Pregnancy group for anyone due in March 2021 💜

@chloxhunt Only private scans I think. Hubby and I are booking one because we can't wait until 20 weeks to find out the sex, haha.

@chloxhunt not sure in the UK but in Ireland now you're going straight from the 12 week to the 20 week! You do have an appointment in between that but there's no scan. I'd love if there was though!

Finally remembered to post my scan. It's been an incredibly long and exhausting day, and I am so thankful that it's the weekend! 😴

@SnickerdoodleSnek yeah that's what we're doing too! @holb54 But when I spoke to my cardiology team they said about a 12 weeks scan maybe because of the virus??

Hi ladies, just been out for a meal and got home and went to the toilet and my heart stopped as I noticed brown/reddish in my knickers, when I wiped it was there quote a bit that was mixed in with discharge. I'm so worried about this now as I've not had this at all with this pregnancy this is the first time happened, I've not had a scan since 6 weeks pregnant and I'm now 12 weeks my scan is next weds and I was already so anxious about it. We had sex earlier but we have previously and I've never had this issue. So worried. Has anyone had this and not throughout the whole pregnancy. Just always feels like something goes wrong for us and I'm so scared that has the sex just triggered something that was always gonna happen as my sick was stopped suddenly at about 8 weeks. Xx

@HollieL567 i think it was caused by you having sex it's perfect normal to bleed during pregnancy after sex as the cervix is softer

@Chloxhunt I'm so worried now I really hope it was just causes by sex but it just scares me so much, I'm scared that I keep getting this far and then something bad happens. I've put a panty liner on to monitor for over night.
Just want this baby to be okay.

Have you had much of this brown discharge, has anyone mentioned to you what it may be? Xx

@HollieL567 I had spotting at 8 weeks and they didn't know where it was coming from, and then i had a little a couple of days ago and again today after my scan, mine seems to be when my period would be due but it hasn't been as bad as the first time! But it's good that's it's brown as that's old blood and as the baby grows sometimes it can push out some of the old blood it's when it starts getting bright red is when I think you need to worry. You've probably just irritated the cervix

@chloxhunt Yes private only I think. We had ours today at 15 weeks - I’m too impatient to wait to 20 weeks. Will definitely be having 32 week scan too privately as I think they say all women should have it ideally.

@Dreamcatcher007 congratulations on your little boy! So far now we've two boys on the thread 💙 I hadn't heard about the 32 week scan but might book one private around then

@Aurora124 I've been taking pregnacare original since I've been pregnant. It's a multivitamin so it has folic acid and vitamin d - my midwife said it was important to have vitamin d too. They're not too expensive and usually on 3 for 2 at Boots

@Dreamcatcher007 oh wow lovely scan pic! That’s amazing that you could find out at 15 weeks. At my local private scan place the earliest is 16. Was it pretty obvious by that point he was a boy? I was wondering whether to book at 16 weeks or wait an extra week or so in case it was hard to see!

@HollieL567 don't fret, a large % of us have had some spotting similar to that at some point, and it is more likely after sex just because of the changes in the cervix going on. If it is because of sex it absolutely won't affect the baby, its very protected. Don't go mad googling as everyone is different and you can't get a personalised answer. I would either call you maternity unit and try and get an earlier scan, or find somewhere private to go but appreciate there is a cost associated with this. You might find it just stops very soon, and i expect its likely the sex just aggravated it a bit! Keep positive xxxx

Have you guys who have had your 12 week scan, had your appointment for the 16 week check up through yet? I've asked to transfer to home birth team but haven't heard anything at 14 weeks, and i know all future apts are now at our house. Reckon I should follow up or give them some more time? Wasn't sure how far in advance they give you a date for the 16 week? Thanks! Xx

@LuHen I got my 16 week appointment after my first booking appointment she booked it at the same time

@SnickerdoodleSnek I also had a stubborn baby who took ages to get into position for the measurements, one the naughtiest they've had apparently haha.

@HollieL567 I had spotting after sex last week and my scan yesterday everything is fine! I think its just your cervix being more irritable.

Glad everyone else had successful scans too!
