie08 · 05/11/2020 15:37

Really ah well hopefully il not get it this time round im 34 now!

Janeenmcx · 05/11/2020 15:48

Hey

I am having baby No 2 due in July 2021 :)
Whilst TTC I decided to purchase seven seas omega -3 fish oil plus cod liver oil . I have now since read that taking cod liver oil is dangerous is pregnancy . I know I am early but it is really stressing me out and would love some reassurance.

Hopefulmummie · 05/11/2020 19:22

Does anyone know much about clear blue digital weeks tests? According to my lmp I should be 4+1 so I done a clear blue digital today and it showed pregnant 2-3 weeks when it should've only shown 1-2? I'm confused

MrsBac83 · 05/11/2020 20:13

Hi all Smile Congratulations to you all X

I got a BFP on Sunday with baby #2. Have been trying (or not preventing at least) for nearly 2 years so was quite a relief. Praying everything goes smoothly. Due 10th July.

I had been going to Docs about pelvic pain which I've been having all year and have an internal scan tomorrow for that. Hoping they can see baby while they're there for a bit of reassurance. Although still early days.

Where do you go to get early scans? Are they expensive? I might look into it.

I did a self referral to the local midwife teams here on Monday but not heard anything back yet. Not sure if I should chase them to get booking in apt sorted?

Hopefulmummie · 05/11/2020 20:37

@MrsBac83 congratulations :) I'm due around 14th July so we are probably similar dates.

That's good you are gettin internal scan for some reassurance hopefully everything is ok.

I am going to book window to the womb for my private scan they get really good reviews. Most scans are £69. I had a bad experience with another clinic with my ectopic pregnancy so won't be going there

MrsBac83 · 05/11/2020 21:24

Thanks.

I just had a look at local places that do early scans. Might looks into it. Don't think I could wait until after Christmas!!

MaryLola · 05/11/2020 21:29

I'm going to book private scan too, hoping DH can come as it's our first and I'm not sure he's allowed to come to the NHS scan.

Hopefulmummie · 05/11/2020 22:49

@MaryLola yeah private clinic still allow partners.. my partner was allowed and early scan in previous pregnancy and that was at the height of lockdown
