dont worry anout it @chloxhunt it just means we're unique and that we get an AntiD injection at around 26 weeks 😁👍🏽

MrsJ89 · 20/09/2020 07:54

@Cloxhunt I'm same. If the baby has negative blood too then you don't need anything. I didn't with my 1st anyway. If the baby is postive then you have to have an anti d injection like @Landmammal mentioned. I was also told you'd have another injection after birth if baby's bloods positive

Wren1986 · 20/09/2020 07:59

Congrats on the scans everyone!
We finally got our NIPT results through yesterday afternoon and everything is low risk and we're having a boy! We had no preference but had girls names we loved so back to looking up boys names now! We're so happy and have finally felt ready to share the news with family and friends at 15 +1.

We have been looking at the Perfect Prep machine too, glad so many of you recommend it!

DH asked his brother if we could see him and SIL for a catch up (which is odd from DH). They invited us around for dinner. BIL messaged last night to ask if we were breaking news. They're starting IVF soon so we're a little nervous after that message as we don't want to upset them. SIL is amazing and lovely but the boys wind each other up. I'm sure it'll be OK but oh, aren't families fun?!

chloxhunt · 20/09/2020 08:59

@LandMammal hahaha yeah I'll go with being unique 😂

chloxhunt · 20/09/2020 09:00

@MrsJ89 yeah I know! Hopefully it's negative no more injections thank you 😂

Sussexbysea · 20/09/2020 09:11

@Wren1986 oh I’m so happy for you

Sussexbysea · 20/09/2020 09:16

@Thack hope you get to tell them soon. Xx

holb54 · 20/09/2020 09:55

@chloxhunt I'm O negative too, all it is is an injection at 28 weeks (in Ireland) and another after giving birth! Hoping baby has my blood, fiance has never donated and his parents aren't sure of their blood type so trying to get that sorted for him although I doubt I'm lucky enough he's O neg too 🤷🏼‍♀️ bit of a pain but we're universal donors so blood banks love us 😂

Hi everyone,
Just joined Mumsnet and am due 17th March. It's our first pregnancy following IVF. Awaiting NIPT results at the moment as we came back as 1:38 chance of DS - NT measurement was 3mm, I'm 32 and PAPPA was low. Feeling worried as of course we want the baby to be healthy, but we will be carrying on with the pregnancy either way. Should hear by the end of this week.
Bump has started to pop up a bit which is exciting, so trying to focus on that. Will probably book an extra private scan in the next week or so for reassurance.
It's been good to read about all your experiences and worries too - definitely makes me feel less alone. With all the covid stuff and only being seen the once for the NT scan, plus the intensity of the IVF, it feels a bit weird just being left to it with so few check-ins!

chloxhunt · 20/09/2020 11:06

@holb54 haha I know it's crazy! Fingers crossed the baby's negative bc I don't want more injections 😂

Sussexbysea · 20/09/2020 11:15

I’m starting to make lists of things we need/want for baby. Oh the emotions!! I’m so happy, just getting to short of 16 weeks is amazing. Feeling baby wiggle is beautiful

ValidUser · 20/09/2020 11:16

@Wren1986 congratulations!

@lennyeh yes, I felt so adrift when the IVF clinic discharged me! Hoping your NIPT comes back clear soon. 🤞

I'm tapering the steroids and sleeping so much better. It's a relief! I'll be down to 5mg by tomorrow.

chloxhunt · 20/09/2020 11:29

@Sussexbysea I'm so excited to start feeling the baby move I feel like I've already felt it but I've got an anterior placenta so I know i probably didn't but i just felt something so I put my hand where I'm starting the get the bump and felt a twitch aw

DSP21 · 20/09/2020 11:41

Hey mums, are you all continuing pre-natal vitamins throughout the pregnancy or have you switched/stopped? My midwife originally suggested I could stop taking pregnacare and switch to just vit d and folic acid but i'm not quite sure!

Mk0831 · 20/09/2020 12:08

@DSP21 I'm have been taking pregnacare which includes vit d and folic acid. My midwife told me to continue them.

Do what you think it best

Mk0831 · 20/09/2020 12:14

Had my 12+ 4 weeks scan yesterday. I am now due on the 27th March instead of 30th March. Super happy. I'm 13+1 today.

I have been having on n off bleeding and no1 can explain why this is happening- very concerning for me as this never happened with my first two. I notice this when I wipe then the following day is brown.

Happy to see baby is doing well and active. Anyone want to guess the gender?

LandMammal · 20/09/2020 12:14

@DSP21 vit D & folic are the most important ones to take so certainly carry on with those. that's all I've been taking and just the free 1 week's worth of pregnacare in thebag of freebies from midwife 🙈 they are do expensive otherwise! just hope my diwt has been good enough to provide all other vitamins 😁

Babafarmer · 20/09/2020 12:39

Hey guys. Been super busy the last couple of days. It's taken me an hour to catch up on all the chat.

I'm up for another Facebook group. I am a member of the other but joined after it was made to it's quite difficult to fit in.

@DSP21 I bought 3 big boxes of pregnacare when I found out so I'll be taking it throughout 😂

Welcome to all the new members.

Can't wait for all the scans this week. I have my gender scan on Wednesday. Days seem to go slower the closer you to a scan.

@Symphony87 what an awful experience. Thankfully they were wrong.

@Usplusone nice to see you back I hope the time passes quickly and you get your results soon.

@lennyeh when Did you get your NIPT done. Hopefully it'll be back quickly. X

chloxhunt · 20/09/2020 12:46

@DSP21 I still take mine i just don't take it as often and if I forget I don't beat myself up about it anymore

chloxhunt · 20/09/2020 12:48

@Mk0831 I've been having that type of spotting too! You're not alone, they're not worried about it as everything was fine last friday when i had my 12 week scan but it's still really worrying though

Sussexbysea · 20/09/2020 13:49

I take my pregnacare everyday but I have loads of others to take at the same time so there’s no way of me forgetting to take it

LottieX · 20/09/2020 14:21

Is anyone else experiencing extreme bloating and gas build up? If yes, please please do you have any tips to make it better? I literally ended up looking 9 months pregnant last night and spent the night feeling so awful like was going to explode!

krazipan · 20/09/2020 14:21

My reassurance scan went well. The sonagrapher was amazing and spent ages checking over her.

holb54 · 20/09/2020 14:31

@DSP21 I spoke to my pharmacist and she said to just change to the pregnacare max because the omega 3 is so important! That's just what I'm doing though, it is expensive
