@SnickerdoodleSnek @ArtemisBean

Fortunately my OH is allowed in the 20 week scan now so I hopefully wont need to write anything down. He's got a better memory than me so no longer have to worry about have I remembered everything Smile

Welcome @Sinead543 - I'm March 10th. No idea on the sex yet. Think we're going to leave it as a surprise

Sinead543 · 09/10/2020 10:14

@loobyloo1234 Can I be cheeky and ask what area you are from? I haven’t heard anything about my OH being allowed to attend my 20 week scan

loobyloo1234 · 09/10/2020 15:40

@Sinead543

No of course Smile Harlow is my nearest hospital. It was announced on the hospital website if that helps? It might be worth calling the scan dept at your local hospital just to check though?

Usplusone · 09/10/2020 16:07

Hello everyone. After an agonizing 3 weeks we finally got our full CVS results back and they were normal. Also found out it's a boy 💙 Still not out of the woods, not sure I'll ever be able to relax but feel a bit more hopeful. Would like to stay on here to give me a bit more excitement about my pregnancy, feels a bit more normal if there's such a thing x

Sinead543 · 09/10/2020 18:22

@loobyloo1234 Not too far from me, I’ll be having my baby at queens hospital so I’ll check the BHR website now, Thank you!

ChilternsHan · 09/10/2020 19:45

@Usplusone that's good news about the CVS results, and congratulations on a boy 💙

It's hard to get excited I find, although the further along I get the more I feel it. How many weeks are you?

SnickerdoodleSnek · 09/10/2020 20:13

@Usplusone Glad to hear everything is looking good so far! And congrats on your little boy! ❤️

LMG456 · 09/10/2020 21:52

Hi everyone. Been following for a while but first post. I'm due late March. Currently finding that I don't really feel pregnant as first trimester symptoms have subsided and I don't feel like I am growing as I am a little podgy. Getting some pains that I assume are growing pains but other than that I am just assuming all is ok. First baby so a little anxious.

Blessing20 · 09/10/2020 22:17

Hello!!

I am due on March 20th 2021.

Usplusone · 10/10/2020 13:37

Thanks! 16 weeks now and behind with all the baby admin as I'm being a bit cautious still. Luckily this is baby no 2 so we have everything already.

Sinead543 · 10/10/2020 14:59

I’m 19+3 and haven’t brought any big stuff yet, I’ve only brought some clothes and a few toiletries. I see so many sad stories online I feel so anxious with buying stuff because it still feels so early...

holb54 · 10/10/2020 18:38

@ArtemisBean I'll message you now about the Facebook group!

ValidUser · 11/10/2020 00:14

@Usplusone such a relief on the CVS. Congratulations on your boy!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 11/10/2020 11:20

Hi all. 2nd time around for me. Due March 12th but will probably be delivered early as have GD. It’s been a long pregnancy so far with horrendous nausea and sickness, tiredness and the GD. Surprise baby too... I’m 43 and thought I was menopausal!

SnickerdoodleSnek · 11/10/2020 15:05

@LMG456

I can sympathise, I feel exactly the same way. Baby is situated far back so I've no bump (as I'm a bigger lass so all the 'padding' hides it), and barely any symptoms. I had a private scan yesterday and they couldn't get a proper view for photos or the 4D scan and couldn't tell the sex. As glad as I was to see baby was looking healthy, I was so upset because it felt like I was doing something wrong. So many other mums have lovely bumps and know what they're having and I barely feel pregnant at all.

It's easy to say have patience (the weeks seem to drag when waiting for a scan!), but I'm sure the time will come when you get your lovely bump and everything feels a bit more real. ❤️

Sinead543 · 11/10/2020 16:30

@SnickerdoodleSnek I feel the same, even though I have got a little bump I haven’t felt any movement because my placenta is at the front so even though I know I’m pregnant sometimes I feel as if I’m just bloated because I haven’t had any pregnancy symptoms either, so waiting for each scan to come about and to know my baby is okay feels like forever!

SnickerdoodleSnek · 11/10/2020 18:09

@Sinead543 Yep I totally get that! The time between scans has been excruciatingly long! Waiting another two weeks for a repeat scan is going to feel like an eternity. I'm sure we'll feel better about it with time though. ❤️

ChubbyMumFromSkye · 11/10/2020 18:26

Congratulations and welcome to all the newbies! 🥳💜

Welcome @BigHairyLeggedSpider I'm 43 too due date 15th March my sickness has been really bad but think that's because it's twins, thankfully it seems to have gone now just really tired all the time especially from looking after DD who has just turned 1 x

loobyloo1234 · 12/10/2020 09:21

I'm the same @Sinead543 - FTM so I dont know if that makes me more of a worrier? I've bought about 2 outfits and not much else. I think once I've had the 20 week scan I may relax a little more? Who knows though

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 12/10/2020 09:58

@SnickerdoodleSnek same here. I'm big as well as old and I definitely don't look pregnant, just round. The horrible sonographer at my 12 week scan kept muttering about fat layers until I snapped at her. I have lost weight during this pregnancy through sickness, but am still shaped like a barrel!

Sinead543 · 12/10/2020 13:09

@loobyloo1234 I’m a FTM as well and I’m thinking once we start feeling movement we will relax more. I’m the same I’ve got my 20 week scan tomorrow so if all goes well I’ve said I’ll start getting the big bits at the end of the month

Thack · 12/10/2020 13:37

I'm in the same boat as you both. I've bought a handful of maternity bits but nothing else.
It feels too early, I need to over analyse before committing too Grin I know time will fly.

I'm envious of everyone on the FB page saying how they've had a look around John Lewis to see items before they buy. By chance there is an outlet for prams etc nearby, but I'm in a modest town on lockdown so not much to see. FTM, so really want be able to physically pick things up.

loobyloo1234 · 12/10/2020 13:41

Oh I went to John Lewis - and just looked haha! I saw a changing mat that I may buy but honestly, it would be lovely to get everything from there but definitely not realistic for us

I haven't felt any movement either @Sinead543 - I keep thinking, today will be the day. My friends have all said 17-18 weeks was when it happened for them but i'm now 18+5 and I honestly don't think I've even felt the 'flutters' everyone talks to me about. Fingers crossed we have some reassurances soon Smile

Sinead543 · 12/10/2020 14:25

@Thack @loobyloo1234 - I’m gutted that mothercare closed down, that’s the first place you want to go as they had EVERYTHING! There’s not many places near me where I can go and look at pram/cots in person. There’s a shop called ‘bush babes’ in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire that I want to go and look around, it’s about an hour from me but it looks like a lovely shop
