Good luck @LuHen @EmzG20 and @Phie04 for your scans today!

@holb54 I love that response!!

LottieDot · 08/09/2020 11:05

@MrsAndMrs how rude! Really don't know why people think they an ask these sort of personal questions! Love @holb54 's response!

aureliacecilia · 08/09/2020 11:10

Probably some of it is just curiosity but there's just no need to be so invasive when it's someone's life - your baby's life! If it wasn't that question it'd be, "Was it planned? Were you trying for long? Was it a mistake? Are you having any others?" It's as if privacy doesn't matter when you're pregnant! I'm sure you will share details you're comfortable sharing with your close friends and family, not distant busybodies on social media.

I follow meetthewildes on Instagram - biiiiiig family with two mums. Don't know how they manage two sets of twins and a younger baby but they seem to be having a lovely time! It amazes me because I have struggled at time being a mum of one!

LuHen · 08/09/2020 11:18

Thanks everyone! Mix up with apt due to conflicting info - totally not our fault! Luckily a lovely sonographer said she would squeeze us in. Baby all fine and very calm. Barely wriggling at all. I have honestly felt so well and have no bump at 13 weeks 3 days - so for anyone worrying about symptoms it clearly doesnt always correlate as we might think! Smile

Good luck @Phie04 for today, sending you lovely baby vibes Star

@LuHen awww beautiful scan! 😍 Little one looks like they're kicking back with their feet up! 😂 congrats 🧡

@LuHen gorgeous scan pic! 😍

Congratulations @LuHen!

Has anyone started thinking of names yet?

MrsAndMrs · 08/09/2020 11:32

@aureliacecilia I have a list for boys and girls 😂 if its a boy, we have a definite fave but can't decide on a girls name

EmzG20 · 08/09/2020 11:32

@LuHen lovely photo. I'm sat waiting for mine now. Hubby wasn't allowed to come with me. 20 minutes to go

holb54 · 08/09/2020 11:33

@aureliacecilia I had a bit but going to start looking into it now properly!

I'm the opposite @MrsAndMrs! I find boys' names so hard. I like a lot of names I would probably not feel comfortable using (I am definitely more of a blending in than standing out kind of person) like Ambrose, Barnaby and Rupert and then a lot of very popular names like Oliver and Benjamin. There must surely be some names in the middle - not extremely popular but still pretty ordinary! I've got a few name ideas for girls that I would feel happy to use. DH doesn't want to talk names until we hopefully find out the sex. If anyone's happy sharing what they like then please do!

aureliacecilia · 08/09/2020 11:40

Good luck @EmzG20 xxx

ValidUser · 08/09/2020 11:49

@MrsAndMrs so rude. Some people! I'd have been really tempted to make up ridiculous answers like "we said instead of using either of our eggs we said we'd ask Mary up the road" or even saying the pregnancy was a total accident. I'm petty and childish though, so I think you handled it better. 😂

ValidUser · 08/09/2020 11:49

@LuHen beautiful picture!

GreysLove · 08/09/2020 11:53

Place marking the new thread! Thanks for setting up another. Been quiet as it's been really busy at work the past 2 weeks- deadline on Thursday so I can relax a bit after that. Still 2 weeks to my 12 weeks scan on 22nd! Feels like forever. I'll be 12+5 if EPU scan was right or 13+5 if my LMP dates are right.
Thought my symptoms were fading as hadn't been sick in ten days, but no- last 2 days it's back!
Don't want to wish the time away but really want to have this scan and feel relaxed again and tell wider family and friends. But it's been so lovely to see all your scans 😊
Just had an offer accepted on a house! Woop! So glad we're gonna have a good few months to get settled and enjoy the place before baby madness takes over!

MrsAndMrs · 08/09/2020 11:54

@ValidUser hahahaha I wish I had come on here before dealing with it! Would have been much more fun to respond with one of these! 😂

aureliacecilia · 08/09/2020 11:58

Great news on the house, @GreysLove! Are you one of the last having a scan? Mine is a week away too.

Shall we look at setting up a Facebook group for around 1st October? Obviously this thread will continue too alongside it.

holb54 · 08/09/2020 11:59

@aureliacecilia I love the name Rupert, it's so cute 😍
@GreysLove congrats on the house! 🥳 exciting times and a new house is a great distraction from baby worry 😂

GreysLove · 08/09/2020 12:02

Yeah I think me and one other (can't remember who soz!) are the last on the same day. I'd be up for a Facebook group to start October :)

ValidUser · 08/09/2020 12:04

@aureliacecilia good idea on the Facebook group!

@MrsAndMrs glad you enjoyed my suggestions. I see I'm in good company here!

holb54 · 08/09/2020 12:06

@aureliacecilia that be great and October 1st is good since everyone should definitely have their scans by then! 🍁

Hi ladies. Just catching up as we went away to get married last week! Was really lovely and actually a pretty good distraction for a week!

So nice to see some many lovely 12 week scans. We have ours on Thursday and despite two healthy early scans I am still a total anxious mess and counting down the hours.

On the names front @aureliacecilia I LOVE the name Barnaby but DH is veto-ing it (for now Wink). Also love Rupert but my sister has a cat called that. Boys names are definitely harder than girls IMO!

MrsAndMrs · 08/09/2020 12:17

I'm up for a Facebook group in October 👍🏼

@aureliacecilia I love the name Rupert, it is adorable 😍 I imagine, a wee boy in a little flat cap and braces ♥️
