I’ve been up in the night spewing my guts out 🤮 and have also woken up this morning with a random large bruise on my arm. DP says I shot out of bed to the loo to be sick so maybe bumped into door frame or door handle on the way Confused Either way I am to tired today and wish I could have a day in bed! Happy Friday everyone!!

LittleRa · 02/10/2020 07:19

*so tired (not to tired... as it would it too tired if I meant that!!) 😂

Mrsi2020 · 02/10/2020 07:35

@LittleRa oh god at your sickness! Altho I’m slightly jealous!

@SmileyT lol good! Are you muttering under your breath “.....come here now!” As if you’re in the shop? I used to practice calling my kids hahaha!!!

I’m super anxious, feel like all my symptoms are gone and rhr has dropped a few 😭 fingers crossed it’s normal and symptoms resume soon, not that I want to be sick but after having HG last two pregs I am v uncertain at being 7.5 weeks and no major sickness xxx

mrsmummy1111 · 02/10/2020 07:57

@Mrsi2020 I think tracking rhr or temp after you're already pregnant is a bit of a recipe for disaster. I see so many threads on here from people panicking that they're not what they expected them to be, or they've deviated some how and thinking it means bad news, but the reality is pregnancy does weird things to our body and you really shouldn't rely on reading them as they'll end up sending you loopy overthinking. My symptoms have come & gone with both my pregnancies and it's never meant anything, but of course everyone is different and you know your own body. If you're concerned, don't ever be scared to call EPU and chat to them. Remember every pregnancy is different and maybe you'll just get lucky this time!!!

Shit about the sickness @LittleRa especially in the middle of the night. That's just out of order.

Join the club @Busybee143 - my sleeping has been horrendous pretty much since finding out I was pregnant, did little one go off in the end?

Does anyone else suffer from pregnancy insomnia? It normally happens after I've got up for a wee I then lay there awake for hours after. Sometimes I just wake for no reason, don't even need the loo just wake at 3am wide awake and don't fall back off for an hour. It's driving me loopy. Luckily my son is a TOTAL DUDE and normally doesn't wake me until after 7. Today was 7:40 so he's in my good books.

zippityzip · 02/10/2020 08:16

@Busybee143 You must be exhausted! I haven't had sleepless nights with my kids for ages so I'm really scared how I'm going to cope again. How are you feeling now? Yoda baby 😂

@LittleRa Oh sod that for a laugh - spewing in the night. No. Night time is for sleeping.

@Mrsi2020 I remember about 7 or 8 weeks thinking, oh shit, because I actually felt ok for a few days and was convinced it was all over. But I'm still going!! It's normal to fluctuate.

@mrsmummy1111 Ah your son is a good egg. My girls haven't slept to 7.40 in years. I'm usually up at 5.30 midweek and by 6 usually the kids are up asking for breakfast.
I don't get the insomnia so much but restless legs and that pisses me off something chronic but I read that tonic water can help 🤷🏼‍♀️ I'll give it a bash.

Pissing down today 🙄 could do without that today.

Also - it's my 4th wedding anniversary coming up soon. Usually I get a gift that corresponds with what it is, and this year is linen or silk?! Wtf can I buy a man that's linen or silk?!
Last year was leather so I got us matching passport holders but I'm totally stumped now.

Bl0ndi3 · 02/10/2020 08:34

Tbh my only symptom has been sore boobs (SO SORE!!) I've had maybe one or two days where I've felt a bit sick or gross but I've otherwise been totally fine. I do wonder if those days I just willed myself to feel sick so I did haha!! I'm just hoping I'm one of those who doesn't get symptoms but I'd be comforted if I were feeling it more so I know how you feel @Mrsi2020 try not to worry it can and probably is totally normal to have symptoms, not have any and for them to dip in and out xx

SmileyT · 02/10/2020 08:43

@Busybee143 yes just try and enjoy it, at this moment everything is as perfect as it could be it's just our minds that ruin this time for us x

@LittleRa hope you are calling in sick 🤢 get some rest my lovely xx

@Mrsi2020 haha no definitely not practicing the name I don't even say it in my head and won't until I'm much further along 🙈 was going to write a whole thing but basically just what @Bl0ndi3 and @mrsmummy1111 said... I still wear my Fitbit as I love the data and haven't taken it off in 4years but definitely stop tracking it it stresses you x

@zippityzip does hubby wear suits for work? Tie and pocket squares?

@mrsmummy1111 yep I feel you, I was up at 2.30am for 2hrs this morning I don't even need to wee in the night anymore 😴

zippityzip · 02/10/2020 08:55

@SmileyT Literally only ever seen him in a suit for weddings so that's a lovely idea but wouldn't mean anything to him.

Plus he is the least materialistic man I know. The only thing he's pissy about is buying expensive gravy. He hates "stuff". He would live in a house with just a sofa and fridge if he could. Not forgetting his bday is right on top of Xmas too.

blodyn91 · 02/10/2020 09:02

@zippityzip a blind fold 😉

@Busybee143 they dated me at 12 weeks and from when I tracked Ovulation with bbt and OPKs I should be 11+5. I still think baby will arrive on April the 14th as the best 30th present.

@Mrsi2020 so around when you are now my RHR plummeted, its so so low these days, like 47! But my scan was perfect. Im like Blondi and not had that many symptoms anyway, few days of feeling hangover, but a dog walk usually sorted that out. Very common not to feel sock ☺️ counting myself lucky really compared to @LittleRa

@mrsmummy1111 Omg yes last night! Was it the full moon? First time its happened to me, so currently still in bed 🤭 perks of wfh and boss knowing I need easy days

Mococo1 · 02/10/2020 09:10

@SmileyT @mrsmummy1111 I have it!! the first few weeks I had such bad fatigue I slept like a log now I'm up a few hours each night and having vivid dreams

@Busybee143 such a cutey! I would say it's another little girl from the scan xxx

@Mrsi2020 my symptoms were all over the place, it made me think the absolute worst and at times I barely felt pregnant- maybe this pregnancy will be easy for you without any HG 😬👍🏽

@zippityzip im with @SmileyT tie/pocketsquare for sklk....maybe a linen personalised hankie! Me and DH have done this thing for the past couple of years- we have a £10 budget and make each other gifts- I bought and jazzed up/personalised a linen apron last year lol so that's an option! he didn't get the hint to do some naked cooking got me tho but I made him wear it for me anyway looool 😆

@SmileyT I fear if I share names I'll out myself majorly 😂 but I feel like it's a boy now anyway! so better start looking at boys names they are so hard for me to decide!

I'm thinking to book a gender/well being scan next Sunday and find out but il be 16w on the dot- reckon it will be too early to tell?? Xx

mrsmummy1111 · 02/10/2020 09:23

Oh fuck the yearly anniversary present struggle. @zippityzip

A silk robe? Hugh Hefner style 😉
Or pyjamas?
My husband doesn't wear pyjamas but loves pj bottoms or a robe around the house.

Is there anything he's really into?

We're meeting a friend at soft play this morning but this weather is vile I'm trying to pluck up the courage to leave the house

mrsmummy1111 · 02/10/2020 09:26

Thank GOD it's not just me up in the night. Not to take joy in shared misery or anything....
But honestly every night without fail. Just awake for hours. I'll send you all a little hello tonight 👋🏼

SmileyT · 02/10/2020 10:38

Just had my 16week appt and it was 4min 12seconds long on the phone 🤣 actually unclear what the purpose was, she asked me how I found the scan, told me that my bloods and urine were all good, asked what my risk was from screening, said I'd receive a letter about my 26week appt and told me that if all was well at the next scan that would be my final scan 😬

@Mococo1 they told me gender at 15weeks and she said within about 15seconds she could tell me the gender if I wanted to know, if position isn't ideal they'll normally rebook you for free or make you go for a walk 👌🏾

blodyn91 · 02/10/2020 11:25

hmmm do we not get a scan between 30-40 weeks to check on position? I know my sister had 100s of scans. But then again they weren't happy with the 16week scan, and she ended up having a planned C-section 2 weeks early because of risks

mrsmummy1111 · 02/10/2020 11:35

I think it depends on the trust @blodyn91 - my trust gives a 12, 20 and 36 week scan as standard but I know not every hospital does

zippityzip · 02/10/2020 11:55

Yep I have 12, 20 week and 30 something "growth scan" as well. Although I think that's quite new.
Although I had growth scans before with previous gestational diabetes and I'm unfortunate enough to have massive - and I mean massive, babies.

Mococo1 · 02/10/2020 12:04

@blodyn91 I think London trusts are stingy and only give you a 12week and 20week scan if all is well - if you are diabetic or have any other problems they will give you a growth scan at 32/34weeks! all my friends recommended we get a private scan done around that time just to check all is okay!

zippityzip · 02/10/2020 12:14

@mrsmummy1111 how was soft play?

mrsmummy1111 · 02/10/2020 12:20

CHAOS!!!!! @zippityzip

We went to crayzee barn, your two are probably too old for that now, BUT I think we should make a pact to take the new ones there one day....

It used to be a bit of a free for all, but they're only allowing a set number of people in at a time now, so everyone was queueing outside in the pissing rain only for half of them to be told to F off cos there's no space. We got in luckily but it wasn't pretty.

zippityzip · 02/10/2020 12:33

@mrsmummy1111 Oh lord that's SO CLOSE TO ME. Definitely, I love their Mac and cheese in there.

You're right my kids are a bit too big now which is sad 😒 it was always a great easy option for "go fuck yourselves and knacker yourself out whilst I sit her supervising with coffee".

Is soft play ever worth standing in the rain for though lol.

SmileyT · 02/10/2020 12:34

Oh I'd looked on the NHS website ages ago and thought 2 scans was standard but looks like everyone else is getting a freebie - I get the feeling that if there is no issue in bloods/ urine/ measurements then they'll just leave me to it 🤣

@zippityzip ooh how big were your babies? my nephews were both over 10lbs and I found that shocking they came out looking about 6month olds 🙈

OP posts:
blodyn91 · 02/10/2020 12:38

o wow so different with different trusts, I would definitely get a later private scan if I don't get one at 30 something week. Ill have to check.
@zippityzip I have a feeling mine will be big, both my sisters were, my dad was huge and so was my OH. 😬😬

mrsmummy1111 · 02/10/2020 12:46

@zippityzip It's a standard Friday morning "go away and burn all your energy off then go home and have a nice long nap so I can have lunch in peace" activity.

Soft play is NEVER worth the rain but luckily my friend got there early and got us a table so I swanned right in like lady muck. Too posh to queue y'see.

Although I never thought I'd hear anyone be disappointed their kids were too old for soft play 🤣 I can't wait until they're old enough to sit at home and watch telly without expecting me to entertain them!

Bl0ndi3 · 02/10/2020 12:52

I think I only get 12 and 20 week scans too 👀🙄🤷🏼‍♀️

Busybee143 · 02/10/2020 13:22

@mrsmummy1111 dd went down at 4 and then got up at 6 😂 1 more lesson to teach then its the weekend?!
@SmileyT I am going to enjoy every second from now on, new leaf!
@blodyn91 it seems them being out is quite common then.
@Mococo1 my wife would be over the moon with another little girl I don't mind either way.

I think I'll be booking a private 16 week scan. I think I'll find out on Monday when my 12 week scan is too. Exciting!!!!
