@Sausage1990 just checking in after a few days off and I am absolutely heartbroken for you 💔💔💔💔 sending you all my thoughts

MrsEmilyB · 01/10/2020 16:31

Love the name and age talk ladies. I'm 30 but will be 31 by the time baby is born. First child!

Names on our list currently for boys:
Felix / Jasper / Oscar / Henry

We were looking through DH's family tree and found a "Beaumont" back in the way back when and he now likes that too 😂 we are just not rich enough! But Beau is quite cute. I have a friend with a Bowen nn. Bo, though, so probably too similar.

Girls we are more stuck on:
India / Florence (nn. Effie)

India I've loved since I was about 12 where a book I read had India as the protagonist. It was DH's fave name too until recently where Florence too over. But it's #15 now so v common

FairyLights2 · 01/10/2020 18:52

@mrsmummy1111 SOOOOOO HAPPPYYYYYY FOR YOU! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Congrats! I was thinking about you the other day. So glad you received positive news xx

FairyLights2 · 01/10/2020 18:59

Speaking of names, I really get inspired by movies or TV shows. Huge fan of GoT and really like the names Arya, Daenerys, Sansa, Jon and Tyrion. But would I actually name my chn after these fictional characters? I would but I don't think DH would let me.

MrsEmilyB · 01/10/2020 19:12

@mrsmummy1111 just making my way back through the chat and I am absolutely ecstatic for you ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 such lovely news!

MrsEmilyB · 01/10/2020 19:13

@FairyLights2 Aria was on our list for quite a while before getting PG but it's shot up the top 100 this year! Arya still remains a more unusual spelling

blodyn91 · 01/10/2020 19:14

@FairyLights2 I would name my daughter Lagitha from the vikings as she is just incredible!

Just ordered a new car, gone for a white Hyundai Kona hybrid. Hoping a pram will fit in the boot. Can't wait to rid of this Golf that has been jinxed from the moment I had it! Going to save so much on benefit in kind tax 😌 Hopefully it arrives before Christmas.

@mrsmummy1111 so so happy for you! You had to prepare for the worse its only natural, don't ever let yourself feel guilty or let anybody judge you! You can finally relax and enjoy this pregnancy (I know relaxing is pretty impossible but we can all try)

blodyn91 · 01/10/2020 19:15

Also similar to Aria you have Arian, which in welsh means silver. Also like that but OH doesn't

Bl0ndi3 · 01/10/2020 19:22

@FairyLights2 I LOVE the name aria have done since I watched pretty little liars - thanks to that I also love spender for a girl but OH swiftly vetoed both! I think you could get away with some but not many GOT names haha!

@blodyn91 omgosh don't give my OH ideas he would legit call our DS ragnor if I would let him cause he's obsessed haha!

Is it a company car?

Bl0ndi3 · 01/10/2020 19:23

SPENCER LOL NOT SPENDER

blodyn91 · 01/10/2020 20:13

@Bl0ndi3 I did love Ragnor, but I wanted him and Lagitha to end up back together and live in that little cottage, not die the way he did. At least they made up and still looked in love 😄 I got so invested in Vikings 🙈

yes company car. Probably better off buying my own and claim fuel back, but the crash yesterday made me think otherwise, as its been so easy to sort. (plus all the punctures ive had)

Dipsy77 · 01/10/2020 20:19

@SmileyT I have in my left side but not in my right. The midwife said I have an anterior placenta on the right you could hear it on the Doppler so that will be why I haven't really felt much. When she was pressing on they were both kicking and rolling and I could feel it xx

Bl0ndi3 · 01/10/2020 20:51

@blodyn91 I'm the same I love having a company car it's so easy maintenance wise and I get to replace every 3 years! I'll be gutted to lose it if I am made redundant it's such a good perk to have! Xx

blodyn91 · 01/10/2020 21:10

@bl0ndi3 when do you hear about that? really hope you are safe!! Was it it that you do again?

Mrsi2020 · 01/10/2020 21:19

Hey all, bout to catch up now! Help tho! I am 7+2 abs all symptoms are completely gone today? No nausea or sore boobs or tiredness, anyone else have this? I’m panicking xxx

Bl0ndi3 · 01/10/2020 21:20

@blodyn91 I will actually find out at 9am Wednesday whether I'm likely safe or likely going to be made redundant so not too long to wait now xxx

I work in insurance I investigate personal injury claims x

Mrsi2020 · 01/10/2020 21:25

@mrsmummy1111 omg that is AMAZING news!!! You’ve cheered me right up

@SmileyT I’m dying to know your baby name 🤣🤣🤣 xxx

Bl0ndi3 · 01/10/2020 21:32

@Mrsi2020 there's a girl in my May 2021 group who's just had a scan as her symptoms disappeared and she passed some clots and baby was perfectly fine so it's not necessarily something to worry about x

Busybee143 · 01/10/2020 21:54

@mrsmummy1111 so glad the baby is Ok!
Ohh @Bl0ndi3 exciting, I wonder if you will have guessed right!
@Mrsi2020 my symptoms have been coming and going throughout please try not to worry.
Well I was brave guys, I honestly wanted to cry and run away and not go to my scan but I did. To my disbelief there was a tiny baby in there rolling and kicking away, the heartbeat was nice and strong. I was measuring 9+2 but I'm 10 weeks (anyone experienced similar?) and she said that was completely normal. I was so happy there was a baby in there I cried from relief of stress and worry. I'm totally in love already.

Bl0ndi3 · 01/10/2020 22:01

@Busybee143 what have I guessed! 😂😂😂👀

mrsmummy1111 · 01/10/2020 22:02

Thanks Girls!!

Yes @Busybee143 that's totally normal. You thought you were 10 weeks based on your LMP is that right? That bases it on an average 28 day cycle with ovulation day on day 14, but of course not everyone ovulates on day 14. Your due date will be set at your 12 week dating scan, as by that point they can determine how many weeks you actually are based on how big your baby is, and therefore when you ovulated. But I'd say it's unlikely to change drastically now, they will just push your due date back a bit so you're actually 5 days less pregnant than you thought....(if that makes sense).

I was the opposite and thought I was 12 + 2 at my scan, but they dated me 12 + 6 and pushed my due date forward 4 days. Totally normal.
Congrats on a healthy little baby and a lovely scan!

Mrsi2020 · 01/10/2020 22:05

@Bl0ndi3 @Busybee143 thank you girls so much, I needed tk read that! Your scan is lovely hun, so happy for you! Xxx

Busybee143 · 01/10/2020 22:29

@Bl0ndi3 that your having two girls!
Thanks for the info @mrsmummy1111 that's really helpful.
@Mrsi2020 thankyou!

SmileyT · 02/10/2020 03:37

@MrsEmilyB ooh I love those boys names, really cute, I find girls names so much harder to think of aswell x

@blodyn91 yay to a new car, company cars are so convenient no messing around at all, I was sad when I had to give mine back when I left my last job... it was something I never would've picked but so big and easy x

@Bl0ndi3 not long at all until you find out about the job situation, really hoping it's one thing off your mind next week 🤞

@Mrsi2020 I definitely had days when I felt completely normal I think it's standard for symptoms to feel worse/ better some days. Don't worry I will tell you guys as soon as I've named him properly x

@Busybee143 I'm so glad all was well with your scan, how are you feeling? and as @mrsmummy1111 said dates changing is completely normal. At your dating scan you'll get official due date which isn't based on actual conception date just size. The best way to think about it is that every baby doesn't come out the same size because they don't grow at the exact same rate, they use a table and just use the 12week scan to assess against the 'average' length. I had 3 scans before my dating scan and measured a couple days out on them all and ended up nearly a week different at dating scan x

@SmileyT I think I'm still a little in shock haha. I'm feeling a little uneasy right now as I've just woke up sweating in bed and now I'm like omg have I got too hot, is the baby OK, but I know I'm just being silly. Must relax!!
My wife thinks it's hilarious because now my due date has turned to the 4th of May so I'm currently nicknamed yoda baby so she's over the moon 😂
I'm glad to hear changing dates is normal, I know I now just need to relax and enjoy being pregnant, today's scan put me 5 days behind but I guess I just might get to be pregnant for longer 😁 Booking appointment on Monday so I've got to tell work today.
If you're wondering why I'm up BTW dd is being a madam and having one of those nights where her cot is not good enough for one's highness. Long day ahead 😂
