@Treacle81 oh poor you, I really feel for you, sending big hugs. Glad your scan came back ok but horrible thing you're suffering with. I hope it can leave as swiftly as it sounds like it started and hopefully your body will wait for labour until you're better.

Lots of you with period like cramps! Does this mean it's starting for you maybe?

I'm just getting vivid dreams in between being awake huge chunks of the night

@Treacle81 oh bless you. So sorry you're feeling so rough.

@bluemoon2468 back labour can be continuous without any defined contractions. The stomach cramps may be a red herring.

@BettyBotter1 I've had on and off cramps for two weeks now! No longer convinced this baby is ever coming out tbh. Think it plans to just stay there forever.

So strange a few of you are saying about period type cramps. I've also woken up with them. Along with nausea and feeling like I have a head cold. Not loving theselast few weeks of waiting! X

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy time them. If they are regular for over an hour then it's probably go time.

I had bh every 10 mins yesterday, not painful just frequent. Feeling normal today though 🙄

I had strong period cramps in the night for 2 or 3 nights before my waters broke. Could be a good sign 😊

I felt like my period was coming for a day or two before labour started with DD so this is a good sign for a few of you I reckon! Eek!

@BettyBotter1 I'm having the WEIRDEST dreams, it's quite awful, I'm waking up exhausted!

Nearly there ladies, nearly there.

First official day of my mat leave today, dropped DD at nursery and I'm about to take DH to work, going to buy a McDonalds breakfast on the way home then have a Netflix binge in bed for the rest of the day. It's my only day alone now before baby comes!

Eugh I was awake most of the might and now have woken up with the worst hip pain in both hips. Not sure I'll be that mobile today.

Seems like there's lots with period type pain.

@bluemoon2468 I have a friend who had back labour, of it continues to get worse go in and get it checked. She nearly ended up delivering in the car as she wasn't having normal contractions.

@FourPlasticRings they've gone now 😂 just still feel generally lousy but just seems to be no reason for it!! Also felt like a very dull period pain nothing much.

Anyone got induction dates this weekend?

Ahhhhhhh, doc just been in and thinks maybe best to induce me!!!! Oh girls I am panicking!!! She said she will monitor baby, I've got a scan at 12:45 ( dunno if that's to see how far down he is) then they'll let me know what they think is best. I still await car seat as had to buy new one, flat hasn't been cleaned. Just in complete shock xx

@Treacle81 everything will work out no matter what happens, try to keep calm and use BRAIN with what they suggest.

@Treacle81 omgosh as @BntTowers everything will work out . Hopefully you are feeling slightly better. I am like you I don’t want to give birth till the house is sorted out.

I gave up on the next to be crib - it was just to boring and hard for me. plan is to make some sausage rolls with puff pastry and then feeeze so we can have it on cold days like this once baby is here.

@CharlieBalf the period pain was so random- it’s gone now I didn’t fall asleep till about 8ish after dh woke up for work . Just sat on bed making mental lists of what I need to do.

@bntTowers hope your pain eases off :( that must be awful.

Enjoy your first day of maternity leave @justanothermamma ! I only started on Monday but I’m so bored - parents came and visited me yesterday but they didn’t stay for long - my dad doesn’t like staying for too long - I forced them to eat lunch with me I don’t think he likes my cooking and found it too spicy . ( I have upped the spice level incase it helps with starting labour- all it’s given me is increased acid reflux )

Oh wow @treacle81 nerve-wracking I'm sure but also exciting that you'll meet baby really soon!

@Zaalfruit I've just set up our Next2Me to air it out for a few days before baby comes. I lent it to my SIL for her daughter last year after DD was done with it. I just watched a YouTube video to set it up 😂. I'll have to take it down again on Monday for a house viewing but nevermind! I'm being induced next Wed and I usually work Tues-Thurs, my mat leave doesn't actually start until Tuesday but work can't bother me now as I finished my working week yesterday! Eek. All the staff were telling me to have a lovely 'few weeks off resting' before baby comes (we've not told anyone about the early induction).. but because I get no maternity leave other than statutory I had to work as close as possible to baby coming 😬. I took four weeks off before DD and it was a nightmare financially last time and I had to go back to work way before I was ready to. When are you due?

@Treacle81 All will be fine, don't stress! Just look after yourself, everything will come together just as it should.

I've been waking up with period pains the last week or so, but they tend to go by 10am or so. So I haven't been reading into it too much 🙁

@Treacle81 you'll be absolutely fine - baby doesn't care if your flat is untidy (and I'm sure you won't either once your little one is here 🥰) good luck!

I still have to confirm my birth plan with my doc on Monday 🤦🏼‍♀️, shes wants to do a sweep too but let's see how I go.

@Treacle81 you've got this. Hope the scan is positive and just think your baby will be with you very soon and they dont care if the house is tidy...this is what I tell myself when a flit between tidying and not bothering!!

@Zaalfruit sausage rolls sound like such a good idea, I might do that too. They will be so nice when it's cold. The weather has definitely changed here, much colder. I need to get my duvet back out tonight after just using a sheet for so many months I'm feeling cold now.

I have my fingers crossed for everyone with pains, lets hope it means babies will be here soon ish for those of you with late septemeber/early October due dates. My husband has been going on about baby arriving soon but now hes busy at work he has changed his mind Haha

Really random thing to say here but on the positive birth course it said avoid like horrible films or programmes or things that make you feel stressed in the lead up as it makes your body hold baby in and it thinks it's not a safe time for baby to come out. So I was pleased to see the Christmas movie channels have just come on this week! I'm going to watch things like that now until baby here 😂😂

And anyone who is worried about a messy house I've been feeling so exhausted and full of spd last few days I've just not done anything but today I had a sudden burst of energy and started getting out all my winter clothes and clothes that stopped fitting me with my bump out from under the bed then decided I'd just completely re organise everything and now my bedroom floor looks like this... so I now don't have a choice but to finish it ASAP otherwise I'm worried baby will come to a bedroom like this 😂

@Treacle81 don't worry about the house you'll forget about that completely when baby is here.

@justanothermamma I really wouldn't bother taking it down for a viewing! I promise you they won't even care!!!

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy I'm just worried because in the baby's room (which is usually a double bedroom) there is now a cot, a next2me and a moses basket as well as my hospital bag for me and baby 😂 so it all looks a bit cramped in there! Ha! X

@justanothermamma ah, I really wouldn't bother putting it down it's just going to cause you another job. And anyone who can't see past it then they sound completely fussy!

Hey girls @Zaalfruit sausage rolls , great idea! @AutumnBabyWinterMummy great work, with doing all that and watching Christmas films, good times! I know it's not or shouldn't be top priority but just had in my head everything I wanted to do but you are right, baby won't care. Just back from scan, 45 percentile she think as was very hard to get accurate measurements due to him being back to back.Am I right thinking that is not good and he should be opposite way? If so, all the things you need to do to try turning them I can't do just pray for me he turns or I don't get induced xx

Sat in the waiting room at triage waiting to be seen about my back pain 😬 It's now so bad that I basically can't move. Unlucky for me it's crazy busy down here today so might be waiting a while 😳
