@chloxhunt cheese is the answer to everything 🧀 🧀 🧀 Although my sweet tooth is starting to return! I was really peckish the other night (I’m talking after midnight) and pondered what to have. Then I just thought, “I’ve not had my sweets for a while, I deserve some of those Mr Kipling carrot cake slices” 🐷

KatieG200394 · 15/09/2020 21:01

@aureliacecilia those names are lovely ☺ my partner and I cannot agree on boy names at all, girl names we have one picked out for definite, Rosie 🥰 but boy names is a whole other story, everything I like he doesn't and vice versa, anyone else find this with their partner?

Mrs1989 · 15/09/2020 21:04

@aureliacecilia she does make me giggle, we are definitely chalk and cheese though! Fortunately my family does/did not know anybody with our top boy’s name and top girl’s name so they won’t be on the bad list! Unless they just think they are rubbish names! But it was actually my mum who said how much she liked the girl’s name but it was yonks ago and she will have forgotten she ever mentioned it!

Mrs1989 · 15/09/2020 21:08

@KatieG200394 yep, I had this with my partner! We agree on a couple of girls’ names but we have just ONE boy’s name! We both love it but I proposed other names before, all of which he disliked! The annoying thing was that he wasn’t coming up with any alternatives! I came up with our top one and nearly needed to sit down with the relief of it all when he FINALLY said “yeah, I like that one”. Phew!

ValidUser · 15/09/2020 21:09

@aureliacecilia love your names!

Our baby's name is Chris.

MrsAndMrs · 15/09/2020 21:20

@DSP21 heartburn for me, appears like a real burny sensation in my throat and runs downwards. I get all burpy and it makes the burn worse. I'm all about milk and ice cream right now!!

chloxhunt · 15/09/2020 21:20

@Mrs1989 oooo carrot cake sounds good right about now 😍now you've said it i want carrot cake ffs 😂😂

Mrs1989 · 15/09/2020 21:28

@chloxhunt haha! Sorry about that 🙊

ChubbyMumFromSkye · 15/09/2020 21:28

Lovely scan and bump pics ladies! 💞🌟

I am having a shitty few days with hg so have been quiet but I am lurking here in the background.

I got the appointment through for my 20 week scan it's on 23rd October.

DH and I are struggling to agree on names too, we have have boys ones that we love but not girls names. He keeps suggesting ones that I am completely opposed to 😂
My favourite (and chosen, probably) girl name was Mia, however, DH's niece is having a baby in a couple of months and has decided she will be called Mia, I couldn't believe it! It was the only girl name we agreed on 😅🤪

@Sussexbysea so glad you are back and had good news 😍

Aurora124 · 15/09/2020 21:28

@ValidUser i love the name Ivy!
@aureliacecilia Elliott is my favourite boy name but husband isnt as keen. I feel just like you. I feel iv lost a week. Last Wednesday at my emergency scan I was told i was measuring 12 wks exactly. Then today at my dating scan I was told i'm 13+6 and now due on st Patrick's day!

Beautiful pictures everyone! I would say @Mrs1989 is a boy and @Dipsy77 looks like little girls to me.

KatieG200394 · 15/09/2020 21:39

@Mrs1989 we're even arguing on spellings on the ones we do like lol 😂

DSP21 · 15/09/2020 21:45

@MrsAndMrs mine feels like a ball of burning in my chest, no idea what else it could be. I read that as you ease into 2nd trimester the sickness gets replaced by heartburn, but right now I seem to have both! Went through the first 10 weeks pretty symptom free..then bam!

chloxhunt · 15/09/2020 21:59

@Mrs1989 haha it's okay I guess i can forgive you 😂

MrsAndMrs · 15/09/2020 22:31

@DSP21 sounds like heartburn....I had it all through my last pregnancy and disappeared immediately after birth so I think this is the beginning for me. Bring on the industrial sized Gaviscon bottles! 😂 I had to go out for ice cream tonight....it was the only thing that helped! 🍦

KatieG200394 · 16/09/2020 06:19

@MrsAndMrs drinking a ton of milk helps me with mine

Question for you ladies, my fiance and I have finally decided on a boy name but how should we spell it? Conor or Connor? I'm part Irish so want to use the first way with one n but my fiance prefers the other way with 2 n's. We want to move to Ireland in the near-ish future so which do you think would be best?

Sussexbysea · 16/09/2020 06:28

@ChubbyMumFromSkye thank 😘 sorry to hear you’re having a rough time with sickness.

@KatieG200394 I like Conor

Dipsy77 · 16/09/2020 06:32

@Aurora124 I'm thinking girls too going on the head shape of twin one and the nub on twin 2 xx

MrsAndMrs · 16/09/2020 07:20

@KatieG200394 I drink tons of milk too, the only time you'll ever catch me with a glass of milk is when I'm pregnant! 😂

Oh and I would spell it Conor 🙂

BatKat · 16/09/2020 07:44

Oooh I love all the name chat! We have several names we would happily name a baby girl. Our fave girls name at the moment begins with the same letter as our daughter’s name and so I’m not sure I’d want to use it. I would use a different initial for the middle name but I worry about it being confusing for any letters in the post etc.

Boys names are a problem for us. I love names like Leo, Sebastian and Jack - all vetoed by DH. He’s a bit more ‘out there’ with his suggestions and we haven’t found anything we love so far. Glad we’ve got plenty of time to find something :)

chloxhunt · 16/09/2020 07:53

@BatKat we've got Leo as a name down too lol think that's the one we've stuck with

SnickerdoodleSnek · 16/09/2020 08:01

@KatieG200394 Definitely Conor! That's our boy name 😊 I'm half Northern Irish so we want Irish names. On the other hand we've struggled so much for a girl's name! So far we're settling on Cara.

ChilternsHan · 16/09/2020 08:22

I've been quiet the last few days as I'm away on holiday in West Wales but just wanted to say how lovely it is to see you back @Sussexbysea!

And congrats to all those with good scans. Lots of lovely bumps and names too! My husband thinks I have a bump now, and we like others can't agree on boys names!

Also @Mrs1989 the bowel gas made me laugh. The noises my stomach is making I'm surprised I didn't have that too!

Danni2021 · 16/09/2020 08:58

Morning ladies, how is everyone? I had such a wobble of a day yesterday, just feeling nauseous and then emotional for no real reason. My symptoms have been minimal so I feel bad even complaining 🙈 I just can’t wait for my 12 week scan so I can tell everyone and also explain why I have been such a moody hermit 🤣

Danni2021 · 16/09/2020 08:59

Also loving all the name chat, I find it so difficult to think of names I like

ValidUser · 16/09/2020 09:19

@KatieG200394 I'm Irish and in Ireland and every Conor I know spells it Conor!
