@AutumnBabyWinterMummy lovely nursery 💞 @CharlieBalf aww that little face, he is adorable! I might have some induction qs due one on Mon, in hospital just now tho so might be earlier. Congratulations 💞@bluemoon2468 ohh defo sounds promising. I'm back in hospital, it was my waters, well fore waters so she managed a sweep and said I'm 1-2 cm dilated, just waiting to see if need kept in as was due induction Mon anyway, do hope I can get home, we'll see xx

blankiesandunicorns · 03/10/2020 21:55

Has anyone else's plug came away gradually? With my DD is came in one big bit. But I think I had a small amount on tissue earlier, sorry TMI!

Thanks @LexiM so do I!

Treacle81 · 03/10/2020 22:10

@blankiesandunicorns mine was coming away for weeks starting from around 35 weeks I'd say, floating by me in bath and in pad lol xx

NWnature · 03/10/2020 22:15

Congrats @CharlieBalf!!!

I have no idea with the plug, I’ve had jelly like discharge tiny bits for weeks now (sorry tmi) but clear not bloody and only small amounts so assuming that’s not it.

Hope you can head home for a bit @Treacle81

LostinAusten2 · 03/10/2020 22:16

Congratulations @CharlieBalf 🥰🥳 Well done for getting through it, your little one is beautiful ❤️ and best wishes with the recovery x

BntTowers · 03/10/2020 22:22

Congratulations @CharlieBalf! Such a cutie. I love seeing all these babies!

Great nursery too @AutumnBabyWinterMummy

I think I've had some really tiny bits of plug for a few weeks coming out every 3 days or so, thick slightly green tinged but nothing of note really.

@treacle81 hope you are ok and fingers crossed you get to go home for a bit.

Treacle81 · 04/10/2020 00:05

I'm getting kept in, bloods showed inflammation somewhere, just hope labour ward is too busy and I get a sleep in normal ward and start it all in morning as so very tired and hardly eaten xx

Spark27 · 04/10/2020 02:40

Congratulations @CharlieBalf, he looks gorgeous. I hope you're recovering well.

I wrote a big post yesterday and tried to upload a picture and they it crashed and took the post. Damn app. Night 3 of cluster feeding and sleep deprivation. The struggle is real!

Hope you're all doing well and get to meet your babies soon xx

Zaalfruit · 04/10/2020 02:40

Hiya everyone!!! Omg I have been so overwhelmed with baby haven’t a chance to even go on this. Me and dh have been struggling with baby so much - just trying to learn how to do things . My tears mean I rely on dh a lot. Baby hates the Moses basket and the next to me . She wants to sleep on us or our arms - which is so scary . My milk has kicked in but dd falls asleep after one - two tugs and now they are super swollen . I love dd to bits but it’s been really hard .

Zaalfruit · 04/10/2020 02:42

My aim is today to read all the updates here and catch up .

FourPlasticRings · 04/10/2020 02:44

Thanks everyone, it's been reassuring to hear that others have been worried about this stuff too. Hormones at this stage are no joke!

@CharlieBalf congratulations! He is gorgeous Grin

@Treacle81, not long now then! Fingers crossed for you getting some rest x

Treacle81 · 04/10/2020 03:34

@Spark27 and @Zaalfruit good to hear from you both, yea I've got the new app and don't like it as much as need to mememerise names! Maybe we should start up a what's app group instead girls, might be easier?? I've got a snorer in room so no sleep for me. Think I've had my bloody show as went to toilet there ans the pad was brown mucus and when wiped it was like the raw part of an egg mixed with blood. Told midwife tho as it didn't smell great, which is a first. Think ill be taken to labour ward in morning, not sure yet.

Treacle81 · 04/10/2020 03:35

Thanks @FourPlasticRings I hope today is a better day for you xx

Aquablue1123 · 04/10/2020 03:35

@CharlieBalf congratulations he is perfect 🥰 hope you are doing ok.

@Treacle81 ooh thinking of you, I hope it all goes smoothly 🤗.

@Zaalfruit I bet it's hard, all my mum friends have said the Labour was the easy part and it's the next stage (that you're at) which is difficult 😔 but I bet you are doing great! You know your baby the most so just go with what you feel is best and take the good advice only! 🤗 ... then when I'm at this stage tell me the same 🤣. I hope you're ok 😘 xxx

Treacle81 · 04/10/2020 04:35

@Aquablue1123 thanks v much xx

Spark27 · 04/10/2020 05:03

My DD is exactly the same @Zaalfruit. Just wants to sleep on me. From midnight til about 0400/0500 she is constantly feeding and on me. Its only from about now that she gets so full and tired that she'll then sleep in the moses basket for a few hours (I've just managed to get her down now, fingers crossed). I'm hoping it's just a phase for a few weeks while she gets used to the world. She wouldnt even settle for DH so I made him open his shirt more for skin on skin and shave his stubble and she seems to like him a bit better 😅. Its so hard though, and draining. I'm telling myself things will be better in a few weeks time. I think that's how I'm surviving. Fortunately my family have been taking my 3yo a bit too.

Hope you move to the labour ward soon @Treacle81. I'm very excited for updates. A whatsapp group, or private FB group sounds like a good idea. I'm still member of a private fb group from when my 3yo was born and it's so nice for group updates and then private individual messages too x

bluemoon2468 · 04/10/2020 06:52

Update from me: laboured all evening and most of the night. Things got really intense and the Freya app told me I was in established labour for over an hour but I decided to wait a bit longer and try and rest before going in. Finally managed to fall asleep at about 4am and I've just woken up and everything seems to have stopped. Frustrated isn't even the word 🙄 Any tips on how to get things going again?

Treacle81 · 04/10/2020 07:27

@Spark27 I'm hearing alot of babies are preferring to sleep on mum lol. Yes especially with this app being harder to catch up, think another form be better and easier for us to communicate. I don't want to lose this group. Just been told that I'll be moving to labour ward first thing which assume is 9am and put straight on the drip as waters potentially broke over 24 hrs ago. I'm still struggling with nausea and dizziness due to labrinthitis as well as no sleep so defo think I'll be asking for epidural xx

Treacle81 · 04/10/2020 07:28

@bluemoon2468 ah that's frustrating, has the pain just stopped sufddenly, anymore show? xx

bluemoon2468 · 04/10/2020 07:37

@treacle81 yep I've woken up and I'm just not having contractions any more! Had a bit more show throughout the afternoon and evening yesterday but nothing this morning. I think it's probably all out now there was so much of it yesterday. Assuming things will start again at some point today 🤞🏻

Best of luck for your induction!

bluemoon2468 · 04/10/2020 07:40

@treacle81 spoke too soon, have just lost a load more 😆

BntTowers · 04/10/2020 09:02

Private Facebook group or WhatsApps is a good idea. I don't mind setting up the Facebook group of people are interested. Not got anything going on today. No signs apart from sore bump and back ache.

MummyBearBoo · 04/10/2020 09:04

Congrats on all the babies so far -@CharlieBalf he is so adorable!!
I'm now 39 weeks and being induced tomorrow I feel so nervous this time around I really didn't know what to expect first time which I now think was a blessing but this time I know I feel a lot more scared - also last time though I was booked for induction I went in to labour on my own 4 days before whereas I think this baby with stay in there until induction!!
It's also going to be harder than the first time after with having a 4 year old and new baby - DD isn't at school coz a staff member tested positive for Covid!! Xx

booroo · 04/10/2020 09:05

Still Overdue, grumpy and no signs at all today!
This baby is not making a great first impression 🙄
Hoped yesterday things where kicking of but come 9pm everything stopped arghhh just want to get done now so I can stop worrying how my 4year olds going to cope 😭
Sorry for the woe is me post just need to write that down as husband totally doesn't get it! 🙈🤣

otterbaby · 04/10/2020 09:06

@bluemoon2468 I'm exactly the same - laboured all night with contractions reaching 5 mins apart at some times. Apparently it's normal in the latent phase for things to taper off and return the next day. Midwife advised me to go for a long walk, stay active on my ball and make sure I'm super relaxed and calm.

@Treacle81 good luck this morning!! Agree that a WhatsApp group is a good idea.

@Spark27 and @Zaalfruit lovely to hear from you both, sorry to hear babies aren't settling well. Hopefully that'll come in time!
