@Sausage1990 Nasty ass dreams are really common in pregnancy. A few weeks ago I dreamed something really similar and I was gutted for days. Like it was a premonition!!
Nap dreams are even worse as you're not in a deep sleep it feels so real.

Just wait to further in your pregnancy you'll be having vivid sex dreams and all sorts of weird things!!! Pregnancy is insane.

And @Noble89 That pic is absolutely gorgeous.

I dreamt that I was a serial killer last night wtf but the worse part was OH found out and left me and I woke up sad about that 😂👀🙄

Also I took my final FRER, ideally I'd have waited another day or even 2 to get a stupidly good dye stealer but I'm fairly satisfied with this one and the latest IC has a solid line 🥳

I've got 8 more ICs I am probs going to use them until I take my final weeks one next week and then I will officially stop testing, honest!

I took a CB digital this morning and got 3+ weeks which is a bit of a shock as I'm only 4 weeks 5 days. I don't know why I can't just be happy - now started worrying it is a sign of an ectopic pregnancy or something as having some low pains around ovaries. Am I going mad? How have you guys relaxed/quashed the anxiety?

Report
Catherinettc · 17/09/2020 08:53

@Sophi123 I've been a nervous wreck since the 1at positive test and this is my 4th child lol. Think its natural to be anxious so try not to worry to much. Maybe ur just a day or 2 ahead of what u thought. Easier said than done but just try to relax. Failing that just come here and rant etc and the girls will bring u back down to earth ❤ ive needed a few virtual slaps from this thread already 🤣🤣 xx

Bl0ndi3 · 17/09/2020 08:58

@Sophi123 oh lovely please don't worry. Those tests are not 100% accurate and I would think having higher levels of HCG to get 3+ early is probably a good thing if nothing else? Especially if you've no other signs! Like @Catherinettc says you could also be a couple days further along than you think too.

Best thing you can do for you and bub cooking away in there is to relax and enjoy the fact that as of right now you're pregnant 🥰 I know it's hard, I'm the same, but I'm trying really hard to just relax and enjoy that I'm here and there's currently no signs of anything going wrong. Have you got any private scans or just waiting for dating?

Report
Mococo1 · 17/09/2020 09:27

@Sophi123 I really would not worry at all it's only two days out and defo could be due to ovulation e.g you may have ovulated 12hours after your peak as oppose to 48hours after so might be a day or two ahead- it's a milestone to get 3+ and such a relief the pregnancy is progressing well 😬

if it helps I got mine at 4w6days with dilute urine and anxiety is normal! You would be worried if you didn't get a 3+ so don't worry it is completely natural you are not going mad! Xx

@Bl0ndi3 great progression there!

@blodyn91 yay to the scan date wooooo!!! Not long to go I'm excited to see your bean it's kept us waiting ❤️

@zippityzip again Mrs superwoman you are! AL and rest is defo needed for you..I feel to treat you to a spa day you do wayyyy to much! I've heard of these vivid sex dreams as well..I want to have some or get some from DH atleast 😂

@Noble89 yay to the cute announcement! So adorable 🥰

I told 3 of my friends I'm pregnant yesterday after the scan- one rang me in absolute tears, the other called me and literally screamed and the third could not stop squealing due to excitement 😬 was so nice lol

@Sausage1990 my size 12 leggings have stopped fitting overnight ☹️☹️☹️

Does anyone know when I can start wearing maternity leggings? I feel like normal leggings are cutting me off at the wrong point now so it's really uncomfortable - I am also cramping quite a fair bit and my legs hurt I'm not too concerned as scan went well yesterday- is it just a lot of stretching?? Xx

Report
Cocoblue22 · 17/09/2020 09:45

@Mococo1 get those maternity leggins on....seriously I've been in my maternity clothes since 10 weeks go for it you'll feel so much comfier x

@Sophi123 if you look uo the hcg range for the clear blue indicator and then compare it with the average hcg levels for women you’ll see that they aren’t very accurate
3+ weeks I think has a cut off of around 4000 (could be less) and your range could just be higher - it’s still normal

@Mococo1 yes I don’t think I’ve gone a day without some sort of cramping
I veer between being super chilled and then wondering whether I should book a scan every third day! No middle ground

Sausage1990 · 17/09/2020 11:45

@zippityzip well I shall look forward to some more pleasant vivid dreams in the 2nd trimester 😉

@Mococo1 oh OK so glad your friends were so excited for you. I'm sure it makes it feel more real. I've gone for the maternity leggings and I'll be in them by next week. I'm sure (10weeks) because they just sit in a better place so are more comfortable. Even if it's just bloat its definitely not comfortable. I got mine from love leggings and they have a maternity range. They're aboit £15 but really nice thick fabric so good knicker coverage 😊 I havnt worn them yet but they were definitely comfy when I tried them on.

@sophi123 the worry is so normal in the early early days we've all been there and many of us still have our wobbles. Tips on relaxing into it I think is just giving it time and also getting ourself an early scan if the anxiety is too much. Most of us who've had them felt they were worth the cost to help us relax a bit more. Otherwise it's just distractions and positive thinking as much as you can. 💕 But remember we're all here for any worries, stresses and support xx

Thank you so much @Catherinettc @Bl0ndi3 @Cocoblue22 @Mustbemad82 @Sausage1990 - your words and advice is so appreciated. What a lovely group! I am going to try and take all your advice and take the 3+ as a good sign and just relax as best I can! I have been thinking about getting an early scan, but am quite nervous of transvaginal scans because of history of vaginismus. Windows of the womb near me says that abdominal scans are usually best from 10 weeks so maybe have to wait for that...? xx

Just curious guys but what symptoms did you have so far and when did they start?

I've just started getting sore boobs which I had last time too! I'm actually relieved that they're hurting 😂

Was a bit worried that my tests were progressing better but no symptoms

Report
Mococo1 · 17/09/2020 12:55

@Bl0ndi3 I barely had any till 7 weeks but sore boobs! You might be lucky without symptoms but it's worrying when you're watching out for some with reassurance! Trust me when they kick in (nausea/fatigue) you wish for the easier days 😭

I think it was the Emma bump to baby pack, I can't remember now! I also got mama mio in a bounty pack from my midwife (got it at my booking appointment with my normal notes book) so I now have two bottles of the stuff haven't used it yet xx

@Bl0ndi3 the most obvious was my boobs as I cant sleep on my belly anymore 😩 I sometimes have a few stabs, but no major cramps. Ive felt tired a couple of days, but I have only managed to nap once, just went to bed mega early. That was a few weeks back now so around week 6. My nausea was bad last weekend at week 9, but been good since. I don't really feel very pregnant atm other than my boobs, and dizzyness when I stand up, which started at around week 8.
My symptoms are mild compared to many on here. I have kept very active, the more dog walks I go on the better I feel.

@Mococo1 cant wait to go pick mine up!
My bio oil has arrived today
@zippityzip my gran drinks them as well, shes 91 and had surgery a few years back to remove bowel cancer, never needed chemo and she swears by them. She lives on her own and is a queen so I believe in everything she does! (she has a shot of Whiskey every night before bed- might take this up in my 50s).
Also sounds like you need a break!! Make sure you pamper yourself on your day off. Not sure how old your kids are, but mum used to pay us to hoover, dust and wash the dishes (50p a room or something), if your kids can help with housework 😉

I can't stop searching for baby stuff on ebay and FB market place 🙈 so many bargains and I just want to press buy

Is anyone else here in the North East where local lockdown restrictions are coming in tomorrow? Or indeed anywhere else where local lockdown is in place?

Report
Ltay2 · 17/09/2020 18:47

@LittleRa I work in Blackburn where there has been a local lockdown, and I also live very near to Preston that also has had one. I don't feel like it's really made a lot of difference to me personally as I've still been going to work and my social life is non existent anyway 🤣

@Bl0ndi3 The only real and very obvious symptom for me has been EXTREME fatigue. I've been sleeping most nights 8:30 - 7:30 and then nap for 2 hours in the day while DS naps too! It's been horrendous but I'm 12 weeks now so hoping it starts to get better. Someone further downthread mentioned spatone which I also highly recommend. I was told to take it in a glass of orange juice as the vit C helps (for whatever reason) but I can now at least stay awake for a few hours in the day which was previously a struggle.
That started pretty much straight away though at about 6/7 weeks.
I wouldn't say I've had food "aversions" but I've not fancied much to eat, but am constantly hungry. And I mean constantly. No nausea just real hunger but then only wanting pasta / jacket potato or a roast dinner 🤣 ALL THE BEIGE
