@Mococo1 thanks lovely that's really good info on the Doppler, I've booked an extra scan for tomorrow and DP doesn't want me to get a Doppler so I'll see how I get on 👌🏾 definitely try and get a nap in, I've booked a yoga class for 4pm in the city and I already can't be bothered and yes I'm the McDs girl 🤣

@Sophi123 totally understand not wanting to be too hopeful but we've all get everything crossed for you and hopefully they can at least take bloods tomorrow xx

@Bl0ndi3 sounds like a fab day out in Blackpool and your body was ready for a rest when you got home ☺️

@Busybee143 I think it's probably a good idea to wait until your dating scan is booked as it'll give you a better idea on when is best to book a private scan or if you need one x

@SmileyT I personally really like my Doppler and find it easy to tell what sound is what however (the nurse in me needs to say this) it can cause some people a lot of panic if they cannot find the heartbeat. Also the main issue with them is that later on some people get reduced movements etc but because they think they hear a heartbeat they don't get medical advice which is obviously very dangerous. But like I said- I really like mine!

blodyn91 · 20/09/2020 15:24

@SmileyT 🤣🤣🤣 love that Maccy Ds order! I was like yes a girl who doesnt change her diet for a man 🙌

Just back from a 68 mile bike ride- and I fell off 🙈 Basically the girl in front of me fell so I had to do an emergency stop and swayed to avoid her and ended up toppling over myself. Definitely the last group ride Im going on! Ive just scrapped my bum and my shin, belly was untouched ☺️
Such a beaut day!! OH away at this car racing thing so now im reading in the garden. BLISS.

blodyn91 · 20/09/2020 15:25

@Busybee143 your trust sounds completely different to mine! I would definitely start ringing around for your booking in appointment as you need your 12 week scan before you hit 14 weeks I think.

Madz123 · 20/09/2020 16:14

Had my private scan today and measuring exactly 11weeks so due date now 11th of April! So amazing how quickly they grow!

@Busybee143 yeah I would say the earlier the better 😚 just incase as it's torture having to wait an extra two weeks of unnecessary

@blodyn91 hope you're okie! Gosh you ladies are amazing with your exercise routines I'm such a couch potato 🥔 luckily haven't put any weight on yet hah

Oh ladies @Cocoblue22 thank you for telling me to get into maternity clothes. Worn my first pair of size 10 maternity leggings and they are to die for so so SOO comfy🥰😩👌🏽 I wish I had done this before and I have some strechiness left for growing bump

Bit of advice please- I went a bit crazy and got a few mat leggings one size ten and the others are all size 12 (more to test for comfort)- right now I comfy fit into a ten maternity? From experience will I need to up a size leggings in a few months as I'm wondering right now they are going to be too big !?? if a pair are great I'll then happily keep them 👍🏽

Mococo1 · 20/09/2020 16:31

@Madz123 so cute! Congratulations lovely to see a healthy little bubba XX

blodyn91 · 20/09/2020 17:16

@Mococo1 also wondering this... do I invest in size 10 or 12 🤔 I guess your legs will stay the same but your bum might grow 🤷🏼‍♀️ but is that extra booty hormones or weight gain 🙈
I was already very active before ttc, I have cut it down but trying to remain as active as possible as I have this Ironman next September 🙈🙈 I might not even do it, but can't get my money back so will attempt

Bl0ndi3 · 20/09/2020 18:11

I've just had a close friend offer me a reusable nappy kit. Used of course but she's sent a picture and they're sparkling clean and she only wants less then half what I'd pay for them myself new.. it's the exact brand I've been wanting to use myself.

Is it weird that they're used though? She's said she will keep hold of them for me as she doesn't know we're pregnant again yet but I'd mentioned I'd been looking before the miscarriage at these nappies.

Bl0ndi3 · 20/09/2020 18:14

@Busybee143 google scans at 9 weeks and 10 weeks so you know what you'd see at either.

Id go for what ever is in between now and 12 week scan date so you don't have too long to wait either side x

Busybee143 · 20/09/2020 18:39

@Madz123 what a beautiful scan, congratulations. @blondi that's a really good idea, I think I'll do 10 weeks then as I've just had my booking appointment booked in (after saying before I'd been waiting too!) and I want a scan before that so I don't have to tell work I'm pregnant until I know 100% as I had confidentiality issues last time then miscarried. My gut feeling is that I am pregnant but I just want to be extra sure 😊 @blondi I don't think used nappys are weird at all, it's only like you washing them and then using them again so I'd go for it deffo and it saves you money and believe me when there here they seem to take all that 😂 worth every penny though, I love spoiling my little girl, I've got my eye on some unicorn shoes for her that she will look gorgeous in

Busybee143 · 20/09/2020 18:40

@Bl0ndi3 sorry I didn't tag you right above

Bl0ndi3 · 20/09/2020 18:52

@Busybee143 that's a good plan, do that, plus the longer you wait the better the image I always think as baby will be bigger 😍🥰

I thought so too haha they look sparkling clean too and she really recommends them so I think we will buy them and maybe buy a few extra wraps because she got the basic plain ones and I love the more funky designs haha but I can do that and still save so much money!

Busybee143 · 20/09/2020 18:57

@Bl0ndi3 I think I'm going to try and book it for the 1st of October as I'll be bang on 10 weeks according to my own dates.

I would deffo save money where I can. We bought an argos pram for our first and it's served us well so far although she is getting a little big for it now, I'm dreading the expense of a double pram though as I'm going to want something pretty decent that I know a paddying toddler will be happy in 😂

Bl0ndi3 · 20/09/2020 19:01

@Busybee143 my friend was saying as well that it's not worth spending a fortune on an expensive travel system either but highly recommended a lie flat car seat which is what I already want anyway and will take her advice and look for a reasonably priced travel system. This is going to be my only baby I think as OH has a child already he doesn't want a third so no point investing in expensive stuff xx

However for you it sounds like it will be money well spent if you have to buy a double as you have two babs to make happy and comfy haha

Bl0ndi3 · 20/09/2020 19:06

@Busybee143 also that's exciting not too far away at all!!

My first scan is 10th October ☹️ and my 12 week scan will be mid November some time x

blodyn91 · 20/09/2020 19:20

@Bl0ndi3 Take up the offer! My sister has lots of the funky ones, her youngest still in them atm so hoping I can have then afters ☺️ as you say they will have been well washed.

Bl0ndi3 · 20/09/2020 19:25

@blodyn91 it's decided then haha - I definitely will and will just invest in a few extra and funky wraps and maybe a couple of cotton and Microfibre inners as these are all bamboo and will take an age to dry 😂 will want at least a few that I can quickly turn around if needs be!

She's moved her baby up a size now that he's nearly one so hopefully by time we're ready she might have more we can buy off her 😂

She said she's got lots of stuff we could probably have/buy so I'll see what she says once we announce In a couple months!

Busybee143 · 20/09/2020 20:01

@Bl0ndi3 you have to pick and choose where to spend your pennies, we invested in a good car seat too instead of a fancy pram.
I know it's so close and I'm already so scared, I think it's because I'll be returning to the place it all went wrong last time but I feel better about it this time which is good 🙂

Bl0ndi3 · 20/09/2020 20:13

@Busybee143 positive thoughts only 🥰 worrying won't change the outcome so don't waste your time or energy on it 😍

I definitely want to get a lie flat seat and then maybe a 2 in 1 travel system with adaptor as we will want a second isofix base so have one in both cars so rather spend the money there xx

Busybee143 · 20/09/2020 20:23

@Bl0ndi3 I agree with the positive thoughts, I'm trying my best!
That sounds like a good plan with the isofix, they are very safe, we've had one of each

LittleRa · 20/09/2020 22:31

Hi all, just checking back in. Hope everyone is well Smile

blodyn91 · 21/09/2020 07:48

Lots of hospitals are now allowing partners into scans from today onwards, Borris and J Hunt have spoken up about how wrong it is. 🤞 all of you who wern't allowed are allowed now! Its the health care system that have decided on it in a postcode lottery way 🙈

FairyLights2 · 21/09/2020 08:13

Hi ladies, I have another scan today to check baby's bladder. Last time, I was absolutely bursting and feel that could've possibly contributed to it. This time I want to drink enough (so we can see the baby on the screen) but not so much that I'm bursting. Any tips? Would drinking 2 small glasses 30mins before be enough? X

Hope all you ladies are having a great pregnancy ❤️ Sorry, I haven't been active. I've been so busy with work and this extra scan has made me incredibly anxious - I just needed to take a step back.

LittleRa · 21/09/2020 08:25

@FairyLights2 I actually drank waaaay too much and ended up having two “emergency” wees- one at home and one while in the waiting room- not a full emptying of the bladder but literally just sat on the loo and let a little trickle out each time to take the edge off the pressure as I was so uncomfortable! The sonographer said well done on a nice full bladder so I must’ve still had enough 😂 Good exercise in pelvic floor control too 😂😂
