Amazing!
Are you still at home?
Good luck @AlviesMam !!!!
You'll meet your little princess very soon 💕🌈

SunnySideUp2020 · 06/11/2020 06:10

@Leok83 i think i felt something when we woke up this morning but again i don't know if it's gas or the said bubble.
My stomach was hard where i happened and then became soft...
Who knows!!!
I am 18w6 today so still got some time to figure this out.

It's such a shame you can't find that replacement now. I totally get you stressing out. What would happen if nobody was to take over in February?

MilsCookie · 06/11/2020 06:22

Ooooo @AlviesMam I'm so excited for you!!! Try to enjoy it - you're about to meet your baby girl! Will be thinking of you and can't wait to hear an update 💖

Thank you @Leok83 and @scrumdiddly123 it does seem mad that they're already scheduling my c section... I suppose my pregnancy will have been 6 weeks less than most!! Getting a bit nervous now 😬 hope they find someone soon to cover your maternity Leok - you've still got plenty of time!! Glad to hear some of you are now feeling movement - it's the best feeling in the world isn't it! 😍 I'm sure you'll get it soon too @SunnySideUp2020 🤞🏻

SunnySideUp2020 · 06/11/2020 07:04

Thanks @MilsCookie
Are you all ready at home?
Did they give you an estimate of how long your girls might need Nicu for?

Anyone heard of @ChampooPapi ?
Hope all is ok.

Leok83 · 06/11/2020 07:56

@SunnySideUp2020 I found it so hard to tell between the two until this week..you become a bit obsessive about lying there concentrating on all your tummy's movements😄
Unfortunately if I can't find cover the other vet ends up being on call 24/7 doing work of 2 people which I ended up doing for a month end of August and it's terrible and too much to cope for 1 person. Means I'd prob feel too guilty and not take all my maternity so I'm really hoping someone pops up!!

FireflyGirl · 06/11/2020 09:06

Fingers crossed for you, @Leok83. That's the last thing you need, isn't it!

How are you getting on, @AlviesMam? So excited for our next thread baby.

Hope everything is going well @ChampooPapi and you're just too busy with your new babies to update us.

Chickoletta · 06/11/2020 09:17

Good luck @AlviesMam!

Thinking of you@ChampooPapi. Hope all’s ok.

@inahaze - how are things with you?

TerribleImagination · 06/11/2020 09:30

Ooh this is exciting @AlviesMam 😍😍😍😍

@MilsCookie That’s amazing news about your girls! They (and you) are smashing it and defying all odds! ❤️

mlax · 06/11/2020 09:32

Good luck @AlviesMam hope she makes her appearance today so you're not in labour too long! 🤞👶

inahaze · 06/11/2020 09:41

@Chickoletta hanging in there! i have been so poorly this week with i think both a bad cold and morning sickness that im starting to believe i might actually be pregnant. i dont think i will believe it until i see a scan tho.

ive spoken to my midwife too, and that helped it feel more real. how are you getting on? i think im nearly 6 weeks now. when is your due date?

BecsterG · 06/11/2020 09:47

Good luck @AlviesMam it won't be long and you may have already had her. So exciting x

Contractions since midnight still irregular- managing them from home until they get into a pattern. Sooo painful x

Whiffle77 · 06/11/2020 09:58

Yes @Leok83 I have a week of hol and then maternity leave started next week, I am so close now! Cant wait. Still some time to find your replacement but I can see why you are worried about it, really hope you get more interest too!!

@SunnySideUp2020 I didnt really feel any movements for sure until 20 weeks or so, try not to worry too much! Think every baby and every body is different

Looking forward to seeing updates from @ChampooPapi and @AlviesMam soon!

Chickoletta · 06/11/2020 11:45

@inahaze - great news that you’re feeling more symptoms as I know you were worried about this.

I’m ok. 5+1 so just behind you. Symptoms come and go every day but I feel nauseous if I let myself get hungry, so eating too much! Boobs a little bit sore to the touch but not bad, still peeing a lot and very tired by the end of the day. I’m a teacher and have been on half term for the past two weeks. Going to be knackered by the end of the day when I’m working I think.

Today was my EDD for the twins I lost in a MMC at 12 weeks so it’s a strange day. Feeling quite ok about it though - being pregnant again helps, obviously.

I’m still a bit worried about the CB digital not going up from 1-2 if I’m honest, but I know rationally that they’re not that reliable, there’s a huge range in what is ‘normal’ for each week, I’m peeing so much that it would be very dilute etc. I’m pleased to have an NHS scan on 18th Nov when I’ll be 6+6 - my twins had stopped developing by then, probably. I’m going to have NIPT testing then at 10 weeks because I’m 41.

So nice to hear of the rainbows arriving now!

ChampooPapi · 06/11/2020 11:52

Thank you so much everyone 💖 I read all your messages high on oromorph in hospital over the last few days, it was so lovely to read them all. I cried several times because they were just what I needed in my unbalanced anxious state, thank you women! 💜💜💜

I will update properly next week but I obviously wanted to share a photo and that all parties are alive and well. Though c sections are fairly hardcore arnt they 😆. Labour bit very easy as you can't feel much but I'm a bit of a wreck now post opp! At home though and had some blissful rest from about 1 untill 6 this morning, it felt good after no sleep since waking up on Wednesday at 5 am for the section itself.
The twins are fine and good sizes, 5 and a half pounds and six, born 4/10/2020

Violet-May and Jean 👣🌈

ChampooPapi · 06/11/2020 11:56

I'm just tagging two ladies from an older thread so they see the update too @peachypetite @danielasummer 👣🌈🙌

The pictures make them look completely different, they are however impossible to tell apart in person 😆 to say the least, it's really confusing!

Welcome to the world Violet-May and Jean!
Those names are lovely 😍
Can't wait for a little picture!

SunnySideUp2020 · 06/11/2020 11:58

Omggggg i am melting over here.
So so so soooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!

ChampooPapi · 06/11/2020 11:59

They are very wrinkly and puffy because they were very squashed and apparently quite common for early babies even at 37 weeks. They are like little old men, they look super cute but also ridiculous in everything we put on them 😂

SunnySideUp2020 · 06/11/2020 12:09

@ChampooPapi they are beautiful.
And i mean they are some babies that look like old people but your little ladies are gorgeous.
Well done!!

Annny27 · 06/11/2020 12:23

Congratulations @champoopapi they are beautiful and gorgeous names! And such a good size! I was born at 40+2, a singelton and 4 pounds 7 haha 🤣🤣

Congratulations again and I hope you are recovering well xx

danielasummer · 06/11/2020 12:30
