Hi everyone!

There doesn’t seem to be a thread yet for July 2021, probably because most of you haven’t got your BFP yet! I got mine yesterday at 9DPO which was super early but had a pretty clear line on a FRER with afternoon urine, so confirmed with a digital. My due date is 4th July 2021 and I can’t wait for more of you to join me!! Feeling excited but a bit overwhelmed / not everything has sunk in yet. Also it’s still super early so I’m crossing my fingers (and legs!) that this little one sticks. It’s my first baby so I have no experience of any of this!

Hopefully see more of you in the next few days!!

Xx

@stickytoffeepud1991 and you. The ILs were telling me what to eat today. I'm not sure they are happy with my diet choices currently.

@Penny21xxx oh I hope it eases soon. The count down to the second trimester has started already.
I'm not sure I think 4-5 weeks (irregular cycles). I've been having lots of symptoms for just over 2 weeks but put it all down to other things.

Shreddy · 08/11/2020 19:49

@sittingwaitingwishing ahh our first was conceived with clomid. We were preparing for ivf as we were told we'd never conceive naturally!
@Hopingfor3 I'm terrified especially given I'm 39. This little one will be due on my 40th birthday! Cake.

Scottishskifun · 08/11/2020 20:01

@Penny21xxx it completely depends some are lucky and have a few days/weeks of it others extremely unlucky and get severe morning sickness which lasts the whole pregnancy.

With my Ds I was sick until about 18 weeks. I found nibbling on oatcakes would help ease it and keep it at bay.

ASL03 · 08/11/2020 21:03

Ladies, I feel your pain and take comfort in coming to this thread to put my mind at rest. I’m 6 weeks now but struggling with the daily cramping. Seems to be worse in the evening but wakes me up at least a couple of times a night. It’s just that horrible stretchy pain that lasts maybe 5-10 minutes, but feels constant. Other than that I’m just shattered and have really gone off food. I wouldn’t say I feel sick, but I certainly have gone off eating. I don’t really want to eat anything even though I might be hungry and when I do I’m forcing it down. Can’t wait for these early weeks to pass and hopefully feel better soon 🤞🏻 Bad news for me is I’m moving house this week and struggling to find the energy to pull myself together 😊 xx

NotMorePeppa · 08/11/2020 21:20

Hi all, hoping to join you.

Got my BFP last week, due mid July so early days but fingers crossed all goes well and DC2 will join us in 2021! 🥰

TickTockTee · 09/11/2020 10:49

Morning all, got my BFP last week after 5 months TTC. This is my 5th pregnancy but our first DS was stillborn and then had a miscarriage before having 2 DS.

Feeling tired all the time but couldn't sleep last night 🙄😴

FinallyGotMyHappy · 09/11/2020 10:54

Hi, just realised I'm a couple of days late. Trying to hold off getting a test until the weekend just in case this months cycle is a bit longer. We've been trying so just going to stay quietly hopeful and hopefully be able to chat to all you ladies soon enough xx

inahaze · 09/11/2020 12:46

welcome so many new mummies!

so deeply heartbroken for you @TickTockTee. i really hope you are well looked after by your health care team

MORNING SICKNESS** i've been so, so, ill. I have barely left the house for a week now, i have done the school run this morning and a gentle walk yesterday to the woods. I'm feeling marginally better now that a friend of mine who had HG told me to take vitamin B6 (10-20mg x4 a day).... I'm taking 10mg twice a day but going to ramp it up to 3 times a day. I can't take any prenatals without puking so I'm just taking folate and vitamin D & B12

I hope this information helps someone!!

inahaze · 09/11/2020 12:47

oh and i also have had a weird cycle, my last period was 3rd september but there is no way i am 8-9 weeks along, i think i'm more like 5-6 weeks so due early July

T2416 · 09/11/2020 13:07

@inahaze you have the exact same lmp as me. I went for a scan on Thursday thinking that was how far along I was but turns out when I went I was in the very early stages and they could only see what they believe to be a small gestational sac. Got to go back on the 21st for a rescan to see. Fingers crossed. All tests still showing positive and got the start of the morning sickness feeling and had very tender breasts for few weeks and slight cramping / stretching feeling.

MaryLola · 09/11/2020 13:41

Hi everyone, can I join? I was on another July 21 thread but this one seems like the main one. BFP last Wednesday, first pregnancy. Due 15th July 21.

PeanutButterFalcon · 09/11/2020 14:05

@inahaze thank you. Will definitely be screenshotting that incase I need it. Hope it eases for you soon

Morleidr8 · 09/11/2020 14:22

Hi everyone, I’m due 3 July and it’s my first. We were trying for 6 months so very excited and also terrified. Had really bad cramping last week or so, and feeling sick last 3 days. Booking appointment on Thursday!

Luckyelephant1 · 09/11/2020 15:07

I'm really confused as to how booking appointments are supposed to work? I am 5+2 today. Self referred via an email form last week as per my GP instruction. Chased up with a phone call just now only to be told its too early and I won't hear from a midwife until about 10 weeks??? Is this right? Lots of you have booking appointments already. What am I supposed to do if I have any issues or questions in the next few weeks? I feel a bit dismissed really.

3rdtimelucky2019 · 09/11/2020 15:11

GP if you have anything medical in nature i.e. pains, bleeding etc but 10 weeks isn't particularly late. The booking appointment in normal times is normally just bloods and blood pressure and explaining about future appointments - they'll then book you in for the 12 week scan (which is any time up to 14 weeks).

Honestly any issues ring the GP. There's nothing they can't answer that a midwife would.

EatPrayYoga · 09/11/2020 15:36

Lucky I think ten weeks is pretty standard. My BA for DC1 was about then and I remember thinking how left to my own devices new mums are. I went to the GP and he just noted my due date and told me to call the midwives. I relied on the internet to tell me what I should and shouldn't be eating and was it ok to exercise etc. I felt similar when it came to giving birth. It was just standard appointments and I had no idea what to expect when giving birth or making a birth plan. I remember thinking there isn't much support but everyone was lovely to us.

I now have a booking appointment for early December when I will be about ten weeks.

I would rely on my GP or groups like this for info tbh.

inahaze · 09/11/2020 15:39

welcome @Morleidr8 !

i see lots of people getting scans, is this NHS or private?

NotMorePeppa · 09/11/2020 15:52

Anyone else feel like time has slowed down? I’ve a feeling this is going to be the longest 12 weeks ever!

Luckyelephant1 · 09/11/2020 16:02

@EatPrayYoga @3rdtimelucky2019 thanks that's really reassured me. I just wondered as it seemed quite a few on here have their booking appointments a lot earlier than 10 weeks and seem to be in contact with their midwives already. I guess nothing much needs to be done in this stage anyway so I'll try to stop panicking lol.

3rdtimelucky2019 · 09/11/2020 16:04

If it's anything like by me, you'll see different midwives each time anyway so don't really develop a relationship as such. It'll be grand, don't worry. 10 weeks will soon be here and you'll be on the big booking in questionnaire (that's what it felt like to me last time!).

Blughbablugh · 09/11/2020 16:09

I think the booking in / midwife referral process varies a lot from location to location. With mine, my midwife is linked to my GP surgery. It's just the one midwife and i know it will be the same midwife I had last time. She won't contact me know until week 8 or 9 and then the appointment will be week 10.

Jilly1988 · 09/11/2020 16:29

I am 5 weeks and I rang my GP today who gave me the number for the hospital for my booking in. I have my appointment on 7th December when I am 9 weeks and she said it will be a phone appointment.

Though I had a private appointment before I conceived as I had mid cycle bleeding and had been ttc for 18 months. The consultant gave me clomid and cyclogest (progesterone) I am supposed to take cyclogest to 12 weeks but only have enough until 7/8 weeks so panicking a bit. Hope my GP will prescribe some for me.

Penny21xxx · 09/11/2020 16:34

I had my booking appointment on Friday (6+5) over the phone. I was told this is because my midwife is completely separate to my GP. So had to go through medical conditions, if I'll be consultant led etc as they wouldn't have access to my GPs system. Maybe if yours is linked that may be why?

I have to go and get blood tests tomorrow and then I won't see anyone from NHS til my 12 week scan which is the 16th December! I've booked a private scan for 16th November when I'll be 8 weeks.

SenoraSurf · 09/11/2020 16:36

Just tested at 10dpo with an FRER and got my bfp for dc2. So exciting!
Looking forward to the journey with you all!

MaryLola · 09/11/2020 17:13

Congratulations @SenoraSurf 🎉
