Finally caught up on all the messages!

@AlviesMam that's great you're dilating without any fuss. Fingers crossed it won't be too long now.

Awww that's lovely @TerribleImagination 😍

@Hopefulmummie those early weeks are so so tough while you're waiting to find out what is going on inside. I'd book one for 7 weeks, they should be able to see something by then if you're quite sure of your dates! With these twins I had a bleed at 6+2 and went to EPAU to get checked out and that's when I found out there were 2 heartbeats! Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

@ChampooPapi hope you're all doing well this morning!! 👶🏻❤️👶🏻

@AlviesMam thinking of you... how are you feeling?

A little update from me... I'm 31+3 now and we've been told for a long time now to expect delivery between 32-34 weeks so my appointment yesterday was a bit of a nail biter! But they said that everything was still progressing well and there would be no reason to take them out next week!! 😃 and they're happy to book a c section for around 34 weeks so I'm now waiting for someone to call me to book the date in 😬🙏 it's all getting so real! So I have less than 3 weeks to go now! (Unless anything drastic happens before the c section date it could be even sooner but fingers crossed they hold on till then!) I'll have to go in twice before the section for steroids like Champoo and have been told to expect some time in NICU (which we knew anyway). I just can't believe how close it is now!! 🌈🌈 how is everyone else doing?

Ejb86 · 05/11/2020 08:42

@MilsCookie it has come around so quickly! It doesn't seem 2 minutes since we were talking about MCMA twins right back at the beginning. I'm sure they'll stay snug in there until 34 weeks.

All good here, I have finished off all work that I was on with, and I am officially now a lady of leisure until baby arrives.

FireflyGirl · 05/11/2020 08:49

@MilsCookie that's great news! I'm so, so pleased for you. And you'll have your girls this month!!

Can't believe DD is 2 weeks old tomorrow! I took her for a walk around the cul de sac yesterday to get some fresh air and start building up my strength again, and got to show her off to a couple of the neighbours.

She's doing really well with breastfeeding - at her 11 day check she'd put on around half a pound! The midwife was really impressed.

She slept in her co-sleeper cot for the first time last night, and did really well with it. Bit unsettled between 3.30-5am (during my 'shift', obviously HmmGrin) but I finally got her settled and she's been asleep for over 3.5 hours now...

FireflyGirl · 05/11/2020 08:50

Congratulations on your new status, @Ejb86. Just take it easy and make the most of it.

Whiffle77 · 05/11/2020 08:58

Oh wow that's such amazing news @MilsCookie you must be so pleased! I cant believe you are nearly there, after everything! So exciting.

Enjoy being a lady of leisure @Ejb86, I am so close now! Just today and tomorrow to go.

I'm fine, just shattered and so uncomfortable. Started sitting on a ball at my computer as all chairs are uncomfortable now. Looking forward to shutting this computer down tomorrow!

@FireflyGirl that seems to have gone so quick! Im pleased things are going so well for you

mlax · 05/11/2020 12:21

Hope everything went well yesterday @ChampooPapi and looking forward to receiving your update! 😍🥰

The end is nearly here @Ejb86 enjoy before baby arrives!

Hopefulmummie · 05/11/2020 14:42

Hope everyone doing ok today.
I had a call from the midwife earlier just checking about the dates I've put on my self referral form as she thought it was too early for me to have a missed period.
Not sure why as AF was due yesterday.

She said my 12 week scan will more than likely be after Christmas so thinking I will definitely book a private one

AlviesMam · 05/11/2020 14:50

Just lost my mucus plug. I'm hoping she comes soon lol xx

SunnySideUp2020 · 05/11/2020 14:58

Yayy @AlviesMam
Really good sign!!! I am sure she will be here by the weekend 🙂🙂

AlviesMam · 05/11/2020 15:01

@SunnySideUp2020 I hope so! I'm going for a bath now and going to get bouncing on my ball xx

Whiffle77 · 05/11/2020 15:31

Oooh that's exciting @AlviesMam!! Enjoy your bath and we will all have you fingers crossed for you!

scrumdiddly123 · 05/11/2020 17:18

Omg @AlviesMam that’s exciting! Fingers crossed it starts tonight!

Leok83 · 05/11/2020 19:02

@AlviesMam so exciting, hopefully not long now😊

@MilsCookie that's great news! So good they are still doing so well and will get to hold on another few weeks and wow can't believe it's already time for you to be scheduling your section!!

@Whiffle77 does your maternity start tomorrow? That will be so nice!!

@FireflyGirl aw that's just great news everything is going so well for you! Time is flying..can't believe she's 2 weeks already!!

@Hopefulmummie ya I'd definitely be booking a private scan..after Christmas seems so far away and time just goes so so slow in those early weeks.

All good here..starting to feel lots of movement and I think the odd kick! Able to tell between movement and wind now😄..I think it was movement all along and I thought I was just very gassy!!
Stressing a bit now though as I advertised my maternity position about 3 weeks ago..only had 1 application and she didn't accept the job even though we offered great conditions. It's impossible to get positions filled here and I'm really worried I won't be able to find anyone to cover my maternity now even though it's not until February🙁

SunnySideUp2020 · 05/11/2020 19:09

@Leok83 how far are you? When did you first feel the baby you think?
My MW asked me to be on the lookout for movements but u can't feel a thing.
I know the anterior placenta is probably not helping but i would really like to feel something😔

SunnySideUp2020 · 05/11/2020 19:10

Don't worry about your position just yet.
Give it a couple of weeks?
Perhaps the covid/lockdown situation is not making people look for jobs much as well?

Hopefulmummie · 05/11/2020 19:20

Does anyone know much about clear blue digital weeks tests? According to my lmp I should be 4+1 so I done a clear blue digital today and it showed pregnant 2-3 weeks when it should've only shown 1-2? I'm confused

FireflyGirl · 05/11/2020 19:29

Lots of people post on here about them being unreliable, @Hopefulmummie, so I wouldn't read too much into it.

You could have ovulated early, you could naturally have high hcg levels, or it could be another set of!! twins. Or it could just be that the test is very sensitive.

Leok83 · 05/11/2020 19:36

@SunnySideUp2020 I think I felt it first very faint at 16 weeks, then nothing again until 18 weeks. Was very faint and really wasn't sure if it was wind or not. Only the last 3-4 days (20+1 today) can I tell it's definitely not wind! I have a posterior placenta though so I know it's easier to feel so don't be worried if you don't feel anything for a while although I know you just want to feel those movements!!
I'm not sure if it's Covid or not making the positions slow to fill but I know it's even been hard for full time long term positions to be filled. Serious shortage of vets in the country..I think a lot have gone to greener pastures in the UK where there's no out of hours work! I just don't think I'll be able to relax now until I find someone which is so disappointing as was hoping maternity would be something to look forward to and now it just stresses me as it gets closer🙁

Leok83 · 05/11/2020 19:41

@Hopefulmummie 2-3 weeks on a CB digi means you are 4-5 weeks pregnant doesn't it? Which would be right for you. You add 1 week on but as firefly says they can be very inaccurate too and I think cause a lot of stress..although I did cave and used them when I fell pregnant but mostly went by darkening line on the FR as I'd had a chemical a couple months previous to that so was a bit obsessive about the line until I was sure and when I got 3+ I stopped all tests.

Hopefulmummie · 05/11/2020 19:53

@Leok83 I think I'm comparing it to my ectopic pregnancy I tested on same day 1sr day of missed period and it said 1-2 weeks but I suppose my HCG was probably lower cause it was ectopic

Leok83 · 05/11/2020 19:57

@Hopefulmummie ya I think HCG tends to be lower with ectopic pregnancies. Looking back at mine there I had 2-3 weeks at 14 DPO (so 4 weeks) and then tested 10 days later and it was at 3+ then. So you've definitely nothing to be worries about😊

scrumdiddly123 · 05/11/2020 20:30

@MilsCookie amazing that your twins are still happy in there! Not long left now, you must be so excited! Only seems like 2 minutes ago since you found out you were having them!
I’m so rubbish with keeping up with messages! Working full time is exhausting especially after 7 months off! But it is nice to be busy again so going to make the most of it.
@Leok83 great you’re getting lots of movement 🥰 I am too now, feeling her move a few times throughout the day and had what I think was a kick earlier in the week!
@SunnySideUp2020 hope you don’t have too much longer to wait xx

BecsterG · 06/11/2020 02:20

@AlviesMam how exciting. I hope you're progressing well.
