Thank you ❤️ I'm so nervous :/ my hearts racing. I had like half a doughnut, feel free to take some!

Treacle81 · 26/09/2020 07:00

@MrsK89 im sure you will be just fine lovely, I'll be thinking of you 💕xx

Quiffy · 26/09/2020 07:09

@bluemoon2468 ouch ouch ouch that sounds awful. Hopefully the painkillers help!

@Spark27 great advice on induction thank you!

@BecLJ ahh no hopefully things are kicking off soon

@MrsK89 good luck today ❤️❤️

Starting to get really anxious about Monday. It's not so much the labour part as then I'll get dh and my mum (although worried that I'll be alone if no one let's them in in time) but being alone in a ward without either. Been up half the night worrying 😩

Indigogirl88 · 26/09/2020 07:23

@MrsK89 good luck, definitely eat! My mdiwife said that they feed us in the UK its just in America they don't feed the girls, or give them gas and air, poor things!

Nothing to report here, still pregnant. Tried a hot bath last night as getting back pain as well, but i don't think I'm back to back still the midwife would have said surely on Thursday? Been using the ball etc etc

Sweep booked for the 6th if nothing before

I get the whole work thing i only just stopped this week, and done a tonne of housework but its proper knocked me now

Good luck everyone xxx

Treacle81 · 26/09/2020 10:13

Morning girls! Was on the monitor for hrs throughout the night due to reduced movements so v tired but managed to walk to the canteen myself (first time since Tues) and showered without the seat so that was great! So just waiting on doc reviewing so either home or induction. @Quiffy I have been in 5 days now and it's honestly not too bad. Just make sure you have plenty of snacks, books, mags, something to watch things on, headphones, charger (long lead preferable) and most importantly I have found to be water bottle and eye mask! Life savers. @Indigogirl88 I might be wrong but t hi ink theyd only know if you were back to back from scan 🤔xx

MrsK89 · 26/09/2020 11:59

Thank you.
All good here, sat in the ward waiting to see the midwife who will talk through the induction process.
I think I'll be here a while x

booandbumpp · 26/09/2020 13:00

Hope everyone is ok! I’ve been in twice this week - once overnight and once for the day as on monitoring baby girls HR was high. They pumped me full of fluid and it came down but at one point they were saying if her heart rate is like this in 15 minutes we’ll be going to theatre for c section!
Induction has been brought forward. They’d have started yesterday but my cervix was soft but not open so they did a “massage” and I’ve got a sweep and monitor tomorrow and induction is booked for Monday!
I’m bouncing like my life depends on it today. Midwife suggested sex but I’m so uncomfortable I’m not feeling very “romantic” Blush
I’m 37+2 now and I think they feel more comfortable with her coming out since I had steroids! I’m having some period like cramping so hope stuff is moving. Last time I had my waters broken at 1cm when my cervix was still “long” so I’m hoping to avoid that again because it was not pleasant!
Sounds like there’s a few of us with things booked in now! Weird to think this time next week (labour bed availability depending) we will no longer be pregnant!!

bluemoon2468 · 26/09/2020 16:21

I've lost track a little bit but best of luck to everyone having inductions over the next few days! Loving all the baby announcements and pics (not at all jealous 😄) 💕💙

otterbaby · 26/09/2020 17:19

@MrsK89 and @BecLJ hope everything is going well, hopefully we see some more babies soon 😊

@bluemoon2468 that sounds really painful! Can you see about a water birth to try to limit the pressure on your hips and back?

@Quiffy I worry about that too. I have heard several people say that it wasn't as bad as they were expecting, if that's any consolation. It sounds like the women on the ward build a bit of camaraderie while they're there so hopefully you get a good bunch to stay with!

@Treacle81 good news that you're feeling better!

Had my midwife appt today. It was actually a great appt - she could feel that baby is still head down and actually positioned my hands so I could feel my baby's head in my pelvis! It was amazing and made me tear up a bit...I can't wait to smell and kiss that little head 😭

My next appt isn't booked in until I'm 40+4, is that normal? Seems like ages away!

Treacle81 · 26/09/2020 17:20

I'm home girls!!! Doc got me to do a other scan, baby still back to back but with changing me from midwife to consultant led and meds to take, I was discharged. Over the moon. Now need to rest up, not allowed to drive, just chill out till the sweep on the 1st and hope health improves. It certainly is all starting to happen for us and v exciting. Hope all going well @MrsK89xx

booandbumpp · 26/09/2020 17:35

@Treacle81 fingers crossed a good sleep and being at home helps you feel better! I’m sure it’s got to help after sleepless nights as an inpatient!

MrsK89 · 26/09/2020 17:35

No news here yet. Still waiting on the ward, no sign of induction yet. I think they are still waiting for beds to free up on the labour wards x

Spark27 · 26/09/2020 17:47

Glad to hear that you're back home @Treacle81. Hopefully you'll get to catch up on some rest now x

The waiting is the most frustrating part isn't it @MrsK89. Hopefully you've got some stuff to entertain you.

My last appt was 38+4 and my next one isn't until 40+4 @otterbaby. Seems ages after the 40w mark, but its just how my appts fell. The mw has said she'll try and get me booked in at 41w then as they dont do sweeps until 41w where I am and they dont want me to have to wait til 41+4. xx

justanothermamma · 26/09/2020 18:23

@Treacle81 Glad you're home lovely, rest up!

@MrsK89 God that doesn't sound fun, must be awful waiting! Thinking of you 🤍.

@otterbaby 40+4 sounds a while away yeah! Hopefully you'll have baby by then though! I don't have any more midwife appts. My last one was 38 weeks. Weird. Must be due to the planned induction!

Had my nails and lashes done today as a treat, feel like a new woman. Baby can come when she likes now! Actually did the deed this morning, SPD and sciatica made it difficult but I want this baby out before I get induced if I can! Went for a walk this morning too, I'm now bouncing on the ball now while DD eats her tea 🙈. Spicy curry last night has done naff all. We shall see what tonight brings! X

ferntwist · 26/09/2020 18:26

So exciting to hear how everyone is doing! Hope you’re not waiting too long @MrsK89

booandbumpp · 26/09/2020 18:29

@justanothermamma Ou nails and lashes sounds nice. I was just thinking I’m gonna have a long hot bath with a face and hair mask and tint my eyebrows afterwards as a lil home pamper session. My friend just sent me a picture of her freshly dyed hair and I’m jealous!
I am starting to think I might have to buck up and DTD myself. Anything to avoid a 4 day long induction like last time!!

justanothermamma · 26/09/2020 19:20

@booandbumpp I feel so nice, just feel girly and it'll make me feel better when I'm make up free anyway 😂!
I shaved and IPL'd my legs yesterday so they should not be prickly for a while! DTD did set me off last time, it also gave me BH everytime too, so we'll see! Put DH in a better mood anyway!
I attempted to get a hair appt but failed to get one in time for Wed, but at least I have my lashes and nails! I need to paint my toe nails but I can't reach, will have to get DH to do it.
That's my fear, induction being long and painful, especially after having a quick 4 hour natural birth with DD first time. X

BntTowers · 26/09/2020 19:23

@MrsK89 hope you aren't waiting too long.

@Treacle81 glad you've been sent home, try to relax now.

I've just been in triage for reduced movements. Everything was fine once baby woke up, took 20 minutes. Whilst I was waiting to go in a lady went from 2cm to 6cm in 3minutes then in another two baby was born on labour ward. She had got in at 16.45 and baby arrives by 17.45, all the midwives were rushing round.

Zaalfruit · 26/09/2020 19:41

Good luck to everyone getting induced . @MrsK89 good luck xx @BecLJ good luck and hope you are alright x

@Treacle81 yay you feeling better - can’t believe 5 days has already passed by .

@BntTowers are you home now ? Rest up xx

(I’m just so uncomfortable and now got a rash on my upper thighs and stomach not sure if I should make a fuss or just ignore . Sleeping is hard - mood is soo off )

@booandbumpp and @justanothermamma I need to fix up - just look a mess - chipped toe nails but the idea of painting is so hard . I want to dtd will see what dh says - currently he doesn’t refund me every appealing just annoying.

LostinAusten2 · 26/09/2020 19:46

Sending best wishes to everyone as well - you’ve got this! 😎🥰 x

ferntwist · 26/09/2020 19:57

Wow @BntTowers what an amazing story of the woman who just gave birth in an hour. Gives me hope!
Glad your little one has decided to wake up. It’s so scary when they go quiet.

ferntwist · 26/09/2020 19:59

Does anyone know if baby moving more could be a sign that labour is possibly on the way? I had a couple of very mild cramps this morning too, nothing too much but fingers crossed.

BntTowers · 26/09/2020 20:16

@Zaalfruit yeah back home now, going to watch Enola Holmes and chill, then tomorrow write out my birth plan properly as it's just scribbled down at the moment.

BettyBotter1 · 26/09/2020 21:04

Well done those getting beauty treatments. Maybe I'll try to paint my toenails tomorrow.
Good luck to those being induced. Looking forward to more baby news soon 🥰
@Treacle81 glad you're feeling better and ate home
@BntTowers glad all is fine
@Zaalfruit I'd be keeping an eye on any rash and if at all concerned it cant hurt to make a quick phone call to triage to see if they think it's anything that needs checking out
@otterbaby @Spark27 my next appointment is also 40+4. I don't feel like she's going to come early, no signs yet and I still have things to do... Today DH is back and we've been beginning to organise the nursery bits which included setting up furniture and opening gifts. Washing machine now on washing new baby clothes :)

justanothermamma · 26/09/2020 21:29

Well, that's a u-turn, I hope doing the deed doesn't set me off tonight, DH has come back from the pub rather drunk and all over the place. Luckily he's that hilarious drunk so I can't be cross with him 😂. I do however have this awful feeling that I'll go into labour tonight.. hell.
