@Bl0ndi3 Haha probably!! Which hospital are you / will you be under?

SmileyT · 17/09/2020 19:17

@Sausage1990 haha I'm definitely not keeping it secret, I've told my girl gang which is my 5 best friends from school, my best friend from Uni and my bestie from my Take Me Out days.... my boss and my sister, so basically loads of people 😂 Just haven't made any public announcements yet just want to make sure everything is okay first x

@zippityzip whinge away, I can barely keep myself going let alone a whole family so I think you have the right ❤️ definitely take some AL or at least some sick days 🤔

@Bl0ndi3 progression looks great, symptom wise I think everyone is different but for me the early days like 5weeks until about 9weeks I was tired, like I'd get in from work and be asleep by 8pm and sleep until like 6am, went off loads of food and just felt generally shit/ hungover all the time 😂

@Sophi123 as the others said the CB is just an indicator and your dates probably won't match up to actual time from conception when you have your dating scan so just take them as guide until 12weeks. I had an abdominal scan at 7weeks and it was fine, there isn't much to see at that point but you see the heartbeat and that's what you're there for, with WTTW I think you just have to request it x

@Mococo1 definitely start wearing the maternity leggings if you are uncomfortable, I've rocked out the mat jeans and they are so comfortable not sure I'll ever go back to normal jeans. Also they are the best reactions from your friends, bet it feels nice to be able to share the news. Ooh I might go into boots tomorrow and grab some swag 👌🏾

@blodyn91 ooh I'm loving some online scrolling, there is so much choice for everything I get lost in a black hole of baby shit 😂

@Mrsi2020 hope you had a fab birthday ❤️

Had a super anxious day today after seeing that my RHR had dropped 6bpm over the last 4 days but really trying to drag myself out of this black hole of doom 🙈

Exciting @Ltay2! That extra week will feel like a lifetime but totally worth the wait!

@LittleRa No we're SE London / Kent here but DH's family are all in either Durham or Newcastle and they're mostly on local lockdown - pretty upset about it too (as I would be). How about you?

LittleRa · 17/09/2020 19:24

@mrsmummy1111 Well my parents pick my 6yo DD up from school twice a week and under the new restrictions grandparents are now allowed to do childcare, so I don’t really know what to do. Also I’m a teacher so I’m with 25 other people’s kids all day long with NO social distancing, yet I can’t see my sister, parents or friends. I’m worried DP will be stopped from attending my 20 week scan on 14th October too.

Bl0ndi3 · 17/09/2020 19:27

@Ltay2 probably Burnley I think even though Blackburn is closer, no maternity unit 🤨.
.

Thanks ladies re the symptoms I'm not worried I guess just curious when they'll come and I have to say I'm excited for them haha but I am sure I'll want them to go away as soon as they do xxx

Bl0ndi3 · 17/09/2020 19:31

@Ltay2 just think your scan picture will be even better as you will be further along

@SmileyT Take Me Out days?

mrsmummy1111 · 17/09/2020 19:34

Where in the country are you @LittleRa ?

MIL picks up my niece and nephew from school too and she's allowed to still do that supposedly?? They're in Co. Durham. But FIL is a police officer so they do things very much by the book, so she wouldn't do it unless she was explicitly allowed x

Ltay2 · 17/09/2020 19:42

@SmileyT You were on take me out?!

@mrsmummy1111 Yeah I'm actually glad it's a bit later really other than the extra waiting time! It's the first day of my week off work and 3 days before my birthday so it's perfect time ☺️ plus OH wants to do a social media thing after the scan once we've told anyone we want to tell in person so I'm glad it's a little later as I was nervous about announcing to the world at 12 weeks!

@Bl0ndi3 Ah yeah so annoying that Blackburn doesn't have one anymore! I live equally far from Blackpool and Preston hospital so have gone with Blackpool as we are more familiar with it and the car park is huge and far easier to manage which will be important if in a rush!

LittleRa · 17/09/2020 19:52

North East @mrsmummy1111 my parents are County Durham and I’m North Tyneside and as of tomorrow grandparents are not allowed to provide childcare.

LittleRa · 17/09/2020 19:54

mrsmummy1111 · 17/09/2020 19:54

@LittleRa I'm not sure then tbh. All I know is MIL said earlier she's pleased she's still allowed to pick them up from school, but they're supposed to be visiting us in 2 weekends time but currently only urgent travel allowed so looks like that may be put on hold

mrsmummy1111 · 17/09/2020 19:55

I'm not getting involved @LittleRa lol

No way am I being the bearer of bad news!

LittleRa · 17/09/2020 19:57

@mrsmummy1111 I think lots of people will be carrying on as usual because they don’t really have another option, like what are we meant to do?!

LittleRa · 17/09/2020 20:03

@mrsmummy1111 Apparently local MPs are trying to get to childcare thing changed

mrsmummy1111 · 17/09/2020 20:15

@LittleRa Well it's just like ONCE AGAIN it just feel like the single mothers, or the people who can't afford childcare are the ones being penalised the most. Whereas everyone else can go and sit in pubs and restaurants until 10pm, but grandma can't pick up the kids from school and give them tea in their own house!

Mococo1 · 17/09/2020 20:19

@LittleRa @mrsmummy1111 seems a bit silly to me especially as (well with my community) some people still live with their parents/their children live with their grandparents so how would the school even know!? Hope it all gets sorted for you both soon and you guys don't strsss out too much xxx

Bl0ndi3 · 17/09/2020 20:31

@Ltay2 ahh that's a good choice then my friend is a MW at blackpool Victoria 🙂 nice easy drive to blackpool too, I travel there a lot for work and enjoy the drive haha.

I could give birth at Blackburn birth centre whixh is about 5 mins or so from me but I don't wanna be so far away from like emergency care should I need it, so I'll be wanting Burnley birth centre if I can/am allowed. I was born in Wigan so I did think it would be nice to have my baby in Wigan too but it's a different NHS trust and I cba with the hassle. We live a stones throw away from the m65 so it's nice and easy to jump on motorway to Burnley and only about 20mins x

Ltay2 · 17/09/2020 20:38

@Bl0ndi3 Oh really! That's so funny that she could end up being my midwife 🤣 I definitely agree, Burnley seems such a long way from Blackburn in terms of emergency situations, I know of at least 2 people who started off at Blackburn birth centre and were taken in ambulance off to Burnley. Makes a scary situation so much worse being transferred to a whole other town!

All of OH friends who've recently had babies have all had them at Blackpool Vic too and had positive experiences even with some being difficult births so that's good to know too ☺️

Bl0ndi3 · 17/09/2020 20:46

@Ltay2 aww that's really good then and positive for you.

haha yeah by funny if it were my friend 😂

My best friend had her baby a couple years ago, she started at Blackburn birth centre and ended up having to go to Burnley as an emergency C and they both got really sick afterwards so I have been put off going there for sure!!!

Bl0ndi3 · 17/09/2020 20:50

@Ltay2 just seen something about most of Lancashire going into local lockdown 😢🤯

blodyn91 · 17/09/2020 21:27

these lockdowns are a joke! Cancer and mental health issues will kill more people than this virus in the end. Its sad. Makes me proper angry.

@SmileyT Also want to know if you were on Take me Out!!! Also my rhr is really low atm, down at 47 today, beginning of the month is was up at 57. Putting it down to being well rested.

Bl0ndi3 · 17/09/2020 22:50

@blodyn91 I know I'm so over it now!! 🤨🥺

Catherinettc · 17/09/2020 23:12

I'm supposed to be travelling from Northern Ireland to Liverpool on Saturday to help my eldest settle into uni accommodation etc and home Tuesday. Now I'm worried about the lockdown thing. Will I be able to travel home again? Not sure whether to risk being stranded in Liverpool when my other kids and hubby in Northern Ireland Confused

Mustbemad82 · 18/09/2020 06:47

@SmileyT take me out days, you slipped that in casually , you need to tell us more!

I’ve caught up on all th e threads , sounds like everyone is doing well
I’ve got another appointment today for a follow up in the light of the continued spotting
I get soooooo anxious before these things

Mustbemad82 · 18/09/2020 07:07

Also TMI alert but does anyone have an increase in discharge, I feel soaked when I go out walking ! It really is gross
