Thanks guys, she's so beautiful. Totally in love. It all happened fast in the end, after they slowed it back down, I managed a little sleep, and contractions came back around 4am. Had some morphine to cope as midwife said they probably weren't doing much still so braced myself for a long day. Morphine just made me sleepy, didn't really seem to do much about the actual contractions lol! By 9am my oh was back and I was moved to a delivery room to break my waters, begging for gas and air and being told no, then they decided to let me have it while they broke my waters and turns out I was 8cm. This was maybe 9.30-/45. She was born at 10.30am 😍 gas and air is amazing, while I remember every second I spaced out and could hear the casualty theme tune playing while I pushed!!

So happy you had a good experience! I really like the G&A too I found it really helped me! I'm so disappointed they don't offer it here 🙄

Gosh I knew there was something about today and now ive remembered, today was my due date for my last pregnancy. So strange to think I'd be welcoming a little one now along with all of you. It's bitter sweet because it's always sad when the date comes and goes but I feel so very lucky to have this little one inside me now. Whenever I've lost a baby I always think, if I hadn't lost them I wouldn't have the other lovely one that followed. Xxx

How's feeding going?

@professorastrocat Thanks, we're good here. We've got a "flexible" routine starting to form with feeding although he likes to throw a curve ball in like last night were i only got an hour and half kip. Gotta love a soother night 🙄

I know I've mentioned the tongue tie in a previous post, I think I updated that he started gaining and was upto 8lb 8oz (so smashed birthweight) but health visitor weighed him again today (8 days later) and he's shot to 9lb 9oz just before 4 weeks old. I'm super happy and relieved! Can let some stress go.

@Hatepickinganame We love the name Luna, I would've had it if I was to have another girl but I didn't think I'd have anymore kids so named it the cat ☺️ Couldn't let it go to waste x

@professorastrocat its better now, she had 3 little 5 minute feeds before we left the hospital and then literally didn't have anything until about 9am the next day. I was getting really worried, then throughout Monday we pretty much had cluster feeding, every half hour or so for a few minutes. We seem to be settling into longer feeds now though 🤞 how's everyone else getting on?

Just a little update from me! Went for my routine midwife app yesterday morning and my BP is high so now have to be monitored twice a week. Not high enough for treatment which is good! Had to go back yesterday afternoon to see the consultant and she is happy to keep me with the MLU for the time being 🤞🏼 had a growth scan too to check baby and he is 6lb11oz at 36+4! Expecting a wee fatty haha x

I had DDs 8 week vaccinations today. She’s slept all day since. Bit worried she’s going to be awake all night tonight!! Guessing you have yours soon @professorastrocat. Good luck!

@whatsthecraic91 ah hope your bp behaves itself then! 2nd jan will be here before you know it. I can't believe she's almost been here a week already, time goes too freaking fast. Especially when we don't sleep from 2am onwards. Any tips for night time cluster feeding? Last night she would latch for 30 seconds, suck twice, fall asleep and the second i put her down, wake up rooting around like she's starving! Seeing midwife today for 5 day postnatal so hopefully they will have some tips!!
