@SunnySideUp2020 @Whiffle77 @Annny27 we did have a good Christmas thank you, it was just the 4 of us which was very strange but lovely! The girls had kept us awake ALL of Xmas eve though as we abandoned the shift routine in order for us all to be together..... big mistake haha as none of us got any sleep! In general we're doing well... some days we feel like things are going well and then other days (most days 🤣) the girls take it in turns to be awake, all household tasks get abandoned and we stay in our pyjamas on the sofa all day surviving on whatever ready meal we have in the freezer 🙈. It's bloody hard work but of course I feel like the luckiest mummy in the world and I am loving it.

Sounds like everything is going well for you Sunny! Glad the itching has stopped - that must've been a nightmare!

That's amazing Whiffle! So happy for you that he's feeding from you again and that he's gaining weight ❤️ must have been so nice to have DH home for Xmas too. Our girls are more fussy in the evening too. What's that all about - how do they know the time?! 😆

2021 is your year Anny - I know it ❤️❤️❤️

MilsCookie · 30/12/2020 17:57

@SunnySideUp2020 we were given some ready made bottles by the hospital as the girls have to be on this special formula for premature babies, and the expiry date is 20/4/2021.... so 4 months ish from when we were given it. You might be alright if you get some now?

Annny27 · 30/12/2020 18:06

@milscookie when I read just the 4 of us and I immediately thought awwh her parents were over but then I realised it was your girls!! Haha crazy how you have gone straight from 2 to 4! 🥰🥰

I really hope its my year, been waiting long enough 🤣

MilsCookie · 30/12/2020 18:14

@Annny27 haha I know - it's absolutely mad!! I still can't believe I've had twins... would never have thought it this time last year!!

You really have been waiting far too long and it's just not fair. What's the latest for you and DH, have you had/are you having any more tests? I know it must be so frustrating for you because it's happened before so you must be thinking why isn't it happening! I literally cannot wait for the day you announce your BFP!! ❤️

Annny27 · 30/12/2020 20:48

My husband has another sperm analysis in January and hopefully his numbers have improved (he has low count and morphology) and then we both have a fertility appointment in February where perhaps they will recommend ivf as its male factor? Hopefully we catch naturally as I'd like to avoid rhe stress if we can 🤞🤞

I dont know why but I just had a feeling from the start that I would be one of the last to get their bfps - just had a feeling like I needed to support everyone else and then it gets to be my turn haha! Who knows why :p

Annny27 · 30/12/2020 20:48

Sorry meant to tag you @MilsCookie

MilsCookie · 31/12/2020 07:05

It's good to have the wheels in motion as they say, but I will keep wishing for you that your BFP happens naturally! I know so many people (in real life! 😄) at the moment either going through IVF or who have just conceived through IVF. It seems more and more common and successful so if that is the route you end up going down I am sure it will happen for you. I hope your DH isn't too hard on himself knowing that about his sperm. Fingers crossed they have improved at his next SA.
That's funny you had a feeling, and my god have you been supportive! You have been there for so many of us 💖 After everything you've been through and are still going through, it amazes me how positive and supportive you continue to be to everyone ❤️ You deserve your BFP so much, and your baby will be so loved when the time comes. And it will! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

MilsCookie · 31/12/2020 07:06

BecsterG · 01/01/2021 08:00

Happy Nee Year ladies! What an amazing thread we have had over the past year. Can't wait for those still on the ttc board to join us. You guys deserve it. Hang in there! 💪🏻 For the ladies due this year, exciting it's getting so close. For those with their rainbow babies, I hope you had a good first Christmas and first New Year with them. 2020 was a strange year but also a great one for us as we welcomed our gorgeous baby Jude into the world who's just a wee dream. 💙

My husband was working last night as he was off at Christmas so it was just me and my boys who were both tucked up asleep for 7:15 so I had a nice quiet night.

All the best for 2021 to all of you and your family's. ❤️💕💙

Thanks for the list @SunnySideUp2020 😍

I feel like I might explode haha! Pretty uncomfortable! Have had sporadic pains and twinges for a few weeks now, so hoping it’s all my body gearing up for the main event 🤞🏻 I’m so impatient haha!

How’s everyone doing? Happy new year! ❤️

Leok83 · 01/01/2021 09:32

Thanks @SunnySideUp2020

And happy New Years everyone!!🎉🎉

Annny27 · 01/01/2021 17:15

@milscookie thank you lovely 💗 at first he was a little sad that it was his sperm but also a problem with him is a better solution I think as its more easily resolved :)

Can't believe @fizzl is 15 weeks now!!

ChampooPapi · 01/01/2021 19:17

Thank you for all your kind and thoughtful posts ladies, they mean so much to me especially when I'm frazzled and feeling a bit of a deer in the headlights. This is an intense time! 8 week Vaccinations Monday, actually looking forward to ticking those off, and it's a day out 😂

@TerribleImagination can't wait to see your update, any day now really, amazing!💃👣🥰

@SunnySideUp2020 you are practically in your third trimester! It feels like last week you were joining the group here tentatively from our conception thread. Really the time from now is going to fly, but you seem prepared and organised, your going to do great 💜

scrumdiddly123 · 01/01/2021 22:14

@SunnySideUp2020 thanks for doing the list! I genuinely can’t believe how far we are now! These next couple of months will fly by too I reckon 😃 so exciting! I just need to be a bit more organised as don’t have anything for baby yet!
@Annny27 you’ve been an amazing support to me as well as everyone else, I think about you lots and hope and pray it’s your turn next 💖
@TerribleImagination eeek so close now! I bet you’re so ready!
@ChampooPapi @MilsCookie I think you’re both amazing, don’t know how you’re doing it but you are! 💖💖

ChampooPapi · 03/01/2021 12:03

Thank you @scrumdiddly123 🥰

I've just heard the most brilliant radio program about a premature baby, it's was so interesting as well as moving.

www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0003ckq

That's the link, it'll be available in an hour, I just wanted to post the link incase I forgot because I think a lot of you ladies will really enjoy it. Actually a really nice couple activity to listen together too

ChampooPapi · 03/01/2021 12:09

www.wnycstudios.org/podcasts/radiolab/episodes/288733-23-weeks-6-day

It's available now to listen here on radio labs website ☺️

MilsCookie · 03/01/2021 21:55

Thank you @ChampooPapi - will definitely give it a listen although I don't think I'm emotionally ready 🙈

When the girls were born, one of our friends reminded us of the song 'Wires' by Athlete, which is about his premature son who spent some time in NICU. I was in floods of tears from the first line. The lyrics sum up our experience of the girls in hospital perfectly. Every single word is true! It makes me cry now thinking about it 😭

But there is a lovely line at the end which puts a smile on my face: "Looking at you now, you would never know" ❤️

MilsCookie · 03/01/2021 21:56

There's the link if anyone wants a listen! X

SunnySideUp2020 · 04/01/2021 06:20

Would love to listen but maybe after birth 😅

scrumdiddly123 · 04/01/2021 06:35

@MilsCookie I absolutely love this song but can’t listen to it without crying and thats without ever having had an early baby! Love athlete x

Whiffle77 · 06/01/2021 09:21

Hope everyone is ok! How is everyone with all the new restrictions and lockdown? Lockdown is no different to tier 4 we were in before for us, but I'm feeling really sad now that no one is getting to meet my little man. The only cuddles he has had is from my parents, he has changed so much already and no one is getting to know him! I know there are worse things going on, but I felt like I missed so much during pregnancy due to the restrictions, and now missing out loads now he is here. Especially as he is our first. Trying to enjoy all the benefits (DH wfh, no pressure to do stuff etc) but its hard. Now we are out of the newborn fog as well I would really like to be able to start to think about going out places, but obviously everywhere is shut!!
Hope those of you with other kids are coping, I feel for you guys.
@TerribleImagination I hope you are feeling ok! Not long at all now, looking forward to your update Smile

SunnySideUp2020 · 06/01/2021 09:44

@Whiffle77
I feel your pain lovely.
It is true that it's unfortunate and out of our control this covid thing but the truth is we are missing out and the family/new little babies too.
My entire family is scattered around the world and i know that unless the ease restrictions in spring no one will see her.
She is the first grandchild on both side and the first great grand child on my side so big deal for everyone. And us of course!
My aunt joked and said hopefully we see her before she is 15 yo. I laughed but inside i was sad 😥 because i know they won't be seeing her much or make memories with us.
Anyway just saying that i totally get how you feel and am not even there yet. So you have my sympathy.
It sucks.
Ofc we just all want a healthy baby but missing out is not cool.

TerribleImagination · 06/01/2021 11:14

Hiii @Whiffle77 👋🏻 I’m good! Still waiting for this baby girl to make an appearance! Got my 40 week appointment on Friday (when I’ll actually be 39+5) and she’s said she can do a sweep if I want one... so I think I might but I’m nervous about it because I’m not great with smears etc! Has anyone else had a sweep before??

I feel your pain on the lockdown front too! It’s making me sad to think of the people who won’t get to meet our baby girl, until she’s well and truly out of the newborn stage 😢 My family are all down South (I’m in the North West), so it’ll be at least Spring time before they meet her, by which time she’ll be a few months old 😢 We’ve decided to bubble with my DP’s family (using the support and childcare bubbles) so that they can at least get to see her properly! But even that means that my two really close friends here can’t hold her until restrictions are lifted. Those girls are like my chosen family, but one is a teacher and one has a baby in nursery and will be going back to work as a midwife this month, so we just can’t risk the other people in our bubble by letting them meet her properly... it’s just really sad what we’re all missing out on.

Fizzl · 06/01/2021 15:40

Hi everyone 😁 happy new year!

2021 is off to a great start isn't it?! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Sorry I've not been on much again - have been a little busy (not that we can do anything exciting!) but we've stupidly decided to start having loads of work done to our house - as you do when you've got 6 months to go until you give birth! So now I'm already panicking thinking we've left it all too late and nothing will get done 🙄😂 one way to make this pregnancy go quick anyway! And give me something else to worry about other than baby.

Hope you're all doing as well as can be though. I'm so over these lockdowns now. Because my husband is a police officer we stick to the rules pretty rigidly which means we've essentially not really seen anyone properly for ages now. It's crap and I really feel for those of you with new borns or due any day. Selfishly I'm really hoping that by the summer we have some normality. I just hope I don't go stir crazy by that point as I'm pretty much remaining house bound - which is fun 🙄. I do still worry about my husband bringing covid home with him tho!

On a positive note I feel like I'm just quietly muddling through this pregnancy without any major fuss which suits me just fine! We've still not told most people and because we're not seeing anyone it really doesn't matter 😂 I'm starting to look a bit rounder but most would just think I overindulged on the cheese and chocolate at Christmas (which I also did!).

I've got my 16 week appointment tomorrow, hoping all is well and we hear the heartbeat!

What did everyone's first movements feel like? I've been getting some really subtle bubbling type feelings for about a week now. It almost feels like mild wind/gas 😳 but it's not! I keep thinking it's too early yet to feel anything so not sure... what do you think?
