@Ltay2 oooh you've just liked my comment on something I think hehe

@Mococo1 OH thinks I'm nuts but I love seeing their designs like you and then the final result 👀😍

I have never and will never watch OBEM I want to be totally ignorant going into childbirth hahaha

FairyLights2 · 21/09/2020 22:56

@SmileyT soooo happy for you! Yaaaaaaaay! Congrats 🎉💙💙💙💙💙

Sausage1990 · 21/09/2020 23:39

@Mococo1 ohhh a voucher sounds great. Always up for discount 😊 thank you. Xx

zippityzip · 22/09/2020 06:03

@SmileyT The first gender reveal!!!! And little boy!!!!! Ahhhhh he has such a cute head. 😍😍

You're all gonna tempt me into finding out at this rate 😂😂

@Bl0ndi3 You've gotta watch it!!!!! It's amazing.

zippityzip · 22/09/2020 06:06

I love grand designs and what pisses me off is when they go, oh I make soap and sell it on Facebook and my husband is a freelance paper clip seller and we have a house with no mortgage to sell and add to our current budget of 1.5 mil and I just get rage.

I have a 3 bed so big enough for current kids and the baby but I was a four bed 😒 probably 5 actually so I could have an office. So our next house (which we can't afford yet by miles) needs to be our last house. Even toying with the idea of buying a shithole in a few years. Need some long lost distant relatives to start dishing out inheritance.

zippityzip · 22/09/2020 06:37

Can I ask what is everyone using on their skin at the moment.

Last year I went through a 7 month course of roaccutane and despite the nosebleeds, cracked lips, aching joints etc it was quite literally life changing for me and for the first time in my entire life I had clear skin.

Now I'm breaking out again 🤬 and we can't use retinols or anything like that. I've been using sudocrem overnight but it's barely having an effect. Does anyone have a magic cure!?

Mococo1 · 22/09/2020 06:38

@zippityzip I just burst out laughing because it's so true soap seller and paper clip selllers making 2m houses 😂 everyone on there is rich and oops went about 100k over budget but never mind eh- they just had to have a brushed cement floor and one seamless block of glass instead of 3 panels 😂😂

Mococo1 · 22/09/2020 06:51

Hey @zippityzip I'm in the same boat! Bit diff my skin is quite honestly a nightmare - I suffer from post inflammatory hyperpigmentation which means every time I get a spot (even if I don't pick it) my immune response causes a dark mark to form (so I look like I have scars all over) and they don't budge or lighten for minimum a year/18months it's awful- still have cheek scars from my wedding nearly 2years

Finally found a cream that works for me it is so expensive but it contains every ingredient we aren't allowed 😩 retinal hydroquinine AHAs lol and is not safe for pregnancy at all. So far I got sweet almond oil to try and help with scars and prevention of stretchmarks

Tea tree is quite good? This is saved link on my favourites tho as stuff I might buy (currently ordered ordinary azalic acid but it's in the post atm and I think il invest in cerave wash)

Sausage1990 · 22/09/2020 07:06

@zippityzip @Mococo1 I'm generally really lucky with my skin and don't get alot of breakouts but when I do they're hormonal and I get these very painful cystic spots that always mark my skin for ages regardless of if I've touched them or not.

I have found that Clinique do a great spot treatment called Acne Solution Clearing Gel and I find it visibly reduced the redness and soreness of my spots and I find they don't last quite so long either. You can add a thin layer to the trouble area as part of your skin routine or you can use it as a spot treatment when you have a breakout. I so the latter and just put it in my spots before bed and the next morning after cleansing.

It uses salicylic acid rather than anything else and apparently that's safe if used up to twice a day. I've attached some photos of the bottle, the ingredients & my Google search about salicylic acid 😊

@SmileyT were you nervous as you knew you wanted a boy?? So happy you got what you wanted 🙌 I quite often get told by friends I must have worms by the amount I eat 🤣 Nope I just never sit still 😆

OMG I love grand design, and been watching he under the hammer as well. OBEM no thanks 🤣

Ive not joined any FB group, too scared that someone I know is on it! Need to tell my boss before I let anyone else know really.

Catherinettc · 22/09/2020 08:00

@SmileyT aaaw so happy for you!! You can really prepare now!! Auch a lovely clear pic too 😍 I cant wait for mine now. Last baby was 13 years ago so pic quality was quite grainy back then xxx

Ltay2 · 22/09/2020 08:07

@Bl0ndi3 I did like the comment 🥳 omg you have to watch OBEM!! I don't think it's scary I think it gives a really nice (and real!) version of labour and birth it always makes me cry!!

@zippityzip I don't really use anything special on my face, I just have lidl face cream which I use every week day morning before I put my make up on! I've just yesterday started using bio oil on my belly and boobs too as I'm already starting with stretch marks so don't want to be covered in welts 🙈

@blodyn91 I frantically scrolled through every member of the fb group to check I didn't know anyone before deciding to stay and still check every now and again to check for new members 😂

Bl0ndi3 · 22/09/2020 08:48

@Mococo1 aww did you? That's ace I'll share some of My journal pages when I have completed them properly in pen. I had done quite a bit in it before the miscarriage and couldn't face looking at it for a while it made me so sad but I've copied those pages now into a new journal and started filling it in again but still all in pencil just in case 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

@zippityzip @Ltay2 haha ok maybe I will watch it well when I'm further along I might but it scares me 😂

@zippityzip free lance paper clip seller 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 you're so funny
Also I have some cleansing pads from Aldi that are really good and they contain glycolic acid which I read is safe in pregnancy in small doses so I assume a quick wipe twice a day is fine. They're like £3 and I've found they make my skin look really good

zippityzip · 22/09/2020 09:51

Already have the worlds most awkward baby. It was bottom up with its back to us so took ages to get some pictures.
I was jiggled about and turned on my side and had to go for a walk and come back.

Luckily baby turned but only long enough to get the pics and measurements and flipped over again. It was crazy as on the screen it did a full spin and because she was pressing on my tummy I could actually feel it move like a goldfish.

All is looking good, stomach and kidneys were working. Arms and legs and toes and a massive head. I literally saw teeny tiny fingers. Then it crossed its legs and put its hands over its face!!

So gutted that DH wasn't there to see it all.

So my official due date is nowwwwwww 31st March and I'm 12+6 today.

Madz123 · 22/09/2020 10:32

@SmileyT congratulations! So exciting that you already know the gender!

@zippityzip lovely scan photo- glad everything went well!

Bl0ndi3 · 22/09/2020 10:39

@zippityzip that's amazing ❤️❤️ just a shame your DH couldn't be there with you 😞

mrsmummy1111 · 22/09/2020 10:51

CONGRATS @zippityzip !!!!!! Amazing photo and so thrilled everything went well!!

mrsmummy1111 · 22/09/2020 10:52

Also in my panic yesterday I forgot to updated my EDD. Now due 30th March as I'm further along than they thought. 13 weeks today ❤️

Bl0ndi3 · 22/09/2020 10:53

@mrsmummy1111 how are you feeling? I came across your thread yesterday and sounds like you have some people with experience and reassuring stories xx

mrsmummy1111 · 22/09/2020 11:12

Thanks @Bl0ndi3 I know! Some really useful and reassuring responses, made me feel 100x better to be honest. And all completely non-judgmental (which is more than I expect from MN if I'm being brutally honest!)

I feel much better this morning though. More positive. But equally shitting my pants, as despite the likelihood being very slim, there is of course a small chance and that's a scary place to be.

Bl0ndi3 · 22/09/2020 13:31

@mrsmummy1111 it's the unknown that is the worst isn't it and the waiting!!! but take comfort in the stories you've heard and the very strong possibility that everything is absolutely fine. Fingers crossed you get the results as quick as some of those ladies did 😘

SmileyT · 22/09/2020 14:57

Thanks for all the congratulations, honestly I'm so happy I could cry 😭 and @Mococo1 most places say they can't tell gender until 16weeks, this wasn't a gender scan but sonographer was so lovely and just offered to tell us (need to cancel my gender scan booked for next week now - the potty shot was pretty conclusive 😂)

@zippityzip haha you really do make me laugh, such a dry sense of humour I love it. It is so true buying somewhere rundown or just land is the way forward... my parents built the house they live in now and it's crazy how cheap it is to build a 5bed 3 bath with separate granny flat with kitchen and bathroom 🤯 If all my family and friends didn't live in London I'd definitely move back up north. I don't use anything at all on my skin, this year has been a detox for it, haven't worn any make up since Feb and just use a simple light moisturiser daily... so about as useful as a choc teapot to you 🤪 ahh so exciting another fab scan 🥰

@blodyn91 I'd been convinced it was a girl so I was honestly so shocked when she showed me his bits... told everyone i work with daily this morning in our morning meeting (only 6 of us) so feels very real now even though I'm still early 😬

@mrsmummy1111 it's a good thing about MN whatever you are going through there will be somebody that has been there. Do they call you with the results? Or have you already got another appt booked? x

Well I've just had a very ominous email meeting invite from senior management at work and a lot of my colleagues who have also had it are worried it's going to be job cuts 😖😖😖😖😖

FairyLights2 · 22/09/2020 15:32

@zippityzip awww beautiful pic! So happy for you ❤️ I guess we're no longer due date twins though lol.

@Mococo1 @SmileyT thank you ladies x

zippityzip · 22/09/2020 16:01

Thanks all for the congrats 😁😁😁

@FairyLights2 I know booooo. But all my babies are damn well late though.

How are you feeling today @mrsmummy1111 you're due one day before me!

@Bl0ndi3 oh shit. When is the meeting? How long are you going to be tortured for?
