@KatyCherry23 thinking of you today.
Is anyone else finding they are more clumsy since being pregnant?

How the hell am
I supposed to drink a litre tomorrow in half an hour can barely drink that a day 😂

Phie04 · 10/09/2020 09:52

@chloxhunt a litre?? Thats way too much you only need to start drinking a pint an hour before

ValidUser · 10/09/2020 09:55

@chloxhunt you could try a different brand entirely if you're finding pregnacare hard on your stomach. It's really tough to continue things that make us feel worse!

LottieX · 10/09/2020 10:01

@chloxhunt I ended up drinking a litre as I started with a pint an hour before and then it wasn't enough! My advice would be to start little and often earlier than I did (depending on your bladder of course)

I then had to go to the toilet three times in the next hour as I was bursting 🤣

@KatyCherry23 good luck for later x

chloxhunt · 10/09/2020 10:02

@Phie04 my mum searched it up and it said a litre!

chloxhunt · 10/09/2020 10:03

@LottieX yeah I'm going to start drinking it at 8:30 then try to finish it for 9 as my scans at 10 so hopefully that's okay

chloxhunt · 10/09/2020 10:03

@ValidUser yeah I could but I can't seem to find any others :(

holb54 · 10/09/2020 10:06

@chloxhunt I'd heard you empty your bladder an hour before than slowly start on the pint (litre if you can I suppose)! The hour is hard enough I wouldn't make it longer unless you've a really good bladder 😂

@holb54 my mum searched it and it said starting drinking an hour and a half before I'm so confused on how much to drink 😂 everyone and everywhere says different 😂

Phie04 · 10/09/2020 10:31

@chloxhunt if you've been going to the loo more because of pregnancy(i certainly have) then I would just stick to emptying your bladder and start drinking a pint an hour before your appointment. You can always take a spare bottle with you if you get there and feel like you dont need the loo. You can't be bursting as the bladder will block the view of baby! They told me off for drinking so much. Also remember the likelyhood of you going in on time is unlikely. And most of the time youll have a consultation before the scan so it may well be an hour and a half anyway. I wouldn't push it to 2 hours you'll be bursting at the seems! 🤣

chloxhunt · 10/09/2020 10:34

@Phie04 ahhh okay! I'll drink a pint then! And then take a bottle with me to sip on! I've got blood tests to but I'm
Not sure if that's before or after lol

chloxhunt · 10/09/2020 10:35

@Phie04 a pint might be enough for me 😂 if i drink a litre it takes like 3 trips to empty it 😂

Phie04 · 10/09/2020 10:39

@chloxhunt exactly. I don't want you to be in the position I was in where they made me come back a week later! My blood tests were done after but they may do height/weight etc before the scan. Also, its very uncomfortable if you are too full as they really put the pressure on your stomach. I thought it would be just running the scanner over the top nice and smoothly but nope she was putting her whole weight on me 😂

KatyCherry23 · 10/09/2020 10:44

I just had the scan, the baby was fine wriggling around, they can't find any cause for the bleeding or pain at all so are doing tests to see if I have an infection. I was so sure it would be bad news I burst into tears when I saw the baby and when I saw my partner.

Thank you for all the support and kind words xx

chloxhunt · 10/09/2020 10:44

@Phie04 yeah exactly! I woke up the other night dying for a piss I was in so much pain lol! Ahh I'm kinda used to an ultra sound so I know what to expect just this time it's not on my heart lol! Ahhh okay! I hope my blood tests are in the same building and I don't have to walk over to the other one 😂

DSP21 · 10/09/2020 10:45

@chloxhunt from experience of a skinny small bladdered person, 1 pint an hour before and I was BURSTING! Definitely enough!

chloxhunt · 10/09/2020 10:45

@KatyCherry23 awww I'm so happy for you!! I was getting cramps with my spotting at 8 weeks too so I know how you feel!

chloxhunt · 10/09/2020 10:46

@DSP21 hahaha thank you!

DSP21 · 10/09/2020 10:46
