It's very emotional!

ChampooPapi · 06/11/2020 13:00

I really hope you'll be holding your gorgeous girl too by Sunday @AlviesMam 🤞🤞❤️

AlviesMam · 06/11/2020 13:13

I do too. I can't handle these pains girls ... I'm so emotional , been having them since midnight. Still not clockwork so managing them from home. Any positive words to keep me going please pass my way xxxxx

TerribleImagination · 06/11/2020 13:21

@ChampooPapi Oh my god I’m so emotional reading your update!! 🥰🥰 Your girls are gorgeous! Huge congrats to you all ❤️ It’s crazy to think of remembering you getting your BFP, and then finding out it’s twins... It seems like yesterday, but what a journey! ❤️

@AlviesMam I’ve never been in labour before, but something I’m definitely taking into labour with me is that every pain gets me closer to meeting my baby girl ❤️ I have no idea if that’ll help me cope with the pains at the time, but that’s what I’m telling myself now! So, if you can, try and focus on that. You can do this. Your body is made to do this and those pains will bring your baby into your arms 🥰 You’ve got this lovey 💪🏻 You’re a warrior!

SunnySideUp2020 · 06/11/2020 13:23

@AlviesMam unfortunately can't give any advice as never been in labour but i am sure of one thing is that the pain you are experiencing now is bringing you closer to meeting your rainbow. You are so so close.
You are strong and you can definitely do this!
Sending you lots of strength and positive vibes 🌞💪❤

SunnySideUp2020 · 06/11/2020 13:24

@TerribleImagination we crossed post but totally with you on this!
🙂🙂

Whiffle77 · 06/11/2020 13:24

@AlviesMam have you had a bath or maybe a hot water bottle? I know that isn't much to suggest but it may ease it slightly. Every contraction means you are closer to meeting your lovely little lady! And try and remember each contraction will pass quickly, you can get through each one!!
And yes - you are a warrior!!! You can do this, the prize at the end of it will be all worthwhile. But don't be afraid to call for help if it all gets too much Smile
It won't be long now, im so excited for you xxx

TerribleImagination · 06/11/2020 13:35

@AlviesMam Also, if you can think of whatever makes you happy, get that on the go to boost the oxytocin! Songs, candles, films, TV programmes... Can you tell I’ve just started hypnobirthing? Haha. I plan on watching back to back Take That concerts on DVD while in labour 😂 My poor DP 🤣

Chickoletta · 06/11/2020 14:33

@ChampooPapi - so thrilled for you, they are beautiful and such good sizes.

@AlviesMam - if you haven’t already, try having a warm bath. Paracetamol may take the edge off slightly. Hot water bottle also helped me. As the others have said, every pain is a step along the road to meeting her. Thinking of you.

MilsCookie · 06/11/2020 14:48

@ChampooPapi 😭😭😭😭😭😭 oh my
goodness why haven't I logged onto mumsnet in four hours. I could've seen your update 4 hours ago!!! Waahhhhh HUGE congratulations lovely!! I genuinely feel so emotional thinking back on the journey you've had this year. Like others have said, from finally getting that BFP after months of bfns, to having a bleed, to finding out you had TWO beans growing inside you, to all the anguish and discomfort, and particularly the stress over the last couple of weeks with the slowing growth and worrying when they were going to be born... I am just SO happy for you!!! And they are both absolutely beautiful and really good weights too! So glad to hear you're at home and have been able to get some sleep. I hope you're not in too much pain post c section? Are the girls home with you too? Thank you so much for updating us - now rest and enjoy all the newborn snuggles! 😍🌈❤️🌈❤️
P.s. I LOVE their names... Jean was my grandma's name and it's going to be one of our girls' middle names 🥰🥰🥰

@AlviesMam sorry I can't give any particular advice as I haven't been through it but just wanted to echo what the other girls have said and just keep it at the front of your mind that every surge is bringing you closer to your baby girl. Thinking of you and sending lots of positive vibes! Come on baby girl! 🤞🏻❤️🌈

AlviesMam · 06/11/2020 14:51

Thank you everyone. I'm thinking of the rainbow at the end and trying to get through these contractions ❤️❤️❤️❤️

FireflyGirl · 06/11/2020 15:18

Flowers @AlviesMam.

I agree with paracetamol and a warm bath. That's pretty much all you can do at home. Have you got a tens machine?

Congratulations @ChampooPapi, beautiful girls and such good weights! Love their names, too. Violet was on my shortlist, and Jean is just lovely. Hope you're not too battered, and getting lots of support xx

BS9790 · 06/11/2020 18:09

Aw amazing @ChampooPapi, lovely news. Gorgeous girls and such lovely names. Hope you are recovering well.

@AlviesMam, hope you're doing OK... Won't be long til you've got that baby in your arms now.

I'm back in the hospital... UTI, open stitches, and absolutely no sensation on my whole pelvic floor... Front or back 🙈 just waiting on a bladder scan and blood results. Hopefully I can go home and I'm back on Monday for further investigation 😭😭😭

SunnySideUp2020 · 06/11/2020 18:54

@BS9790
That doesn't sound good. Sorry to hear you find yourself in hospital again.
Hope they can help you tonight and get you in later for more tests.
Sending hugs x

Leok83 · 06/11/2020 19:38

@AlviesMam im no good to you either on the advice front but sending you lots of positive thoughts! Just think how it's all worth it when you get to hold your little baby!! And hopefully that will be very soon!xx

Leok83 · 06/11/2020 19:39

@BS9790 oh no you poor thing that sounds terrible. Really hoping you start to recover soon. xx

scrumdiddly123 · 06/11/2020 19:52

Omg @ChampooPapi they are absolute perfection😍 I’ve been thinking of you since Wednesday, thank you for updating us 💖 I hope you’re all settling in at home xxx

scrumdiddly123 · 06/11/2020 19:54

Oh @AlviesMam bless you hang in there! Definitely try and rest/relax as much as possible, warm bath and painkillers, can you watch a film or something to distract you for a few hours or are they too painful? It won’t be long now 💖💖

peachypetite · 06/11/2020 19:57

@ChampooPapi, congratulations Flowers I hope you are recovering well. The twins are beautiful and I love their names! So exciting they are finally here Star

BecsterG · 07/11/2020 06:16

@ChampooPapi so lovely to log in and read your update. Congratulations!! So lovely to hear they're both here and well and so gorgeous. 😍

Oh @AlviesMam I completely get it having not too long ago been in that pain. hang in there girl. Not a lot will help the pain but focus of the end result. You've got this. Not long now and it's so worth it. A bath actually sent me into active labour with DS1.

My baby girl Paisley was born today girls.
4:52am weighing 7lbs 5.
Very challenging birth which I feel traumatised about but she's so worth it.
Thank you all for you love and support.
I finally have my rainbow xxxx

Chickoletta · 07/11/2020 09:23

@AlviesMam - wonderful news. Congratulations! Sorry you had a tough time, I did with my first and I can honestly say that you will get over it more quickly than you think possible. Talking it through with people (health visitor etc) will be helpful. It’s probably the last thing on your mind at the moment, but it doesn’t mean that any future labours will also be hard - I had my DD2 3 years later with just gas and air, no stitches and we were home in 2 hrs. Enjoy those lovely newborn snuggles.

Annny27 · 07/11/2020 09:23

Congratulations @AlviesMam 🥰🥰 gorgeous name!

Look after yourself and dont be afraid to speak to a medical professional e.g counsellor about birth trauma xxx

Whiffle77 · 07/11/2020 09:25
